First, you need a flash card for the ds, then plug the micro sd card into your computer, copy the linux downloaded from dslinux. com to the sd card and start the linux .nds file on the flash card

dslinux kinda sucks compared to other linux systems out there. on youtube, look up ubuntu, knoppix, or just type linux in the search bar. ds linux is very basic because of the limitations of the DS.

At this stage it's mostly for the "ooh, Linux on a DS!" factor but you can browse the web with text-based web browsers and connect to IRC. As time progresses the possibilities are potentially endless especially as nano-x improves.

Yes, it will work on R4DS, there is build that works with all DLDI devices, but you'll have just 4MB of RAM :/

GBA emulators will most likely not work at all.

no c compiler, all the stuff is crosscompiled on regular PC. I beleive it does include nethack, but I'm not sure...

But the ssh is pretty much everything I need, in case the battery runs out or I have to go, I simply detach the screen and walk away :)

the nintendo browser works perfectly. Its offical. It show the whole webpage (not the text). But unfortunalty it doesn't have flash. But its realeased in england. I don't know about others

About Opera - 1. I don't want to spend any more money.

2. Doesn't solve my problem that I wanna connect to my server via ssh and have jabber running there. I just need https to auth with the wireless network at school. I prefer to have all stuff running off the DS, as it sometimes crashes, or battery runs low.
