he is almost 10 weeks old now.. and i got like 5 days ago! i took him away from his mother and when i brought him back home he was sooo afraid for 2 days.. and still he doesnt play alot and he doesnt welcome me when am back home.. he loves me and when i go to sleep he cries cause he wants me next to him.. is this gona stay for a while or will it stop?

i can teach him lots of commands once he starts being playful and all! :(

@thehomefront Im sure there are incidents, as with other breeds that humans take advantage of for their own selfish reasons, where rotties have killed, mamed, caused horrible damage. But you shouldn't just say "these dogs kill children". I wish I was savvy enough to upload some video or images of our rotties. So sad they've both passed away, but they were both so great with our kids, cats, and everyone. Deiter was a "comfort dog" at our hospital because he was so loving. :-)

You will know because they wiggle their stubs. In my opinion Rotts are the most beautiful and best dogs. My last Rott died at 10 years old. He was the best friend I ever had in my life. I loved him dearly. His name was Rommell.

You have to doct them off early, the longer you wait is the longer they will have it in they're mind. by they're first year they will have no recelection of the pain. Its kind of like circumsitions. They are usually only done within the first year of living.

no you do not have to dock the tails, it depends where you live, some countries like Australia where i live made it illegal to dock tails in 2005. People only docked rottweiler tails for hunting purposes in the early days

baby rottwiliers have to be fed more than there usual diet they grow into it they allways have done i have grown up with 1rottweiliers from the day i was born still and was baught a pupy on my 8th birthday and another on my 16th i still got all three of them now and there fighting strong there the best dogs you can have strong, responsable, cute, what i dont get is peopla saying these pups are fat there no where near it there more or less perfect if not under weight
