  • America runs Egypt all but name, people who run governments are people no body knows about.Removing Mubarak will make no difference.click Justice party UK.

  • Mubarak most certainly is a crook, but the main problem is population growth. A doubling of population in just 60 years is a disaster waiting to happen.

  • @flyhead2 yes,they get too many children.

  • when foreigners were in Egypt this did not happened Nasser kicked them all out you people multiplied many with multiple wives breading like rats what do you expect there were a lot of work when foreigners were there i could see this happening way back in early 1960`s sad to say that it came true

  • population control is needed here.. goverment is not the problem

  • the monetary system has to go! Its supressing so many people. I would gladly trade all my bread for egyptian dates and fruits.

  • maybe when mubarak dies things will get better, but egyptian people have the power to change it. Stand up egypt.

  • Revolution in Egypt 2010

  • Hosni Mubarak is a real motherfucker zionist agent

  • forget about 9000 years of civilisation or whatever you call it it all became history now..but peoples wants bread..............

  • forget about 9000 years of civilisation or whatever you call it it all became history now..but peoples wants bread..............

  • now this is how real egyptians look and looked back in the day i dont fucking no about being black or fucking white lol get real they were brown sink are tan sink are very tan not black or white

  • Aljazeera is highlighting this crisis. It's been shown and no-one is denying anything. I admire Aljazeera for this and the Egyptians are sticking together.

  • why don't this ppl make breads in their own homes, buying bread is not the best way.

Plus that useless government in Egypt needs to go, Hosni Mubarak is ruling that country for 30yrs and there no change, he gets 20 billion from America but what does he do with it?

and now he wants to give it to his son, to rule another 30yrs!

  • You are right about the mubarak regime..where does the US$ go???

  • haha stop having so many fucking kids shit.!!!!over population.

  • Hosni Mubarak, does he have any problem

    finding bread, food?

Does anyone in his Hosni's family go hungry?

    These are visually unappealing people.

  • To all the non egyptian cock suckers commenting on this video who have nothing to do with egypt

listen faggets , this nation was here from 9000 years ago and something else bitches you have no right to talk about my country intetnal issues since you are bombing other countries and one of the main reasons for the globe sufferage

    fuck america

  • @sawanoovel get a life and feed ur poor ass people and shut the fuck up

  • That is what you get when you spend money on mosques and terrorists.

  • people have the government they deserve. What did they think would happen with some 7th century crackpots in government. That they would magically be subsidized by Allah & his pedo disciples.

  • Man at 1:15: "The Army is the only one capabale of planting the wheat, we want the government to distribute [the bread] fairly." Shows how little confidence Egyptians have in thier government.

  • they are barking up the wrong tree. The oughta fire Allah's mf ass, for such blatant maladministration.

  • This is Islam.

  • In stead of praying five times a day they could start working and providing for themselves. Turn the deserts into corn fields, mosks into factories, look what the Israelis did, they turned waste land into fruitful land.

  • Israel is ultimately part of western technological development and a wholesome part of the world's scientific community. Just check their GDP and population.

Israel is like most of the world 13-14 centuries ahead of the Muslums around them.

  • Regime = Religion

    Religion = Regime

    Regime + Religion = Oppression

    Religion + Regime = Oppression

No matter how you add it up, it will ALWAYS equal oppression!

Change the religion and you'll change the regime.

  • Why this issue is turning into a religious issue. This is about people living under oppression. Please, try to discuss the regime, not the religion.

  • There are many comments out of hate. I suggest not replying to those haters, those who has no life so they spend their life on the web thinking they are fighting for a cause.

  • Plus concerning marrying more than one woman, that came up when it was war and most men died, if it wasnt for it alot of us wudnt stil b here, but sum muslims use it negatively. It has its rules.u just proved my point, what does this have to do with economic problem in egypt??man go get a life instead of being a hater.

  • Greece is a 96 percent greek orthodox christians and 4 percent chatholic based country ... they are exactly like egyptians cuclture wise.. how do u explain this ? look man midditerian culture is similar. no matter wat the religion is.. islam is practiced different upon countries depending on the culture of that region .. lets c wats the next way of trying to push islam into this will b.. goodluk

  • this is economic.. not religious.. egypt tie their economy and depend on the usa too much , thats one of the factors.. now thats not the us problem its egypt .. im not blaming US.. and concerning the law in egypt.. its not fair in many prespectives but that does not indicate that islam plays a role in that .. if u study islam well, ul know its not what is being percieved for the past 15 years since early 90s..

  • I dont understand what your saying about investing , But its not only about rules , its about risk, If a Low level Government employee asks for a Bribe , or Tourist are being shot or Christians attacked , it doesnt sit well with Investors... Most wealthy Egyptians have some of their money abroad to the tune of 60-70 Billion Pounds , when That Money start to come back and stays long term , is when the problems start to be less of a burden

  • tourists being shot ? christians attacked ? what the hell r u saying bro .. i think last time uve been in egypt is 100 years back.. look at how many churches there is in egypt and then come and tell me they r being attacked.. 30 percent of the tv presenters nowadays are christian eventho population of muslims is igher. i dont know wat shooting ur talking about .. maybe ur confused between iraq and egypt ahah..look lets end this here, this is not religious so theres no reason to bring islam in it

  • Actually , Sadat can share the Blame with His Open door Policy Public law 74 ... They stopped growing wheat and planted stuff for export

  • Sammy: Sadat died over 28 years ago. The current government is to blame for mismanaging the economy. Nevertheless it is a sad seen.

  • I am Not blaming Sadat directly although corruption was rampant . what I am saying , Is The Open Door Policy changed the Trade Policies of the Country , The Increased Price of Oil led many Egyptian Men to Leave the Farms and Villages and Go to the Gulf states and wrok .. It left a big gap in the Food growen in Egypt .... .... Still havent told me any solutions ( Make them realistic )

  • Islam make people lazy.... No risk , and want the Government to solve every thing for them..... There are many reasons for the Bread shortages ..... World supply and Demand and the Price of Oil and the weakness of the Dollar...

Bread should be a private matter not a Government hands .... Socialism killed what ever good Egypt Had

  • Again islam .. wat do u know about islam .. what does islam have to do with this.. ppl are lazy because of attitudes its not islam .. fuking hell .. these non sensable posts piss me off !! islam does not tell u be lazy , not directly or indirectly. NO religion tells u to act negatively towards any nation or people. i tell u sumthing if any country acted upon islam or christianity we wudnt have many problems we have at the moment.. these religions forbid wat causes negativety to nations

  • Show me one nation on Earth that is Islamic and Advanced ( Economically )

  • If it was saudi arabia, and everything is closed and against modernization and development because of islam. ( that is followed blindly and in a wrong way by them) id tell u ur point is right.. but egyptian rules for investing and the economy in general are not restricted to the point that problems like this arise.. like i said we need to take action as citizens, control population, goverment acts and as a whole change will be reached.

  • Big Western Oil Companies and Multinational Companies want to invest in Saudi Arabia but that not happening in Egypt to that extent

  • You havent answered my last Email.. Economic Development does not go well with Islam

  • the christian religion is not followed anymore .. its gone.. today christian dont know that adultry is a sin in their book .. so if ur tryna show that islam is against modernization well then ALL RELIGIONS ARE

  • You are naive and Dont know what your talking about.. Aduldtry is still a Sin in Christianity

To Bad its not that way in Islam........ Marrying more than one woman or private Marriages are forms of Aduldtry

  • im naive? haha funny coming from a guy thats just throwing islam into everything cz hes a islam hater.. u got no conclusion of wat ur saying .. adultry is a sin in christianity but i wonder how many christians r left in the world. cz i see ur churches quiet empty. biggest percentage of christians are not following their religion anyway.

  • what is a president anyhow!..answer is a manger someone with a knowledge and experience to deliver changes or policies that would make a difference , .egypt is like any other Arab state...are hungry for change..for butter life an kids future.

today! are Arab leaders full of corruption and prostituting are country's future...and that is a crime against are selves ,today!..Arabs are not thinking just a sheep they fed and rally down for salter.

  • and What do you replace these Zuama with... Other Corrupt leaders .......

Islam was never Democratic .. so forget that Idea, what we can hope for is Transparency

  • What does islam have to do with it ?? egypts goverment is not an islamic based goverment .. i dont understand why ppl keep saying islamic goverment wen egyptian goverment is not muslim and egypt has muslim christians and other beliefs.. why do u have to always find sumting to blame on islam and show it negatively .. islam has nothing to do with this situation..

  • its the Attitude of Moslem society that is paternalistic . Leaders tell people to have children, I know Egypt well even tho I havent lived there in 40 years.......

  • sammy islam was never democractic ? so thats the problem in egypt ? r u actually telling me that hosni mobarak is following islam ? bro this is not saudi .. egypts law or goverment is not islamic .. matter of fact i dunoo of any that is following islam even 40 percent right or even labeled that .. part of the law might b islamic based but the goverment and law are not islamic .. so sotp trying to just push islam into the whole thing .. ppl r not taking action because its an arabic attitude!!!

  • Any government whos laws are based ( all or in part ) on Sharia is Islamic , because it takes precedence . I will not argue with you .....

Youy have proved my point over and Over ..... Islam Is the problem which is a religion of the 13th century not the 21 st century .

Good Luck and God Bless ..... Instead of arguing with me .... Go stand in line for Bread

  • But is the law really followed if its shari3a .. islamic nation is wen it follows quran bas..egyptian law includes clauses from british law.therefore its not islamic.. another thing ur probably one of those islam hates, nomatter wat i tell u.ul try to push in islam..whereever u are from , and whatever the reason that made u leave egypt for 40 years..means u were one of the ones cueiing for bread thats y u had to leave.. i dont need to leave the country,i got bank acounts keepin me happy n living

  • It has sharia in it and even French law, But The Major source of Law is Sharia, Oh yes , I was 8 Years Old and Left with my parents ... 3 Months

    after the defeat of 67

  • You are Getting on my nerves now with those stupid arguments of yours. Arab and Moslem attitudes are the same Tiger

  • haha Oh no! arab attitutes are not like muslims.. christian egyptians and muslim egyptians have the same attitude. its the arab attitude.. Mr u need to distinguish between culture and religion. There is a difference.Lazyniness is an arabic cultury based attitude. secondly economic development might slightly clash with religions. Not just islam. Islam does play a role in egypts goverment but not fully. Ur talking like u wana prove that christian religion works with development and modernization.

  • Could you seperate Arab from Moslem? You cant . Because Islam is a Culture as well. Unfortunately Christians have become lazy too.. 1500 hundred years under Islam will do that to a Group of People

  • what u just wrote proves that u just wana hold sumthing against islam.. first u say egyptian goverment is islamic .. which is 100 percent wrong ask anyone living in egypt about it .. matter of fact i just watced a 45 min program on orbibt about it and they proved my point right.. then u try to make islam guilty of becoming a culture that led to arab christian becoming the way they are. Arabs differ from country to another, some arab culture might be closer to muslims than others..

  • my last comment was for this guy saying islamic goverments are corrupt not knowing what hes talking about anyway .. sum ppl just wana bring in islam and blame it for anything going wrong..

  • Coal in the ground, Coooling the ground. Dense liffull forest every where.

An end to classim and desprtistic wars.

    Can you say CARBON

  • people like to blame American for their problems!!!. it's your country's leadership ills for not educating the citizens and planning their future..Think! we Americans already have giving you Aid that was asked of us. That's including more $2billons every year to your government...so, please stop the lies and make changes to bee a responsible member in the world community...oh..you might need a different management ,a newly elected government that is responsible in it's own doing.

  • bro,aid was not asked for,aid was given after the peace treaty in camp david..plus a huge part of that aid cannot be used unless in certian areas.that dont contribute to living stndards,nw mybe the whole instability of us economy lately n oil prices and so on is playing a role in the increase in prices of food but people need to realize that its not just that, its the egyptian goverment, the people, the rules n attitude.finally one big contributer to all this shitis that egypt has over 75 milion!

  • country with this much ppl is hard to control its economy its a lng run pln and egypt better strt wrking on tht before it gets worse

  • I feel the last comment by TILLKER is stupid. You think with a narrow mind. Sorry but look back into any nations history and the avg. birth rate per parent is about 6 including miscarriages and early child deaths. Yet it is the point that they live in a desert. The country cannot support such a large population especially in a time of famine. Just imagine if there was a drought in 2 of the major grain producing nations, many people will die.

  • Yeah. It was a bit stupid but my grandparents had NINE Children and they were European (Slovenian). My dad tolod me they had to b/c their children could easily die. But the miscarriages is a very real fact that many nations with high birth rates have.

Its true with SARS and EBOLA, the world will soon expload in pathogenic plauges that will sweep the land killing millions if not billions. However, its about time :(

Its Natures way of telling Humans to slow the hell down!!

  • Why have 5 children , when you cant feed them . Act like humans and stop breeding children like animals . Lock up the gates of your *****a .

  • Agent Hosni Mubarak should be forced out of Eqypt like the old Shah was forced out of Iran. He is a disgrace and a traitor to Eqypt and its people.

  • what the hell r u talking about and put who ? or maybe bring america in to destroy it like they did with every country they came in .. look hosny is bad in many areas but there is no qualified enough person at the moment to take over.. forced out and whos guna contol the around 80 million egyptians .. whites blacks blondes dark muslims christians jews.. all these different backgrounds of egyptians.. whos guna control ??? talk sense plz

  • Are you saying that there are no intellectuals in Egypt that is capable of running the economy and looking after its people. Is Mubarak (and his his Son - whom is being groomed to lead) the only people qualified to run the country - Think again, and then let me know.

  • There is ppl who are capable but the past elections have u seen sumone good enough?dont tell me ayman nour plz cz if u open ur eyes, hes not capable of being president.

  • I never said Nour, and what make you sure he is not capable .... I jsut dont want an Islamist to rule Egypt

  • I wana also add sumthing, its not an easy job as u make it sound. esp for a country like egypt. Many of sadats actions lled to mubarak being uncapble to acting different. If u have a look at mubarak in his beginings he was excellent. But many things forced him to that negative way. and i have to add. part of it is his own thing. ( which is the problem) Egyptian leaders like sadat came and were forced to act in a certian way because of the president before. This is a long run problem

  • Forgive me for being arrogant, but Mubarak has been in charge for approximately a quarter of a century - you can't blame Sadat or go back to the Pharaohs for Mubarak's shortcomings. It would be interesting to know what he has achieved in his years in power.

  • I would rather have Gamal than any other person,

Could you tell me an alternative to Gamal..... Better the devil we know that the devil we dont know

  • i agree about the gamal thing .. to be honest thats wat i siad in the first place.. If there is an alternative at the moment .. bring him .. ok maybe mubaraks r not good.. BUT WHO WILL TAKE OVER ?WHERE IS THAT PERSON .. because i dotn c anyone capable enough that is showing himself on the spot!

  • That still wont make bread more available, I have been saying , Control the Population and Grow more Food ... that simple .... I price of Oil will have a lot to do with Price of Bread in Egypt and elsewhere

  • The goverment needs to act, the ppl need to work, everybody needs to take action. we dotn have a specific responsibile person for this..and instead of each person blaming another or a religion. we shud start working on developing the economy .. egypt is not strictly closed or anything that wud mean that islam is stopping its economy from growing..islam plays a role but is not blocking any economic devlopment..again.. visit egypt now..mix with investors and the ppl in the economy and ul understand

  • how Much Money do Egyptian Citizens have abroad , that should tell you something about taking risk in investments

  • You got the Devil bit correct! What can be worse than having this dictator in charge? This must be very embarrassing for the Government - then again maybe it doesn't bother them and maybe they don't care as long as they and their families are not affected.

  • Terrible news, and to think this kind of situation can happen in most countries that do not produce much food domestically.

  • Mass protest in Cairo required - THROW OUT MUBARAK! He is a criminal.

  • Thank you aljazeera

  • The problem is not the bread, this are poor people waiting for the government subsidized bread. If a government can not manage a simple matter like that they should resign. With the increase prices of food in the world the problem will get worst. Mubark is a failure and this problem mainly due to his failed agriculture policies. He didn't protect the Egyptian farmers from the subsidized American products so they stop planting necessary products like wheat and cotton and here is the result.

  • Hey the sound of this reporter's voice sounds quite familiar. Reminds me of one of my favourite waiters at an edgeware road restaurant - can anyone out there help me with his name though???

  • your population is too big. your country is not able to produce enough food to feed your people, so stop expanding your population.

  • It can all be produced the problem is stupidity here with human life on earth.

  • Flirmy

why the fuck do you put your nose in our issues in the first place , mind your own business crusader

  • US puppet mubarak corruption is eating all funds that are suppose to be used for agriculture devlopment he and his sons plus the elites must be removed

  • There's no law of nature or man that can keep this from happening in America. Remember what happened to German currency during, WWII, the German Mark? That had never happened before and it was devastating and totally unexpected when it happened.

  • it's passover time...

    d'jaal flies...

    don't anyone listen?

  • Let them eat cake

  • We can not allow Egypt to collapse and become a breeding ground for islamic radicals. Whatever amount of aid that is needed must be provided. The UN should act immediately.

  • Egypt gets MUCH more foreign aid than Israel, yet no one is starving in Israel & they have food. Perhaps since Egypt has a treaty with Israel, they could ask their neighbor for bread? Would PRIDE keep them from asking for help?

UN disclosures indicate Egypt gets MUCH more foreign aid than Israel, why the shortages?

  • egypt might get more than israel does from the UN but dont forget it has a population that is 15 times larger than israels!

And you should also not forget the billions of $ of US-aid israel receives annually.

Last but not least the government in egypt is one of the most corrupt goverments on this planet. the president and his ruling circle take all the money and only give a small remnant to the population that needs it so badly!

  • seems like all the islamic governments are horrbily corrupt, the monies benefits never seem to reach the people, no matter what benefits are given or received or earned...

the oil money, where does it all go? hotbird prostitutes for the thousands of princes and white leather sofas to match is all we can imagine, if we dare to taint our souls with such dirty musings...

something is wrong at the top in almost all the islamic states. rot at the top.

  • youre totally right, just change "islamic" into "arab". all the arab regimes are totally corrupt and dont care about their people! The problem is that they are NOT islamic because islam strictly prohibits this harsh exploitation and torture of people!

but as long as they deliver the oil and supress any kind of political emancipation in their countries the west consequently supports them.

  • ok, so lets be specific, the pseudo islamic governments, because no, they're not operating in a way that islam could condone, but hey, who is really flying the flag for holy lore/law in the islamic world? tsadak? where?

yes indeed, so long as the government puppets suppress any political or social emancipation and ensure we see the people belittled by arms deals that fluff their cushions and ensure that islam is humiliated and defamed by reflection, the west are THERE 'supporting'

  • another uneducated western, sadly u guys dont know the difference between arab and muslim..egypt is not an islamic goverment secondly egypt has percentage christians and other religions, last but not least ur talking about aladin kinda thing haha there is not princes in egypt, egypt has elections,is it cz the video has ppl with a scarf u assumed all egyptians are muslims and that the goverment is islamic and then thoughtof princes and aladin?stop tryna blame mslims al da time, for fukin gods sake

  • though Egypt does not have Sharia...you are forgetting that it is indeed run by muslims. thouguh there are elections..you are forgetting that Hosni Mubarak has been President of the "Republic" of Egypt for 26 1/2 years. You are also forgetting that, the percentage of Christians in Egypt is approxiamtely 8%...and they are opressed.

  • You are forgetting that Egypt receives billions of $ in US aid annually too...just like Israel it is a result of the Camp David Accords.

  • Israel gets the most US aid before u blabber out a bush of non sense look at US State deaprment figures. Not to mention that if it was not for the US puppet mubarak corruption maybe there would be more money to put into agriculture devlopment instead of being put into mubaraks bank accounts

  • first, egypt gets less. second.. plz make ur comparisions sensable.. egypt has over 75 milion ppl, another point .. this bread problem is an example of many things happening in egypt .. because egypt has fake economy. wat is that ? egypt is concentrating on enchancing the lifestyle of middle and high class ppl .. amazing resorts, big hotels, designer clothes, all international brands andn hotels and franchises are in egypt now! but what about hte poor ? they keep getin poorer.. firt help those

  • so long as the puppet governments suppress freedom and the people are pawns for arms dealers islam is humiliated and defamed by reflection, a travesty of the faith it professes, war is never peace

    peace is 'isalaam

[i do not write arabic and refuse to use given translations on spellings]

  • first, egypt gets less. second.. plz make ur comparisions sensable.. egypt has over 75 milion ppl, another point .. this bread problem is an example of many things happening in egypt .. because egypt has fake economy. wat is that ? egypt is concentrating on enchancing the lifestyle of middle and high class ppl .. amazing resorts, big hotels, designer clothes, all international brands andn hotels and franchises are in egypt now! but what about hte poor ? they keep getin poorer.. firt help those
