exactly....Most Taiwanese entertainment companies just want to make money fast so they dont trained the "artists" as much as the Koreans do...probably not even half the time they spent on training...so all you see of Taiwanese stars are just people with nice looking face but don't have much talent....sometimes not even that good-looking to start with so people are like "why the heck is he famous?"

Hmm.. I never thought about it like that about the TW ent. because I haven't been so immersed in it as I have with the Krn. ent. The Krn. ent. wants profit, too, and a LOT of marketing strategies have to be conducted, such as repackaging albums with extra songs to attract fans, but I agree with you. There doesn't seem to be such a great emphasis on training in TW as in Korea. However, I respect that TW also has a lot of their own rising stars: Jay Chou, Wang Lee Hom..and lots of other talents.

Entertainment is still buisness so definately the main purpose of training the artists is to make profits. But the difference bewteen Taiwanese and Korean is that Taiwanese companies wants profit fast but they only make small profits...whereas Korean ent. is actually government planned and sponcered to make profit around the world. Korea has been ignored for a long time and their strategy to use the entertainment industry to gain attention is definately working.
