@Memoryburned See my post from two years ago. Also, there's a big difference between Fox News, the news organization that sells the news to conservatives and other branches of Fox. I would assume the people over at Fox News might not like the 20th Century Fox produced "Machete."
@Omnicide If you don't know why people believe in a god, then you probably don't know why you don't. Not really the biggest sign of "intelligence these days."
Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to You, O LORD; For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, And You comfort me.
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”
i couldnt agree more, when i saw this part, it really was an emotional moment. then again, that whole episode on a whole was touching. what a great series this animated version was, you wont find kids cartoons like this nowadays. thank god i grew up with memorable childhood memories such as this cartoon
And you know what's the irony?? The US was built by Christians and other sects that hold God and Jesus as supreme!! But they have let foreign influences and atheists strip away their beliefs.... so sad.
" Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion" most of the funding fathers of the US were deists like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin etc.
And learn the concept of freedom of religion you live in a secular nation.
I remember this episode and thought it was the best thing I ever saw the character do. For an angry one such as Wolverine the only way to get rid of it all is to ask the Lord to take it away. I wish more of the characters on tv had this faith.. the world would be a much better place.
Now thats what I'm talking about! forget veggie tales.
"And from the Gadites there came over to David in the stronghold of the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear, AND whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains." I Chronicles 12: 8
all around good episode if you ask me. It shows the great things about finding God, yet at the same time, the flaws of the church. As a christian myself living in today, i feel saddened that we can't at least show this on national tv. it has to be a special channel
this show came on every saturday morning when i was a kid on regular tv (we didn't have cable). now it's only on Disney XD. doesn't change the coolness though. and the scriputre he's praying is Isaiah 12:1-2. i was reading it this morning:)
yea, it does come on XD. kinda sucks cause i don't have that channel. You a believer too? nice to meet other believers on here. most of the time i see bashers. *sigh* sometimes i felt i was of a very few on here.
Yes I am! good to know you! I know the feeling about bashers, but I'm not surprised. And we probably are a part of the few, the proud , the REDEEMED represented on youtube. ("Where 2 or 3 are gathered in My name, there I am in teh midst')
@Lady4HisMajesty Ah, thank you for clarifying! I have been re-reading the Bible at the rate of a chapter or three per day from start to finish and am only on 2 Maccabees now....
I get where you're coming from, sskev, but you have to realize where the character of Logan comes from. He was born in 19th century rural Canada. He most certainly would have been exposed to Christianity. And while he didn't embrace it, being exposed to a religion at a young age imprints part of it on you. At certain times, it's not out of the ordinary to assume he'd briefly remember.
i remember seeing this as a kid and thought it was a really great moment then, and i still think so now. these days I doubt you'll find something like this aired on kids television. thank goodness they stayed true to both nightcrawler's and wolverine's faith origins, and actually tried to maintain the theology along with it. it showed that someone as angry as wolverine could find peace and comfort in faith.
I remember watching this with a friend. My mom happened to be in the room at the time and looked over. She thought that it was a really beautiful thing to see Wolverine praying in a church. I agree. Too bad today the ACLU would be after Fox and Marvel for portraying Wolverine's Christian side.
@BethelShual Thanks for answering my long time question on what passage that Logan was reading in this episode. God bless

This isn't canon to wolverines character. This is another attempt by fox to christianize everything

Wow, you don't see this on cartoons nowadays. All we see is trashy stupid shows that constantly make mockery of all things Godly.

Partial, completely biased, illegitimate & most of all very funny and stupid argument on theism vs atheism.
