  • Aww! They both have the dark tipped tails and white faces like mama!

  • What an excellent mother! Beautiful miracle!

  • that little guy has lots of pep <3

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!~~~

  • mare is absolutely gorgeous, proud mummy by looks of things!

  • The little foal was sooooooo cute!

  • oh boy, poor mama would have had her, well, hoofs full with those two :) beautiful mama and bubs though :) glad to here they grew up healthy :)

  • The little one:)

  • I Like The Little One :3 Its so Playful and Jumpy :D

  • Awwww they are so cute!:3

  • I'm surprised you let her have both of them. Don't they usually recommend that you force abort one? I may be way off base but I though that was the common practice, because the fetuses can't get enough nutrients from the mare to thrive, and are either still born or extremely weak. Although reading other comments it seems this was not the case, and your mare and foals came through it just fine. Did you know she was having twins? Or was it just a very pleasant surprise?

  • I love the mare

  • They are adorable!!!

  • So cute

  • What a beautiful mare!

  • you've got some BEAUTIFUL horses!!!!!!! i love the 2 foals! (well obviously;) but that smaller one is adorable!!!!! they are really beautiful horss :] what are their names????

  • for horses its verry rare and dangerous to have twin foals

  • So flippen cute

  • CCCCCCCCUUUUUUUUUUUTEEEEEEEEEE CCCCCCCCCCCCCUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTEEEEE

  • is that horse prego again????

  • hi no she is not this was nearly 3 yrs ago and the mare is now being ridden again

  • those would be buckskins palominos dont through palominos verry often but theyr cute

  • awww there so cute look at the sie difference between them :)

  • aww. what a cutie ! just a curious question, one of the foals are one day older ?

  • hi no they were born one after the other on the same day

  • they are so cute and so beautiful !

  • HOW CUTE!:D

  • Can you make a video off them now :Dx

  • you can tell which one got most of the nutriants when it was developing

  • aww,the one is smaller, there is a slight chance that one wont make it, that is what usaly happens, but it might not, they are so darn cute

  • hi they are nearly 3 years old now and doing really well

  • @mistynev good, becuse i was kinda worried about the little one,i am glad that she did not neglect one or abandon it:)

  • @mistynev do you have any updated photos of them? I'd love to see them all grown up. They're fascinating!

  • @1996icedtea no worries boys r bigger than girls

  • Awwww... They are sssooo cute! You wouldn't believe how many times my riding school has tried to get twins but still none.

  • its not something they should ever be trying to get its highly risky

  • @bb123699 What? You, WANT, twins? Is your riding school retarded? Twins can KILL one, or both fetuses, and possibly the mare as well. If I were you I would question the legitimacy of your riding school.

  • @bb123699 I hope they realize that having twins could kill the mare.

  • @mistynev were they both born at the same time

  • Palomenos have Flaxen manes too. What do the foals look like now?I like Buckskins clolrs too.

  • They're all absolutely stunning! But I must ask, is it difficult for a mare to cope with two babies instead of just one?

  • Nawww they are adorable. And they both have practically the same face marking. What a good mum looking after both.

  • The filly may be smaller but she sure seems to make up for it in spirit...LOL

  • can definitely see who got the most nutrition in the womb :) glad to see they both survived, very cute and look like a handful. Any updated videos, I'd love to see them!

  • My fave breed is PalominoooO!

  • Cute!!! Lucky, you got twins! Congrats Mistynev

  • Hi we are expecting twins with our beautiful Irish sport horse did you know she was having twins if so any tips on keeping mum safe we are finding it hard to get any possitive news

  • @Teens1970

hi i had honey scanned at 14 days and 21 days and the vet missed the twins both times so i didnt know she was carrying twins its something that i would never of continued with if i had of known as honey aborted twins 3 years earlier at 10 months both foals were dead and honey also spent 3 weeks in hospital very ill luckily she made a full recovery. i think we were very lucky to have live twins born as it is very rare. Sorry i cant be more positive but its very high risk 4 your mare

  • @mistynev So you always try to prevent twins because it can kill the mother?

  • @Umbreonluvr61391 Yes. You will always have a dystocia - a difficult foaling, which damages the mare reproductively, and can result in her death. Most times, one or both of the foals will be born dead, and usually they don't even make it to term, horses just havn't evolved to carry twins.

  • @Umbreonluvr61391 Not only danger to the dam (mother) buy also the twins are unlikely to survive. Even if they do, they're almost always undersized and have physical problems.

  • hi yes

  • Strange they were missed. Would consider using different vet in future. Hope the best for the foals but sad that they're unlikely to be the size/ability of a single foal.

  • cute!!!

  • Awww that must have been alot of hard work for her, having to poop out two babies aww! How long did the delivery take? I'll bet she was tierd. {:)

  • for bein the small one, hes got more energy and liveliness!!! grats on rasing two healthy foals!!!

  • the one with the blue looks really small. did he/she survive?

  • @spazztastic66

hi yes millie is fine they are now just over 1 year old and millie is now bigger built than the colt tye

  • Ahhh gorgeous foals. Trakehner is my favorite breed and buckskin/dun is my favorite coloring. Any chance you'll sell them at some point? ;)

Congrats on two healthy twins, too. That is very rare. At my barn, there was a mare pregnant with twins and she lost them both. :(

  • @Amplifytwo hi no i wont ever sell them but i do have a full and half sister to them for sale

  • But do the people here know the history of the breed? go to google... type in trakehner history

  • i bet the little one is gonna be a trouble maker lol

  • HA! The one in the blue halter is sooo tiny!! SOOO CUTE!

  • when the momma started movin the one with the blue harness (i think thats what its called) was like "MOMMMY QUIT MOVING IM HUNGRYYYYY!"

  • @xxMinikitty98xx It's a halter, not a harness. A harness is what they wear when they are pulling a vehicle of some kind.

  • they are most likely palomino, dunilino, or are whats called a smokey palomino.

  • the one is so much smaller than the other....what causes that?

  • @Stormyluver12 It is not at all common for horses to have twins. Most of the time, one will not survive.

  • Poor mommy : )

     Double the trouble!

  • It would be great to see a current video of the twins and mare. Is one still larger than the other (common in twins)?

  • beautiful babies, but they are not palomino's they are buckskin's. they have black points

  • hi they are not buckskin they have changed again since this video and are now dun the mum is palomino and dad is bay

  • @mistynev dun? from a pally mare and a bay sire? i think they would be buckskin, dun is caused by a different gene, but bucky and pally are from the same gene. They are really gorgeous tho :)

  • @bella44darkeve20 they are most likely palomino, dunilino, or are whats called a smokey palomino.

  • Aw, how sweet! They are beautiful! It is truly a miracle to see twin foals together! Did they both live? The one in the blue halter looks weaker, so I hope they are okay!

Do you mind if I use this in a video I'm making? It's just too sweet! =) You will get full credit of course. If you'd rather I not, that is fine. Good luck with the babies! Thanks!

  • Hi yes they are both fine now weaned and growing well, the filly in the blue headcollar is catching up with he brother rapidly ;)

  • oh and its fine to use the video would love to see a copy when you have finished

  • @mistynev Glad to hear they are doing great! And I would be happy to send the link. =) It may not be done for a while (it's slow getting everyone's video together, then editing it on a complicated program), but we'll get there! Thanks!

  • Adorable! Did they both make it?

  • hi yes they are both fine, now weaned and groing fast.

  • It looks like one of them is bigger than second one

    But anyway CUTEEEE!!!

  • the filly in the blue headcollar was a bit smaller than the colt

  • that's great :) It's hard for a mare to birth towo foals at once! I'm glad they're doing well :)

  • That's amazing! What cuties!

I hope they're all doing well still ^.^

  • Thank you. they are doing great, the foals are really strong and full of fun now :)
