1.The govermnent wiretapped American Citizens without a warrant; 2. Detained American Citizens without charge or trial; 3. Illegally cancelled the right of habeus corpus and acess to counsel; 4. tortured American citizens...I could go on.
However, I do agree with you that hate crime laws are unconstituional
You know what, I'm starting to think I don't want my freedoms anymore. I'll endorse the Republicans, or maybe the Democrats. They both want to leave the entire Southern border open to any immigrant who so chooses to pass through, while they worry about the "domestic terrorists".
I have no preference as to the skin tone, gender, cultural background, or religion of our nation's president, as long as they are fighting to uphold the constitution, then I support them. R. Paul '08 J. Ventura '12
You are the moron. Individual rights are being whittled away, little by little, and when the public at large wakes up to this treachery, it'll be a big surprise for them.
"Has not taken away any freedoms?" How about the idea that if you detain someone without charging them with a crime, they're guilty until proven innocent, instead of the other way around?
I see Bush testing the waters here; stomping out rights here and there, and receiving little retribution. Someday, someone is going to follow up on these actions by Bush and others(well intended or not)and seize all power away from the people.
At 1:50, is that a man wearing flip flops in the US Sante?! WTF is wrong with you people?!

Or maybe he got the anthrax because he cares about those freedoms that the neo-cons hate so much.

it's sad that our government is denying our freedom more than the terrorist.

God bless Leahy. No wonder he got an anthrax letter -- he cares about those freedoms the terrorists hate so much.
