  • American Psycho. i just watched it tonight lol.

  • What about The Great Escape!? :o

  • @SaboteurSv Great movie by all means, but not an all time fav of mine.

  • Am in complete agree-ness with your first 2! Forrest Gump and Shawshank Redemption are top spots on my list too!!

  • @Harriet1984 Thanks pal.

  • Did you say 'Dumbinator'?

  • @MichaelChapman18 if I did I didn't mean to haha. I shot this video late at night off the top of my head and started to space out.

  • @theFLICKpick haha it's cool bro. you make up for it in all the other funny impressions.

  • great video. so many people do the generic stuff. good to see someone whos not to scared of being judged to do this!

  • Please do more Nicolas Cage accents! :P

  • Forrest Gump is a good choice. I'm more confused about Fast Times and Home Alone. There fun movies, but no where near the top. But hell, we all have our opinions.

  • thanks for the nightmares I'm gonna have after seeing that American Psycho Christian Bale pic. Other than that, good list. I agree with you on how Hook is completely underrated.

  • your list is awesome! my favourite movie of all time is the lord of the rings trilogy.....after that i cant tell

  • My favorite movie is the dark knight and second is the social network and 3 is inception

  • That Prince scene in Batman really was weird.

  • @BenGriffithsReviews Yeah it was odd as hell, I need a good laugh I might go back and watch that.

  • wow, my favourite movie is forrest gump and my second favourite movie is shawshank!!

  • I AGREE COMPETELY WITH #1 AND #2!! I JUST LOVE THOSE MOVIES

  • Here is My 20 Favorite Movies

  • Great picks, u got some good taste there. All those are movies u can watch over and over and over till infinity!.. and beyond

  • about time someone picked Point Break

    but why no Die Hard?

  • What's fuckin wrong with '' Once upon a time in the West '' ? its Leone's masterpiece. The opening15 minutes alone is genius!. I appreciate '' Once upon a time in America '' but find the it slightly distasteful and the characters unlikeable . The oldest film in your top 20 is from 1979 what's up with that?

  • @dogshy61 Just picked movies I can honestly watch any day and any time, I explain all of that in the intro of the video.

  • What about a clockwork orange

  • 20; Mad Max 2 19; L.A Confidential 18; Naturel born Killers 17; Good Bad and the Ugly 16; Duck Soup 15; Man bites Dog 14; 13; Evil Dead 2 12; Seven Chances 11; King Kong [ 1933 ] 10; Pans Labyrinth 9; Clockwork Orange 8; Audition 7; The age of innocence 6; Run Lola Run 5; 4; Funny Games 3; Once apon a time in the West 2; In the mood for love 1; Lawrence of Arabia.

  • @dogshy61 haha now thats a comment. A lot of good movies there. I still need to see Audition, love Old Boy though. Once upon a time in the west hmm, ever see once upon a time in America?

  • @dogshy61 wheres the shawshank redemption ??

  • ok list but batman begings has to be the most overated movie in the last ten years

  • @paudiemaguire1 I can see your point, but Im a Batman Fan boy... so thats why I included it. Plus Ive seen it 30 times and I cant help myself.

  • @theFLICKpick fair enough, i myself am a big fan of the batman series, also whats wrong with jack nicholson's batman? infact i stil think the 1st batman is the best

  • I'd just like to say that even though there are a few films on this list I don't like, I'm so glad you put them there. Why? Because I'm sick of asshole who think every film in a top 20 list have to be legendary. I mean, yeah, I like films like The Godfather, Taxi Driver and Scarface. They're all amazing. But you know what? I also like Superbad. And I like Catch me if you can. And I like Pirates of the Caribbean. And I like Inception. And everything like that. I love popcorn movies. Great list

  • @thecarreyman2323 Thanks man, glad you get it.. I know there are a ton of better and well acted films out there, but its not what you like its what you love... Im not sure where Im going with this but, thanks for the comment and glad you understand what a personal top 20 should be.

  • This dude NEEDS to take a film class where the profs make you watch silent films and "classic hollywood" films from the 1930s thru 1950s. Then this dude might understand why his list is so light and weak.

  • @lukebccb Calm down you film elitist, oh you took a film class? So how many of those silent films are on your top 20? Do you go back and watch them over and over? Because as much as I respect films like Citizen Kane and Gone with the Wind there not my favorite movies to sit back and relax to. By the way why don’t you pull out your camera and record your top 20 movies of all time, I’m sure it will be amazing since you took a film class. When your video is up and running send me a link pal.

  • @theFLICKpick: yes as a matter of fact I'm one of those elitists snobs that studied and WORKED IN theater and film...

And I KINDA take back JUST silent film to add 1930s films such as "The Blue Angel" and "M" and and "Trouble In Paradise" and "Le Grande Illusion"..... AND according to us film *elitists" "Passion of Joan of Arc" is amongsts the pinnacles of silent art that ANY one appreciative of cinema MUST see before their death....

  • @lukebccb lukebccb - these are his fucking fave films, get a life, get a grip or go and jump off a cliff..........

  • @lukebccb fuck you pussy, he picks the movies he likes. sorry hes not a homo who thinks he has to pick silent films just so his professor will suck his cock. Eat shit and die you mother fucking bastard

  • @fenderbooy13: can someone interpret this BOYS message for the rest of US as WE don't speak "intellectual development of a 12 year-old......

  • @lukebccb I took several film classes. I've seen the "classics" such as Citizen Kane, Psycho, Casa Blanca, etc. etc. multiple times and they're great films and need to be respected, however, I don't fall for the BS where all the artsy fartsy film fanatics say that everyone should bow to them and call every other work of contemporary film trash in comparison. It's bullshit, instead of jacking of to B&W films, try to have some respect other peoples' opinions

  • Ah Stand By Me, I cry like a bitch every time

  • american psycho

    gladiator

the warriors wtf do yu watch?

  • american psycho

    gladiator

the warriors wtf do yu watch?

  • my two favourite films are pulp fiction and harold and kumar :) kinda a weird yet combination there lol

  • i totally feel ya when you say that no matter when there on tv you have to watch shawshank redemption and forrest gump

  • intro cracked me up.

  • Gladiator number 19....dafuq???? Gladiator and Batman are my favourite movies :D

  • dazed and confused and.stand by me..my favourite movies everr<3

  • @MsJane1997 Thanks, ya how can people not like either. Both stand the test of time.

  • Comment removed

  • @necrodanteII Ive seen all of them, several times. But I grew up with Home Alone it makes me feel safe and all warm inside when watching it haha. So thats why I picked it over those movies. PS I would I pick Toy Story over Kung Fu Panda any day. Thanks for the comment pal.

  • Man Those movies brought back good memories of growing up during the 90's.... About 3/4 of your list would be on my top 20.... Much love for alot of these films, And ones that most people wouldnt even put on their top 100..... Now I feel like watching V for Vendetta.... I'm just a sucker for a good anti-hero. Great channel man, We have alot of the same tastes in movies

  • OMG!! I can't beleive your number 1 is Forest Gump, The whole time I was watching the vid I was hope you would at least get it in the top 20.... Cause it's in my top 5 for sure...... I think my top 5 would have 3 tom hanks films and 4 Steven Spielberg films. I remember Forest Gump being my favorite movie when I was growing up, I was on only 4 when it came out, but like most good movies before my time I waited a couple years till they were on VHS.... And at 7 yearrs GUMP was my favorite movie...

  • Fake planes outtrou

  • im sick of people bashing Jack Nicholson's joker. I do prefer Heath Ledger for his demented and twisted personality he was just so originally unpleasant and tasteless that I couldn't help but appreciate his performance and be entertained but Jack did a good job. Jack's joker is both a wacky maniac and a hilarious goofball. It's like comparing Jack to Cesar Romero from the 60s show. Cesar was just a silly, funny nut. So all 3 jokers should be looked at as completely different things.

  • Noticed that these are all american / hollywood movies.. Some good choices, but don't you ever feel like expanding your cinematic horizons and checking out some of the excellent foreign movies out there?

  • @Beatwolf this is just 20 movies, I do like a lot of foreign films.

  • i d re-watch ab 6 of em on yr list .hate" ya for prefering new batman:(

  • its not gel- its semen

  • Damn! Great list! A lotta very great movies!

Thumbs up for this cool video!

"Life is like a box of chocolates .... You never know what you get!"

  • Although I do disagree with Lord of War as it was one of the worst movies Ive ever seen. lol

  • @80sM0VI3FR3AK haha well thats fine, somthing about Nic Cage makes it fun for me.

  • @theFLICKpick I will agree that the man has been in a little of everything, hes got a film for everyone's taste. hahh

  • Omgggg Point Break, YES. That, and Stand By Me would be on my Top 20 easily, with The Warriors and Gladiator almost making the list as well. Great vid.

  • "Bullets, Guns, Grenades, HOORAY"

  • the hook is a horrid movie

  • yes! you nailed it with joker, can't believe there is still a debate about who the better joker is. Heath Ledger FTW.

  • That Buffalo Bill impression was too convincing.

  • Please stop with the DeFranco crazy cuts!!!! I don't mind if the video is over an hour. I cannot stand the loco cuts. It is nauseating :(

  • @October13th2009 I usually do make most women sick, but the crazy cuts are needed. Not always for times sake but to edit out language and crudness.

  • @theFLICKpick did u like Pulp Fiction?

  • @armedfunkykong he said in many videos that he loved it and it's his favorite tarantino movie

  • Hey man why no Pulp Fiction

  • Have you read the silence of the lambs book if not you should read it it's better than the movie and buffalo bill had more back story and scenes in the book

  • I was wondering, since Silence of the Lambs is in your top 10: What do you think of the series? I just saw Silence, and I loved it, classic. Then bought Red Dragon, and liked it, but no where near as memorable. Is Hannibal and Rising worth watching?

  • @goodfellas1001 Red Dragon was OK, I did like Hannibal and the new villain who is played by Gary Oldman and it was great. Hannibal Rising is terrible, It was just so bad. Me and my pal who are hannibal lector fans boys went to the theater to watch it and ended up laughing at it the entire time. "Do you see", best line from red dragon.

  • @theFLICKpick Ok, Oldman plays great villains, so I'm excited for that. And I'm gonna stay far away from Rising. I don't want it to ruin my opinion of Hannibal Lector. I'll just consider it a trilogy. appreciate it.

  • great video, great list. Stand By Me and American Psycho would probably be in my top 20 too.

  • @cutedix u should make a top 20 vid pal, i always like to know others peoples taste. Seems like u can define a person by their top 20 movie picks.

  • I just watched American Pyscho last night! Some great lines in that movie. Bateman had some amazing retorts.

"What about the past, our past?"

    "We never really shared one."

"You're just not terribly important to me."

  • Seems like you worked quite a bit on this! Great job bud

  • Bahah, your Nick Cage impression is easily your best.

  • well, i never watched forest gump ....

  • great list, haven't seen a lot of them though!

Believe it or not, I have yet to see Forrest gump!

  • @fitzykid1990 Man check it out when you get a chance.

  • Nice top 20 man! Dazed and Confused is in my top as well. "That's what I like about these high school girls, I keep getting older, they stay the same age."

  • @themovieguy0 I live my life by that line.

  • Forest Gump -_-

  • you have a psycho eyebrow !...

  • lol the mountain dew blended in with the green screen

  • at 17:00min into this I finally realized that the background is popcorn, not roses. lol

  • beta has a better picture quality than vhs because it is a wider tape, and has more bandwidth, in only lost out because sony (who made beta) could not get enough movie studios signed up. the same reason why blu-ray beat out hd-dvd

  • @TheDVDGamer hmmm I remember ours always looked really crappy. But I do remember hearing betamax was better at first and then vhs stole things about it, to improve vhs. Also did you know beta wouldnt allow porno to be relased with their tech and vhs would.... maybe thats the reason vhs won the battle haha.

  • what the hell..7 dislikes...maybe they know Michael J Fox?

  • haha awesome way to start my weekend...great list. I thought alien would've been on the list, or seven, pulp fiction, exorcist, fight club etc.

  • Love how he pretends he's a badass.... When he's clearly not.

  • @kooolman11 I know right

  • this video made my day... its been a slow weekend.

  • @TheNumber2Pencil546 Glad to hear man, thanks.

  • @theFLICKpick i favorited this video as well. i like how you didn't list the typical god father, scareface type movies like other ppl would. Stand By Me is my #1 favorite movie and im glad it made your top 5 as well! good video and funny like always

  • Right on Forrest Gump!

  • "Forget about the fairy boat scene" What a strange comment, that was one of the highlight of the Dark Knight.

  • @goodfellas1001 really hmm I thought it killed the pace of the movie, but it did serve a purpose I suppose. Well can we both agree they rushed 2-face?

  • @theFLICKpick I liked that scene cuz it made you think, would I kill 100 people just to save myself. And in the real world most of us are selfish and would. but yea 2face shouldn't have died and been a bigger role in Rises.

  • Great video man! That Lindsay Lohan line had me laughing. Awesome editing too.

  • You spoil Forrest Gump :( FUCK YOU! JK! It's my fault for not seeing it sooner.

  • John, that was an incredible top 20. Really good movies and the segments you did....priceless. I can't imagine how much time you put into this. I look at this and it puts my videos to shame. Just fantastic. Fun fact: I never sit through a long vid, but I sat through yours

  • @aktive07 Thanks pal.

  • enjoyed the video, my list would have been differnt but you listed some great films

  • @riczom I would hope everyone has a different list. Thanks for watching man.

  • Fuck yeah stand by me! excellent book as well

  • Nice list man! I hate to be a dickhead by correcting you but the Wachowski's didn't do V for vendetta haha it was james mcteigue

  • @I3enchman I never said directed and they did the screen play by the way.

  • you can go the UFC next best thing

  • Great video man!!! Such good choices! I have to return some video tapes! Classic

  • I loved this video! You are hilarious, haha. I loved the life jacket=red vest and your t-shirt is awesome!

  • Very nice picks man, i actually like the movie Batman Begins a little better than Dark Knight, I love Heath Ledger's Joker but I really l like Jack Nicholson's Joker better, I know that is a whole other topic that has been talked about many times. I'm just glad you really pick what you like and you don't have the prototypical picks that people want you to have as top movies. They would really think my picks are jacked, but who cares.

  • @acooper37 Ya know I like both Nolan batman's for very different reasons. To be honest I almost just picked Begins, because its the better movie but the TDK is the better batman movie, if that makes any sense haha.

  • DICK flick...

    Once again obsessed with COCK!

I don't believe in hand jobs... fucking a fist is a bit anti-climatic for me.

    Michael from...

  • @REDchairDIARIES You could always make love to a construction cone...

  • @theFLICKpick

    LMFAO... I do like orange.

    Michael from...

  • Stand By Me...what a fantastic movie. Read this one and Shawshank years before by the movies came out. Shawshank was so good, I forgot Andy was gonna break out of prison!

I'm with you on Forrest Gump. One of a kind, that one. Saw it in the theater a week before it came out, and was totally devastated.

Awesome video, I love your enthusiasm as always. We share three movies on our Top 20s...so I'd say ya got good taste, my friend!

  • @CineRam Thanks pal, yeah in the book Shawshank, Red was a white irish guy haha.

  • Nice move on #9. I prefer Part 1, but I sure as hell can't blame you for putting them both here. "Would you like to know which of them were cowards?"

Silence is terrific, great movie. "Oh how quickly the boys found you, didn't they?"

Nice t-shirt, by the way...long live VHS!

Saw T2 seven times in the theater. I never wanted to see the day when I'd have to watch the big chase on a regular TV (before 50-inch flatscreens).

  • Glad to see you're doing this as well...I FREAKED when David Patrick Kelly started doing that...I was like WHAT THE HELL?!?!?

Gladiator COMPLETELY RULES. Oh shit, Superbad RULES EVEN MORE!

V4V is one of the best comic book adaptations around. Loved Hook and Smee. Catch Me had a believable role for Leo, not a cop or gangster.

Does Nic say the peach line in LOW? I thought that was Face/Off.

Dazed is awesome, I want to LIVE IN THAT MOVIE!

You gotta know how much I love Back to the Future!

  • @CineRam Yes your correct about the Nic Cage line, but its such a good line I had to use it.

  • these dislikes r probly about the michael j fox "joke:

  • @8Mile546

That was a good joke. It's like ignoring Durante's nose.

    Michael from..

  • @8Mile546 ya know, I think you have a point. But I'm a jerk and say the first thing that comes to mind.

  • @theFLICKpick yea ik i personally thought it wasnt offensive, but sum ppl take shit offensively

  • now since forest and shawshank were both contenders at the 1995 academy awards... was forest gump deserving of best picture or was shawshank robbed? i personally believe in the latter lol... both were were great films but shawshank was a a near perfect film!

  • @msfili I know its such a hard decision to pick which one, but Forrest Gump gives me just that little extra bit of emotion.

  • I haven't seen the Warriors yet, do you recommend the orignal version or the directors cut?

  • @maxonfire67 directors cut

  • @maxonfire67 Directors Cut!

  • I liked every movie you picked. I seen every one of those countless times. Great list!

  • Okay, this has to be one of the best top 20 movies lists I have ever seen. I can purely tell that you have genuine affection for all of these films and you don't just have a film on your list because it won awards or is considered a classic. You're a good man John.

  • @TomVeliotis Thanks Tom glad you could see my love for all the flicks. I just hate when people all pick the same damn movies and there movies they probably watched 1 time.

  • very cool list my man you are a funy funny dude

  • did u hear transformers 3 movie date has changed its now jun 29,2011 i cant wait waht about u

  • @joseph10704 Man that's good news.

  • Good list, but Braveheart should of been somewhere on it.

  • @ChillPilgrim1138 I like it, but I think Gladiator took its spot.

  • Excellent picks mate! great vid as always loved the acting lol Agree with every word about forest gump just an amazing film mate! Top stuff POKER POKER POKER!!!

  • V FOR VENDETTA <3

  • ahem... please do not refer to those dickwads who created the Matrix as the directors for V for Vendetta, as it was directed by James McTeigue.

  • @stunnah26 I just said "did" not directed they produced and wrote the screen play. And I agree they are dickwads.

  • Best Top 20 ever !! Epic video, amazing editing, pure fun from beginning to end. great job !!

  • Great picks! I also really like Hook and how it's a fresh take on the Peter Pan story.

  • Good picks Sir! And very entertaining video! Plus Lord of War is a very underrated movie in my opinion I'm glad you have it on your list!

  • "I was up in the Basement" ha favorite line so far. Awesome movies sir very well done. I dont think there was a movie out of place I have seen.

  • Great Top 20 List John! Gladiator is fkn fantastic! lol to count her freckles..uuu john dancing..i love superbad, ive seen it so many times i almost know all the lines lol.American Psycho is great..im not a huge of Hook..Catch me if you can is good..i hate Nicolas cage so i havent seen Lord of War nor the Rock..Dazed and Confused is fantastic, u wanna spank kids lol..Everyone loves back to the future..i didnt like batman begins.Fast times in ridgemont high is awesome..great vid! ran out of space

  • @spr12cr Please watch Lord of War ha-ha. Thanks.

  • Your Nic Cage-impression is actually quite good haha

  • @ItsMichaelAngelo1 your just being nice lol.

  • We need more Flickpick! We love the Flickster!!!

  • Hello Jenaaay! LOL

  • Great list, American Psycho is amazing, loved the little Warriors bit at the start as well, made me chuckle.

  • sweet video! but forrest and jenny had sex before she got aids

  • Yeah! Point Break is awesome! Nice list pal.

  • Hook is the best film ever :)

  • Favorited! This is probably my favorite video of your's yet John.

  • Kind of gay how you spoiled some of these movies..

with that said.. BEST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE I LOVE YOU FLiCKY. Wish you saw some non-mainstream movies too.. you're missing a lot. You should do a thing where people recommend you films you haven't seen then you watch them then you do a video giving shutouts or not based on what you thought of it. I know some movies I can tell you about would completely erase half of this list lol

  • @ZombieZifiction Oh come on I kinda told the end to 3 movies and there all 15 years old, plus I had to explain why I liked them so much. What ending did I spoil for you? What non-mainstream movies do you like? I like odd ball movies, but none fit my top 20. So what are you top 20, make a vid man.

  • @theFLICKpick you spoiled the ones ive seen, but just FYI a ton of people haven't seen some of those.

Make a video.. hmm it's not my thing but can I make one for you to upload? It'll be windows movie maker quality though.. but since we're best friends.. :D

  • That was fucking GREAT!!!!! real nice picks =D

  • I Love Hook, Underrated.

    Great list man, nice impressions.

    All the best

    -Matt
