Artillery bombardment all the day long proceeded, fights with use of tanks and heavy combat material, both against ossetic armies, and against peace inhabitants were conducted. 2000 civil people already were lost.

If Russia and the US go to war Russia will lose. The US military has a much bigger budget than that of the Russians. The Russians got their asses kicked in the first chechen war. Russia wants to restore its terrority it had under the USSR. if this keeps up the US and the rest of NATO will have to step in and stop Russia from recreating the USSR.
