@grayhairs519 I am from the deep south lol my family was Baptists, Baptists are generally prudes, but polite prudes, much like Methodists although there are churches of them in dumb towns with more extreme idiots, I dont think their as crazy as pentacostals, or 7th day adventist or even Jehovah Witnesses. The most crazy are from private family or local churches singing their own tune not in line with mainstream. Names like Church of god, or church of Jesus in one horse towns, look out for those.

The look on Plainview's face at the 2:18 mark. "Oh OK, I see whats going on here"...and the people in the church are suspicious that Plainview is going to rip them all off as capitalists do. An attack on capitalism and the Church....many people don't realize that was the point of the film. I was talking to a co-worker the other day and he said he hated it because he was waiting for machine guns and action scenes. This is the best film out of Hollywood I've ever seen.
