  • Great doc! But where is part 3??

  • great music opening - what this music?

  • Now i can do my assignment :)

  • Why is everyone going on about politics and cultural crap that is not relevant to the doco at all? Yes there are bad living standards, poverty etc but theres no need to bring it up alongside such a fantastic doco. Seriously...STFU. On topic, i really love the music used in this fabulous series, especially the "mountains" theme that comes in at 4:05 and 8:42.

  • @hornetpalooza How could his statements be true when he is only blaming the Europeans for his own failures?

  • ♥ amo la cancion del intro :D

  • I wonder if it was ever half as beautiful here in America.... Its really hard to define. We have some beautiful places here but I believe that the whole of Africa is greater than the sum of its parts. Untold future generations will look back on this time and envy us...We have all the beauty one person could ever behold...

  • In order to sustain the life styles in the post-industrialized societies, with people who, on a PER CAPITA basis, consumes, 5 (Europeans) to 10 (Americans) the average per capita consumption of the rest of the world ---- THEY had to have these things from around the world. Most of these raw resources can NOT be had or generated in the USA or Europe or Japan alone. The Bush family from America, for example, has been buying vast tracts of prestine lands in S. America.

  • Rich families, individuals, & giant corporations are buying lands from poor countries. In the next 50+ years, when humans population pushes the 10B mark, the following become MORE crucial to life than they are now but by that time, they're even more scarce: water, trees & grasses, fertile soil & vast expenses for crops, remaining fossil deposits, rare metals & minerals needed for electronics & communication, vast open "empty" terrains, etc.

  • One other highly important, yet little known fact that is accelerating (as opposed to stopping): very rich private individuals AS WELL AS giant & powerful conglomerates, run by million and billionaires from post-industrialized nations are BUYING (or "leasing", same thing, since once taken over by giant, powerful corporations, Natives chances of getting it back is virtually zero) Africa & other native lands, "piece meal" (in the 10k's ro 100ks of acres)...

  • no need to know how people would treat avatars for real we already know.

  • i wish people would watch this rather than sex and the city, tyra show bla bla shit shit shit

  • "Great, lovely, makes me hungry for more, of you,... "

  • this doc so beautiful n inspiring...

  • with this doc, i have been to Africa so many times...

thank u very much for taking us to Africa...

  • there are kids who are soldiers :(

  • tamale26 you are damn righttttttt

  • Africa has been robbed naked, enslaved, its people killed both physically and mentally by the imperialist europeans. they had their own agenda when they came to africa. They brought religion to us as well as the gun and they took our land and its resources in return, they took our finest men and women in slavery. There is no hope for Africa. we are doomed. The reason why i say we are doomed is that we still havent recognised the extent to which they have robbed us and continue to do

  • true..but am not sure about finest men and women...major slavery took place in west africa, and minima in east...so the notion of great men and women dont really fetch

  • Kidding me... North-Africa is doing well and their are getting better, fuck you talking about... "Doomed"? rofl, they are even better than some eastern european countries. Kenya example is a a nice developing country aswell....

  • @ViruzNoob14 ?

Are you kidding ? First of all Kenia isn't consider to be a nothern africa state. Second LOL - it is obviious that you've never been in any " eastern" european country

  • @tamale26 Yeah but we thank you for your slaves, gold and diamonds, isn't that enough?

  • @lexmark136 we didnt willingly give you those, you took them by force. What goes around comes around and the day you shall pay for all your evil is getting nearer. Look at what your people are doing to planet earth? They are destroying it

  • @tamale26 They sure are! But i'll be dead before it gets destroyed too much so w/e. Pollute, consume and waste as much as you can people, its the new trend! WOOT WOOT!

  • @tamale26 So you're saying the reason Africa is doomed is because you're not dwelling on the inequities of the past as much as you could be? I think you're off the mark a little bit on that one. Maybe it has something to do with the complacency of majorities, both in Africa and abroad. In other words, maybe it's because the people who care don't do anything, and the people in a position to do something just don't care.

  • @tamale26 Your sentiments are true. These days, when Europeans, Americans, et al. from post industrialized societies turn their nose on Natives, from those in the Amazon Forest to those in Africa, saying "We have to save the ecosystems and animals..." my first reaction is: "What utter nonsense. It is only in lands were Natives live, around the world, that humanity can still witness wild habitats & majestic animals." Americans & Europeans killed off all of their majestic animals generations ago!

  • @tamale26 yeah because your govenment are victims and true angels. its your govenment.

  • @tamale26 and that was the past.. today, we can make our own choice, british and american are nothing but a modern terrorist..

  • @tamale26 and that was the past.. today, we can make our own choice, british and american are nothing but a modern terrorist.. evading land through propaganda of helping the poor country but the truth is they want to evade it and destroy.

  • @dethlev Why do you point fingers at the USA when they are the ones who donate money to sustain niggers who do not even deserve it? Niggers continue to blame every thing on my friends, but they hardly blame their own kind for their own personal failures.

  • @MetalBassjunkie420 you are disgusting. i hope you are just being young and naive but if you're over 18, then wow. just wow. good luck in life while being extremely bigoted, cheers

  • @roxslide Quit playing stupid. Now tell me where I am wrong. I bet you can't, can you? Niggers usually blame Europeans for their own problems. I'm not white, but it is stupid when people do that.

  • @tamale26 Why do you only blame Europeans? It is funny how you did not mention the Africans who enslaved other Africans and sold them to the Europeans.

  • @tamale26 this is not a documentry about africa being robbed naked. i respect you opinion but i would really like to watch a documentry about wild life without someone saying something that has nothing to do with the video.

  • @tamale26 hey, u guys are not the only ones man, tibetan people millions of them got killed by chinese military, took our land and resources, there are 100 or more times chinese ratio to 1 tibetan population

they destroyed our monastries, atleast u guys are not still robbed, even now, military patrol monastries, religion and freedom is banned in tibet which is part of china now, it was invaded in 1949

but we still are practicing non violence as His holliness Dalai Lama says :) peace all

  • tankuuuu!! the whole documentry n MUSIC BY CHRISTOPHER GUNNINGS IS JUST DIVINE!!! M SPEECHLESS!TEARS!

  • i hope they don't start building too many cities over that beautiful land.

  • Want to visit africa sometime.
