  • NOW ALL YOU NEED IS A SINGER,NICE LEAD GUITAR AND RIFFS ARE AWESOME

  • professional studio! But sonar x1 may be a bit tough to use for beginners

  • Dude awesome work. It sounds so professional. Did u record all the guitar takes by Line 6 UX-2? How good is it for recording vocals and other instruments like keyboard???

  • I have an xf-fi sound card and do gaming on that as well :) do you run eyefinity on those screens? or nvidia 3d vision? also does the multimix work as a sound card while recording? it records simultaneous tracks right?

    Thanks!

  • os projetos do sonar 8.5 abre no sonar X1?

  • this is so sick, and i love your set up too

  • @substantiate633 I'm waiting for the Recon3D Fatal1ty to be released, but I won't use it for ASIO, that's what the desk and UX2 are for.

It's going to be a pain to fit as it sits between both GFX cards which are connected by an aqua-bridge.

  • @typify19 It's fruit juice made from strawberries, apples and bananas :)

  • @nsmadsen me too

  • Which vsts would you recommend for a beginner?

  • @reservation80 To be honest, you can do almost everything with the stock plugins, "out of the box". So start there and see what you are into :)

  • @reservation80 When u are Beginning dont ask for plugin recommendation as a beginner ask for pro plug ins recommendation. i would leave that question for gears xD

  • @substantiate633 hell yeah dude. The Recon 3Ds are beast!

  • damn. looks like to much is going on here for me. I can't multitask to save my life!

  • Danielle, this is great- thanx for sharing. Reminds me to get in touch with Steve... I miss him

  • Love your videos <3

  • how did you make this vid?

  • more videos please!!!!!!

  • where can i buy this!!

  • wow great job

  • how did you make this vid?

  • a favorite from me

  • LOVED IT

  • download?

  • LOVE this song! the voices are amazing

  • Love <3 the song

  • the beat is really catchy

  • this is awesome, you need more views

  • i can jam to this all day

  • I love the beat

  • great job

  • The main reason I use Sonar is for the 64bit compatibility, but that is still buggy..

Thinking on using the Mackie software for tracking and then Sonar for the plugins when I need them. Great stuff just wish I could find a stable DAW without having to save every 2 mins

  • Yeah liquid is very bad for electronics, always tell my buddies please dont put that on the equipment. hahahah, keep it on the floor.

  • Watch drinking stuff around your equipment. I had a new HP laptop and my wife was using it and spilled a glass of iced tea in it. It was instantly toast. Then I had to spend over a grand to replace it so be careful.

  • @MrNocaster1 I do, that's why the drink is on a separate shelf to the keyboard :)

  • @DanielleHallett Are you using the same host software on each screen? If so , How did you get the all n sync?

  • @MrNocaster1 one spill kill the thrill

  • great mix. sounds awesome. i'm not a sonar user. for me, it just feels "crowded". i mostly use ableton, reason and studio one, but you can't deny the quality of the sonar suite. i heard x1 expanded still has stability issues, though. anyway, real good production.

  • Has anyone made a switch from Cubase 5 to X1? I want to try another daw because I'm tired of crashing and freezing in cubase.

  • What did u change in the preferences in Sonar X1 to use ur alesis multimix 8?

  • Now you just need a nice set of audio monitors...

  • @robvk6 I do, you just can't see them in the video. There are a pair of Tannoy M20 Gold MkII's above and out of frame :)

  • @DanielleHallett Right on, nice set up...

  • To many cables bro, hide them , do something. lol god studio bro.

  • @raytrayt2001 That's after I tidied it up for the video :)

  • Is your name Stephen Cox? That is the name of a teacher I had lol

  • @produccionesmiranejo No, my name is Danielle :)

  • shit mastering. drums almost not hearable. No kick drum at all. Sounds not deep like modern songs.

  • how stably does the Sonar X1 work? I have many problems with hanging, not saving, not opening the project.

  • @igoRajon It's *much* better than it used to be, but it still falls over occasionally.

  • does the multimix 8 give you 8 different input channels on sonar? I've been looking for a multitrack interface to get my home studio going nad that seems like an affordable solution for me. Thank you in advance.

  • @TheBurdenCarrier Sadly no, Sonar just sees it's stereo bus. It's not a big issue for me really, but if it's important then I recommend a "Pro" audio card and perhaps a Mackie VLZ-1202 which gives you 4 busses,

It's also quite a bit higher quality than the Alesis.

I used to use a 1604 when I did more recording, but then I sold everything :)

  • I love that triple monitor setup.Mission Control indeed.

  • @Bassmandave2000 Thank you :)

Having a lot of desktop real-estate is useful for many applications and games; I recommend it if you have the room.

  • is this the latest version

  • @Pvtchrislee07 If you mean Sonar, then yes; This is the most recent version of Sonar X1 (formerly Cakewalk).

  • @Pvtchrislee07 Yes it is, fully patched etc. with the latest guitar rig too.

  • nice keyboard , can't see what kind it is but it looks good from here

  • @ColdGripHandle Thanks :)

It's a Logitech G19, looks pretty, amazing for games, horrible for typing lol

  • i love it to bits, but i dont get why you use logitech speakers instead of studio monitors

    peace

  • @zinc4life hehe, very good point. The Logitech speakers are for gaming, just out of frame up on the wall are are pair of Tannoy M20 Gold MkII monitors :)

They are old, but they sound great lol

  • @DanielleHallett oh tannoys are amazing :)

  • real Power !

  • I've been using the x-fi elite and home studio xl for about a year now with great results. Surprised at how good it works/sounds. Yours sounds great! Nice job!

  • @WhippJunior I was really surprised by how well the X-Fi worked actually. All the forums and experts say the Creative cards are no use because of latency etc. but I've found that to be elitist nonsense :)

That said, I do use the Alesis USB desk and UX2 for balanced inputs though curiously I get less noise and latency when I hook up the Alesis to the line in on the X-Fi in ASIO mode instead of using the USB audio path straight from the desk.

  • lol you're very proud of this I see.

    But WHO HAVE YOU PRODUCED.

AND WHAT WAS YOUR GROSS PROFIT

IN MONETARY TERMS LAST CALENDAR MONTH.?

  • @icecoldisaac86 Who are you and why do you care?

(Also, the Caps Lock button is over on the left of the keyboard, you might want to look for it....)

  • @DanielleHallett I AM THE KING OF CAPSLOCK QUESTIONING.

AND I DEMAND AN ANS-WER SERF. Whom hath you prod-uced.??

    and where is your music.?

  • @icecoldisaac86 Ok, I'll try to not use any big words which will confuse you, also you might want to get a member of your royal entourage to explain my video to you.

"Sonar Producer" is not a job title, it's the name of a piece of software (the one in the video). The title also says "Home Studio"; It's a hobby, not what I do for a living.

I hope that wasn't too complex for you to understand :)

  • @icecoldisaac86 - you're either nosy or jealous or you work for the tax office :)

  • goood

  • @1175ghost I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

  • Great setup - great music.

  • @daddywaytooloud Thanks :)
