When this song was written (now going on 10 plus years) female sci-fi/fantasy/gaming/computer fans WERE outnumbered drastically. Tripod and myself are from the same X generation. I was tormented because I was into sci-fi/fantasy/gaming AND got bullied from knowing how to use a PC! When I was growing up I was the only female I knew who openly admitted to liking these things, now society has only started accepting these and embrassing them into the mainstream fold in the last 10-15 years.

All over the world is the same... I'm from Spain and I consider myself as a female geek, and I think there are so little girls like me just because image society forbids us to do whathever we like and make us unconciously try to be as the sex symbols and stars we watch on the mass media. There is no equality, and geek boys are suffering it as well as women. In addition, in my group of friends I sometimes feel outcast!!! lol

@lajebitiesa Actually, the case is that there are a lot of gamer girls. The only thing is that they disguise themselves so that they don't LOOK like girls so they don't get bombarded with bullshit such as, "hurr hurr I like nerdy girls herp derp," etc. As Muglez14 so eloquently put it, being a female gamer does not make you a special and unique snowflake.

I like nerdy girls because they share my general hobbies and interests, but at the same time I don't like people who expect worshipping and ass-kissing just because they possess the thumbs necessary to exist on a console/computer.
