Wild Pitch is, I believe, a reference to DJ Pierre's Wild Pitch remixes (held in high regard by Mssrs Farley & Heller) which were, in turn, a subtle homage to seminal 80s hip hop label Wild Pitch Records, occasional home to some of the genre's finest groundbreaking outfits - Main Source, Gang Starr, Ultramagnetic MCs etc. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
