  • preciosa version

  • great vocal!! :-)

  • Csodálatossssssssssssssssssssssss.

  • Just a Great Song....................:)

  • I see how a lot of people criticize Kris for a song that he wrote. Take a moment to think that if Kris Kristofferson never released this song, then people like Elvis would have never done it himself. Elvis was not a songwriter by any means, and his excellent stage performances and image were the two primary things that got him over.

  • Csodálatos hangja van:-))))))))))))))))

  • Fantasztikusan jó szám! Aki feltöltötte annak köszönet!!! De szeretném ha újra végig lehetne hallgatni és nézni a videót!

  • DId elvis ever sing this?

  • @DePokerGod

    yes he did

  • @titanic1972

Oh yeah, he did, thx. He did it a million times better than this guy.

Was just wondering why anyone would click on this when elvis is the superior choice.

Its like drinking brand made cola when coca cola is just right there!

  • @DePokerGod cause sometimes you want to hear the writer's interpretation

  • @aj71169 Elvis sang this.....lets keep it that way.

  • @DePokerGod yep, cause he's the be-all of vocalists...

  • @DePokerGod That is utterly ridiculous, Kris Kristofferson captures the raw emotion of the song HE wrote. Now I'm not arguing Elvis is inferior, Elvis is fantastic, but so is Kris, and by stating otherwise all you are doing is denying yourself the joy of this great artist.

  • i totally agree , its not the only song he wrote for elvis either theres a few , hes a gifted man with many talents , and a legend , in my eyes bigger than elvis

    ,

  • awesome

  • Truly beautiful song - what a great songwriter.

  • Super!!!

  • EZ A LEGJOBB SZÁMA, S NEM ADJÁK MÁR SOHA VÉGIG!!!

  • I just saw him tonight with Merle Haggard, and poor Kris just didn't have it voice wise. I hope it was just an off night for him. At the end of the song, he sang, "help me make it through tonight" so I think he knew things weren't good. One problem seemed to be that his microphone was turned down, and that didn't help things. His voice was louder and a bit stronger later in the show.

  • I'm going to see him and Merle Haggard play on Sunday!

  • NAGYON SAJNÁLOM, HOGY NEMTUDOM VÉGIGHALLGATNI EZT A CSODÁLATOS SZÁMOT!!!

  • I just love this song....

  • The first time I heard this song was Ray Stevens' cover/parody. Heh.

  • He Is Amazing....SO SEXY in the Movie, A Star Is Born....YUMMMMMMM:)

    Love him Still.

  • This is one of my favorite songs of Kris and I think it's one of the best ones ever recorded. Kris you're the best! Your songwriting is to Country Music what Bob Dylan's is to folk. Love you, Kris!

Lord tonight I need a friend....

  • @ajdevise1 tomorrow can be for the devil for all I care . Because I need the Lord tonight. I need a friend. (don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow can take care of itself ) Also Matthew 6: 34 ..

    best greetings

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one word....SEXY !!!!

  • it's also in the story of wendall baker, but performed by luke wilson (Actor)

  • I like Willie Nelson's version bit better, usually, but I guess depending on my mood I could prefer this 1 occasionally, as this is cool too. I mean, they are booth good versions. BTW, I could swear I heard THIS song/particular version in a movie with Kris. Anybody know? Damn it. Now it will bother me until I remember. I LOVE his movies BTW. I always thought he was just about damn near the most underrated actor in film. (Denis Quaid too, underrated)

  • @gjc82071 Fat City (1972) is an American boxing drama film directed by John Huston. The picture stars Stacy Keach, Jeff Bridges, and Susan Tyrrell.

THAT was the movie this song is in.

  • a tribute, maybe an anthem to temporary wivves everywhere, gotta love the road whores

  • iris.aigner@gmx.at

  • What a Sexy man!!! Oooooo Weeeeeeee.....even now he is still sexy!!!!

  • What a Sexy man!!! Oooooo Weeeeeeee.....

  • My lovely wife and I got to see Kris once, I have a photo of Toni and him that did not turn out the best but it is what we got. Kris wrote so many great songs. This is one of my favorites but not this version. I know there is one out there that he slowed down and really put some feeling in it. Of course I cannot find it.

  • go on kris boi

  • @IrelandRobbie irelandrobbie ya fuckin itinerant

  • @sydbarret1973 piss off handicap....im not interested in your opinion

  • love this song......great job Kris.

  • What a beautiful song.....I love it.....Thank you love. :DD

  • Sheer bloody poetry! Kris rocksssssssssssssssss! Kerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrang!

  • @bbqeatinbuckeye One of the greatest to ever pick up a pen !

  • This song is used to perfection on the soundtrack for John Huston's masterpiece "Fat City". Kristofferson isn't in the movie, but his lyrics definitely resonate for Stacey Keach and Jeff Bridges' remorseful characters.

  • very very true !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and his magical voice - ohhhhhhhhhhh

  • great

  • there's a reggae version by John Holt ...quite different.

  • the words i remember most of my dad singing this song is i dont care if your right or wrong because when he sang the chorus what a greattttttttttttt voice o forgot to sway its the kingggggg here o yes

  • Sorry. I thought that was was the essence of my e-mail about men. I totally agree with you. I too would join the service to not associate with these wimps. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding

  • always loved kris hes fantastic singer.......;)

  • last autum Kristofferson had a consert in Helsinki (Finland), and it was my first time to hear a real country music legend play live! As a big fan of the Highwaymen and country music it was a experience I'll newer forget! This is one of the best country songs ever made!

  • kris does a great job with this song. or any song lol. i love to hear him and rita coolidge sing together

  • great artist/songwriter.i read he was an army ranger when he was young.anybody heard this?

  • you are right he was in the U.S ARMY from 1960-1965 were he made captain became a helicoper pilot and competed ranger school.

  • you misspelled "through"..

  • the original? cant believe this no this song well more familiar to me as an old reggie tune, searched for this song and one of my favourite singer songwriters appears!

  • did lynn anderson ever sing this its a great tune but i mix things up,u tube doesnt help:) you wanna spagetti you get cheese lol ,its a brill cover great song.5 from the db5

  • lynn anderson didn't cover it as far as I know. Sammi Smith, who sounds remarkably close to LA had the biggest hit of all of many versions recorded of this song and she as close to LA as you can get. Tammy Wynette also did a cover that was pretty close vocally to Sammi's.

  • I heard this song for the first time 30 years ago,I still love it.Kriss is still hot, thank´s for posting.

  • one of the hottest men and he doesn´t get less attractive the older he gets, nice.

  • por fin, atopeina!cantos recordos con esta fermosa canción!

  • the sexiest man alive then and now, they don't make them like they used to :)))))

  • AMEN!!!!!!! You know it!

  • Oh Yes, and I'm glad that You feel the same.

  • yes i agree with what you say, and i think they are not made as masculine as they used to be. I love this guy, he will always be my John Norman Howard.

  • Little late on the response but I had to. I don't know how to phrase this:

because your observation does have merit. I have seen where the ladies in the twenties age bracket seem to have given up on to day's men [???] These gals are now chasing men in their seventies no less. Guess all the those who meet the standard of how a he-man is defined are gallantlly serving their country in far away places. iservice. I hope that truly is the case. observstio

  • you are man right? well sorry if my comment ofended you but unfortunately i have to agree with my opinion, it's not that in theses times don't exist masculinity..but it is true, well at least in my opinion that there was an era where another kind of men were born, in difference with nowdays!! that's all!!

  • I responded to your return but I forgot to hit the reply button before the comment. It is up there if you care to follow up

  • hmmm...grass!
