@lookatme199 You need to be 18 to play or 16 with a parent (not sibling, parent). This bootcamp is run twice a year. New players don't need to do it to play airsoft, but they do need to take part in order to play in any of the bigger 70-100 person games.
To take part in this event is a $30 field fee and we teach basics of playing airsoft, basic radio calls, trigger control and safety along with how to read a map since the big games rely heavily on map-work.
You also have different laws and legal obligations at fields. Our field insurance covers people who are adults, not children under the eyes of the law.
@bc2man It is childish, and it's fun, and it's a game. It's for those of us who enjoy the thrill of action but don't want to bother running the risk of joining a war started by our neighbors to the South who aren't bright enough to keep their noses out of other countries business.
We play MilSim style airsoft which is different from your paintball-style. Our games last up to 48 hours long and since it's a 'Sim' (I'll let you figure out what that means), we play as members of the military's that we are representing, hence some training.
Plus, one pre-requisite to play is knowing how to spell, so it looks like you wouldn't be able to have any games with us.
Yea that's true, but if you look at their location, those who don't know are from the USA. Sorta like asking "Where's this town of Huttig I've heard the name of?"
ok no offense guys but instead of shooting you recruits try cardio training them or at least give them roles like sub machine gunner sniper scout sniper. but does look like a good team nice guns but more training would help.
Thanks for the advice. No offense taken. What you seem to fail to realize is that airsoft is only a game and nothing more. While some of the guys we play with are indeed overweight, we don't hold that against them, nor do we force them to lose weight. Plus, if we were to give the heavier gentlemen stationary roles, then that would negate one of the reasons to get out and play airsoft, which is to have at least some exercise.
were can i participate in a camp like this? i live in minnesota
