Thanks, SBP, I'll need to look into that. I've wind shields for all my stoves, and certainly amn't suggesting the Honey Stove is only used as a windshield ;-)
After a trip out this weekend, I'm off the idea of using the lid as a frying pan. It is just too messy. Okay for an overnighter, but I'd want something separate from my cookset if out over a couple of days or more.

If you use the Snow Peak Titanium stove with the special wind shield, it eliminates the hot spots. Its also a lot more compact.
