  • Hi John - I just found this video - what a superb loco! I am really glad it sounds good too!

    Cheers

    Chris

  • Thx Chris. Not so superb now though, needs a paint job after battery acid accident in tender.

Thx for developing the Chuffer, now fitted to my RH Baldwin and Linda plus my scratch built Argylle. Must do a vid of that this year.

  • Hello John, I like the chuffers and the I.O.M. coaches. Caledonia had more of a oil & water catcher in the chimney I was getting a little bit of a chuff on my later loco's but not as good as these. Keep on chuffing. Regards John Turner.

  • Thx John. Can't do Caledonia cos of exhaust regulator, which I want to keep.

  • interesting chuff! One can really hear when the loco is working with the R/C.

  • That sounds really good, slightly different to the others. I wonder if its the spark arrestor?

  • Probably. When I rebuilt the smokebox to take the chuffer, extended the bigger diameter chimney into the smokebox, but not into the spark arrestor.

Think that was a mistake as the chuffer is in the arrestor so chimney not long enough.

    At least it chuffs:)
