Joker better stay dead. I swear to god. Every freaking time someone dies in DC, they just come right back. Death has no meaning in DCU. It just means the writers are too scared to throw away their IP potential. In the future, DC writers shouldn't bother killing anyone if they're going to give up respect for their own source material. Might as well make every character immortal like Ras al Ghul.
This scene is both great and really saddening. Talia isn't dead. Her body disappears when you are fighting Clayface. I also think that she was the one who put the cure into Batmans right hand at 9:33, when he was holding it in his left hand before that. And you'll notice that Ras al Ghuls body disappears when you go back to where he fell. She took his body.

Clayface as an endboss is badass, and he's much harder than Joker on steroids. While this is one of my favorite games, I'm not very fond of the fact that about 75% was mainly about getting the cure. The "Uncover Protocol Ten" part of the story was dropped too early. The only time Batman took a break from the cure was when Protocol Ten was activated. Not trying to troll or anything, I'm just saying.
The gameplay, the overall touch of the game and the cutscenes especially are great but the story is just ridiculous. Why the fake Joker (Clayface, who was on Jokers side) couldnt just give the real Joker the cure? And this Batman's line "even after... I would have saved you" is so "epic" that it's pathetic cause it makes Batman look like a retard O.o He should have said instead ,,You know what Joker? After all we have experienced together... I actually like you!
Clayface Joker never had the cure....Talia intercepted it from Harley. After real joker killed Talia, Clayface did take the cure but then Batman was between him and Joker....and Batman wanted the cure as well...
The last line from Batman was to tell Joker that Batman would still have stuck to his principles of trying to save everyone and Joker ironically brought upon his own death by stabbing Batman. Joker finds the situation ironically funny and dies with a smile on his face.

whether you're a comic book follower of the series or not, you have to admit this ending was deep. The way he carried his greatest enemy out, and how you can tell that Joker's death had a huge impact on him. canon or not, this was a good ending to an awesome game, IMO.
@cantstandya2 The League of Shadows had already taken Talia's body away (that's why we didn't see it during the fight with Clayface). They did the same with R'as, probably taking them both to another Lazarus Pit, leaving room for a possible sequel (that, and Harley is pregnant with, or has already given birth to, the Joker's child). Batman just carried him out as a last sign of...respect, I guess, to his greatest foe.

at 8:59 you can see the cure in batman's left hand, ( 9:23 again)
after the explosion ( 9:30 ) he holds it in his right hand.
I believe the joker takes a sip of the cure, while batman blacked out, and puts it back in batman's hand.
Clayface died, but is resurrected by falling into the pit, and takes jokers form again, but this time the dying one.

@cantstandya2 The League of Shadows had already taken Talia's body away (that's why we didn't see it during the fight with Clayface). They did the same with R'as, probably taking them both to another Lazarus Pit, leaving room for a possible sequel (that, and Harley is pregnant with, or has already given birth to, the Joker's child). Batman just carried him out as a last sign of...respect, I guess, to his greatest foe.

I didn´t liked arkham city as much as arkham asylum.
The fighting and flying around was fun and the bosses were cool, sure.
But I stucked like 3 times because I didn´t know which way I should/could go or where the door is.
And in didn´t had the feeling I would fight the final boss as I fougt clayface, beacause I exspected an Joker fight .
I think joker could really be dead and the third game plays in the time of batman beyond.

@ZadorBador just because you got stuck and didnt know where the door was doesnt mean that the first was better just means your to dumb to find it.Also you say you expected to fight joker at the end well isnt it a good thing you get to fight clayface instead i mean it adds a element of suprise and makes the story better realising jokers was never cured and just beacause jokers dead doesnt mean thats the end of batman so i doubt very much they would do batman beyond

Guys, he's alive because of this: You can see that batman had the cure in his left hand, and after the explosion, he looked at his hands to find that it was now in his right hand. Clayface and the Joker could of done anything in that time, and even become sick Joker. Not to mention, the Joker was brought into Gotham City by batman. That means the Clayface (or the the joker) has gotten into Gotham City.

If anyone else noticed in the video game awards when arkham city won game of the year the joker was thanking them and then at the end he held up a sign saying Batman:Arkham World. Then he said "Oops spoiler alert"

lmfao joker didnt die. joker took the real cure switch it with batman when he was unconscious. made a fake body like he did when the girl stabbed the false body. so basically joker took the cure ran off and made a fake body die making batman think he is dead. nigga still alive

When the Lazarus Pit is exploding, Batman is knocked unconscious with the cure in his left hand. When we wakes up it is in his right hand. Possibly meaning someone took or switched it while he was unconscious.
