Closely listen to an Inception dvd made prior to the January the 8th Tucson shooting, especially around the dialogue, "Do It." Check my quotes for more information.
@historybuffpa, a State Fair in PA had Sonic Youth??? Ween??? Flaming Lips??? NY's got Kansas, Styx, Bonnie Rat and a slew of other clunker rusty ol trucks on their stage. Damn.
I saw Pavement in '94 at Lollapalooza in Philly/NJ.
Feel very lucky.
Also saw Pavement's bass player, play with Sonic Youth a couple years ago at a kick ass state fair show in PA. Featuring, Sonic Youth, Ween, and The Flaming Lips.
@gar992000 Yeah, man. I now live in LA, and I just missed the Flaming Lips playing out here at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. I was very bummed because I found out after the fact.
Wow. So, Wonderwall is the only song with chords on guitar, or what? It's not very similar to Wonderwall. If this reminds you of Wonderwall, many songs must do.
I got to see Mark Ibold play bass with Sonic Youth when they playes with the Flaming Lips and Ween in Allentown, PA. That was a dream show for me. Three of my fav bands of all time. Plus a member of one of my others.
kool its adeal id prefer 2 be malkmus but if u got all the right moves then were on. but yeh a gary would be hard and dnt forget mark!!
which part of england u from anyhows?
btw it is 'from now on i can see the slums' at least in this version he did change lyrics alot live though. wish id seen em too i was just 15 wen the split in 1999!! just missed em arghhhhh!!!!!
I saw Pavement once in '95 and twice in '99. For all of the bullshit opinions that that go on about Wowee Zowie being too long or Terror Twilight not being Pavement because it didn't sound like 'Slanted' I personally believe Pavement were incapable of making a shit tune because they believed in what they did and enjoyed it. Reform lads! It's been 8 years already!!
I love wowee zowee for being as long as it is! all of its tracks are great in my opinion. Drab like the stuff on modest mouse's sad sappy sucker is too long for its own good.
saw them in '92 -- probably right around this time, but in Denver. Fucking amazing. Malkmus was so perfect for the time in every way -- exactly what I wanted to hear w/o ever knowing it was what I wanted to hear.
where is this? at the lintfabriek? if so, i was there! if not, i still saw them. then and in belgium. after the gig most of them were playing pool. the rest of the band was hanging at the bar, as was i.
Do you think this was filmed by a friend of Mark Ibold's? Brilliant song, fantastic album, one of my biggest regrets in life is that I never got round to seeing them live.. and now they're GONE! Sob..
What are you doing here, your'e missing the video..
