in this video, you will see the difference between a rapper and an MC. a rapper is someone that practices the art of rapping; an MC is someone that lives hip hop day in and day out. A rapper allows himself to get shut out of a circle like Eyedea did. An MC demands the mic, because he KNOWS he's the shit, even if he's not.

in a battle, he has his toolkit of go to rhyming words and phrases that he recycles (they all do it). in this case, he was caught completely off-guard and was unable to come back, which is true freestyling in the moment.
