@sharks445 no I'm sorry to be rude, but that pun ins't receive well here. this is truly a respectable masterpiece, the man composed was immortalized after this piece.
heres the deal... all piano players of today 21st century are copy cats just playing the notes LEGENDS wrote back in their time... so it will NEVER sound as meaningful as they wrote it,... so we can only hope for second best... does legends wrote with M.FCKING PASSION.. they didnt write just a melody!!! THEY WROTE THEIR FELLINGS!!!! and fur elise was beethovens passion at that current momenent!!!
OMG THIS WAS PHENOMENAL!!! IM IN SEARCH OF THE BET COMPOSURE OF THIS PIECE AND MR. NAGAI IS RIGHT UP THERE.... GREAT GREAT WORK SIR!!! I FELT THE PASSION WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I FELL IN LOVE WITH EVERY SINGLE KEY!!!! I COULD JUST LIVE THE REST OF MY LIFE LISTENING TO THIS MELODY!!!! TRULY GREAT WORK!!!! I ONLY COUNTED ONE MISTAKE AND THAT IS BETTER THAN MOST... SIR THANK YOU! I AM HAPPY!!!! -e9er (personal signature)
@Symbian2704 My Piano teacher learned this song in 8th grade. She could then and still can play it good. She's had over 30 years of playing the piano now, but then was her 5th year.
and i learned this song perfectly in 5th grade lol i am 6 th grade now... your teacher is not that talented or just not interested in music that much.........
@spiralwizards She's talented. As well as into it, she just did not rush herself into things kind of difficult right away. Besides, she can play the original and other mixes of it. You could put sheet music in front of her, and she could play it.
THIS, is how this melody should be played... with feeling... with passion... I most often find the other versions of this melody to be too lethargic... boring.
Fur Elise is an easy song to play but get it "right" requires a lot of time and patience because there are a lot of dynamics in it. This is what differentiates a good piano player from a master piano player ;-)
I'd like to point out that Beethoven did not trust performers to give their own interpretations. He often substituted his ideas since he didn't like other composers' ideas. Many people found this unorthodox, but if you can search up how Beethoven interpreted his music, I think that will help you in your playing.
Mr. Mitsuru NAGAI was born in Osaka in 1934. He studied piano at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. After his graduation, he taught piano at the Musashino Academia Musicae for 33 years. In 1994, he ended his music career to dedicate his life to church activities. After silence of more than 30 years, he once again started playing the piano. The performance of the old piano man reveals the genuine aspect of each masterpiece. His performance and music comfort our souls.

This is the version that's nearest to Beethoven's personality. Play it softer and it will make Beethoven rise from his grave.
Vindink 2 years ago 3
when I play it I think Beethoven is more likely to spin in his grave rather than rise from it.
zingmatter 2 years ago
except he's deaf ^_^''
jkjk, this is one of the best i've heard.
wintersnowdrops 2 years ago
Vindink, The piano is very bright is why it doesn't sound soft. And the wood floors make it even brighter. Not his fault.

tempo must be slowed down a little. remember: "poco moto".
