  • Nice Scamp man! Well put together. Put some paper bags in the trunk full of groceries and head to the local cruise night! I have 72 scamp as well, 340 with 10.25:1 ported X heads and the list goes on! I plan on posting some video soon. Sweet car! "Thumbs up!

  • thats gotta be one of the best working 318's ive ever seen, I hope you still have this car!

  • Wasn't the Scamp "related" to the Dart? My brother use to have a Dart "Swinger Special" and from what I can remember looked very similar. Then again it's been ages ago, and I may be remembering it wrong.

  • @mlthomp1981 The Swinger was basically the same car, just different sheetmetal up front.

  • I gotta admit..I was reading the responses before I watched this and saw the " fake " exhaust comment and I was all ready to make some smarky comments on what a girly poser a :::gasp:::318 Mopooch is..and then at 1:37 that bastard lifted like 4 inches and roasted those baloneys for what looked like a quarter mile..DAMM..that was pretty fukkin impressive...You have certainly defined the term...sleeper. Bravo

  • Clean lines, clean car, and its a Mopar! very nice

  • Nice Scamp, sounds mean as hell and looks great.

Is that a phony exhaust pipe in the back? Sleeper look? I only ask because I see only one pipe, and it sounds like you dumped the pipes right behind the mufflers. I chopped the tailpipes right behind the muffler outlets on my '71 318 Duster, sounded just like your car when I wound it up.

  • @mopar6pack Thanks man, And yeah, it's fake I even fogged the inside with flat black paint. The "Happiness is being a grandparent" license plate frame completes the deception.

  • @hypermite01 lol at the license plate frame, I didn't even notice. Painting the inside exhaust tips flat black, now that's a tip I'll have to use if and when I ever drop a 360 in my '68 Dart; I still have the original 273 w/ 53,000 miles under the hood.

  • good job. looks like it was picked up from the dealer yesterday.

  • excellent video! good music and beautiful car! those were some of the best cars america ever produced

  • I had a 74 Dart Swinger with a 318. I really miss that car

  • THE DUSTER...THE SCAMP ..all of these cars were part of Plymouth's VALIANT line .When they were first introduced , they were refered to as the PLYMOUTH VALIANT SCAMP and the PLYMOUTH VALIANT DUSTER. I have a 74 Valiant Scamp 318 with dual exhausts...It doesn't look or sound as good as YOURS , but, I'm WORKING ON IT. JUST AWESOME !!!!

  • Great ride, loved my '74 I had back in high school.

  • Really nice, clean, straight Scamp. Super job. I like the fact that you have kept it looking stock. Great sleeper, I'm sure. No doubt you have surprise a few people at stoplights! Every time I see one of these for sale in my area I think I ought to have one. I would keep it looking stock, as well - maybe with a mild 340 and old-school daisy mags like "back in the day". Thanks for sharing.

  • @LilGuy9729 Thanks man! I thoroughly believe in " Look stock & carry a big stick !"

  • cool video, great looking car! That thing does really well for a 318

  • This makes me appreciate my little 73 Scamp even more! Thanks for making such a good video of a truly beautiful car! :)

  • @StrawberryScamp Thank You! Actually a very good friend made the video for me, I'm not anywhere near that talented!

  • whats under the hood?

  • @BigVick26 .060 over 318 with 360 heads.

  • Sweet Scamp, sweet color, sweet sound.

What would make this hot car better in the video? A hot babe modeling the hot car THEN having her smoke the tires.

  • I own a 75 Scamp and I am in love with mine! I am working on restoring it. It has the original slant 6 in it right now. I am working on getting a 318 to drop in her.

  • sounds like the same car i had small world i guess i sold mine to that guy from highlander

  • what kind of mufflers do you have and what kind of heads do you u have .... what kind of headers do you have? and are you using adjustable rocker arms. thanks..

  • Flowmasters (too loud!) 360 "J" heads, cheap Hedman headers, & comp magnum steel rockers.

  • do you have a hughes cam in the car and a 8.75 rear what converter is in the car nice car

  • Cam is an old Direct Connection 280- .474. 8.75 rear is from a 69 Charger. converter is a GER 10"

  • Now that's a real car.

  • I had a 74 Scamp as my first car. I wish I had more money than I knew what to do with. I would buy another one and pimp it out!

  • As the proud owner of a black 74 Scamp I can only say : "SWEET !"

  • This video............. is pretty fuckin cool. Can't wait 'til my 318 Duster can smoke the tires for 50 feet like that, LOL!

  • Very nice car! and i doubt your 5.0 will smoke it. ive got a 74 scamp and i know wat you can do to those things. mine have a 440 stroker in it pushin 850 h.p.

  • 5.0. LOLLOLOL

  • WOW!!!!!!!! :D

  • good job on the video looks great!

  • nice looking scamp there, cool vid too.
