Wasn't the Scamp "related" to the Dart? My brother use to have a Dart "Swinger Special" and from what I can remember looked very similar. Then again it's been ages ago, and I may be remembering it wrong.
I gotta admit..I was reading the responses before I watched this and saw the " fake " exhaust comment and I was all ready to make some smarky comments on what a girly poser a :::gasp:::318 Mopooch is..and then at 1:37 that bastard lifted like 4 inches and roasted those baloneys for what looked like a quarter mile..DAMM..that was pretty fukkin impressive...You have certainly defined the term...sleeper. Bravo
Is that a phony exhaust pipe in the back? Sleeper look? I only ask because I see only one pipe, and it sounds like you dumped the pipes right behind the mufflers. I chopped the tailpipes right behind the muffler outlets on my '71 318 Duster, sounded just like your car when I wound it up.
@mopar6pack Thanks man, And yeah, it's fake I even fogged the inside with flat black paint. The "Happiness is being a grandparent" license plate frame completes the deception.
@hypermite01 lol at the license plate frame, I didn't even notice. Painting the inside exhaust tips flat black,now that's a tip I'll have to use if and when I ever drop a 360 in my '68 Dart; I still have the original 273 w/ 53,000 miles under the hood.
THE DUSTER...THE SCAMP ..all of these cars were part of Plymouth's VALIANT line .When they were first introduced , they were refered to as the PLYMOUTH VALIANT SCAMP and the PLYMOUTH VALIANT DUSTER. I have a 74 Valiant Scamp 318 with dual exhausts...It doesn't look or sound as good as YOURS , but, I'm WORKING ON IT. JUST AWESOME !!!!

Every time I see one of these for sale in my area I think I ought to have one. I would keep it looking stock, as well - maybe with a mild 340 and old-school daisy mags like "back in the day". I own a 75 Scamp and I am in love with mine! I am working on restoring it. It has the original slant 6 in it right now. I am working on getting a 318 to drop in her.
what kind of mufflers do you have and what kind of heads do you u have .... what kind of headers do you have? and are you using adjustable rocker arms. thanks..
Very nice car! and i doubt your 5.0 will smoke it. ive got a 74 scamp and i know wat you can do to those things. mine have a 440 stroker in it pushin 850 h.p.

Flowmasters (too loud!) 360 "J" heads, cheap Hedman headers, & comp magnum steel rockers.

Cam is an old Direct Connection 280- .474. 8.75 rear is from a 69 Charger. converter is a GER 10"
