  • Knowing this song before 500 days of summer ----

  • Beautiful voice....

  • btw... i just the movie... i´m cheesy like that

  • no one's got it all.... but everyone's got something ;)

  • The 1st Regina Spektor song I ever heard was Fidelity. And I liked it. Then I heard her songs in (500) days of summer and My Sisters Keeper and now I love her!!!

  • Penis !!!!!!!!

  • @nsdrdodo PENIS! :D

  • 500 days of summer FTW

  • gpd this made me cry just with a seconds D: it just remind me that scene of 500 DOS T_T

  • she looks just like mel from flight of the chonchords!! also, amazing scene in 500 DOS love that film

  • this gal can really sing. really she makes these other singer sound like nails on a chalk board.

  • But she is cute :3

  • Comment removed

  • She looks so cute.

  • I don't mind that people found her in a movie or something. she's special to anyone who feels she is special to them :)

But I'll still feel like I own her and know all her secrets >:)

  • @Lilyfloss Nooo i own her!!!!

  • @Hannahmt19 yes you do :D

  • I haven't even watched 500 days of summer or whatever.... I just love regina spektor :) and how, over the years, y tastes in music have changed slightly but because she has so many great songs that are vastly different i will always love her... no matter what mood im in :D

  • this song is like seven years old... and still no instrumental? if anyone knows where i could find it i'd be much obliged

  • I first heard her stuff when I watched Prince Caspian. I remember when I saw (500) Days of Summer, I was sitting there thinking "I know who this is!"

  • Couldn't the sentence "no one's got it all" mean: no one has understood at all?

  • unbelieveable song, unbelieveable voice! so pretty :-)

  • This song made that scene special with a certain mood, unlike any other song. Even for a guy, I could feel inside of me dying. But I love this song and the amazing movie :)

  • pancakes!

  • i'm searching for my summer.....autumn.Love Res...Pektor

  • one day I won't have to read about 500 days of summer on every Regina Spektor video.

  • I remember going to this video to comfort myself from crying. "No one's got it all." Not everything you love to have, you long to keep will be yours forever. They, too, have their own lives - their own choices to walk to their own paths. Then you're left there - the person who gave everything she owns and everything she is just to take care of him and love him but still he left.

But you're a hero, don't need to be saved :) so smile because he's happy now.

Oh god, here comes the pain again.

  • @claudialovesearth wanna talk about it?

  • God dammit! No one cares you found out about Regina Spektor from some random movie....

  • I liked the part in the movie when they played this song the whole Reality vs. Expectations split-screen was done well.

  • @probowler09 I loved it!

  • Everyone has to get discovered somehow...some bands i've been with since their beginning and other bands and artists i discovered thru random things, movies, commercials, gigs...Everyone discovers bands differently, it doesn't make anyone less of a fan just because they found their music through some random media source...If your a fan, your a fan...no matter when you discover the artist....and boom goes the dynamite...

  • I found her from Weeds. She's good at singing stuff.

  • Hipsters... just, please shut up and enjoy the music

  • One great song from one great movie . :)

  • :( I can't sing along, i just said: "And we're trying to be faithful, but they're

    Cheating, cheating, cheating..."

  • i never ever saw it, coming at all :'(

  • i'm the hero of this story : (

  • (500) Days of Summer. Such a close-to-home scene.

  • I hear this and I think of Severus Snape every time. I have always loved Regina from the first time I heard Prisoners. The fact it now moulds with the greatest part of Harry Potter to me... I cry every time.

  • The artist and his/her music is nothing if it is not shared; our ears can't tell the difference between hipster or mainstream, it just appreciates what it hears. Hipster and mainstream are just statuess and badges of honor for those that seek it.

  • A long time ago there used to be a little part where she sang "in the end we all bow are little heads" but she removed it for one reason or another!

  • I listened to music before it was cool.

  • @bently102 HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! I love when people say that. Right on!

  • i really love regina's songs super love love love <3 <3

  • She wouldn't put her music in movies if she didn't want others to hear it. I don't think Regina would like the hipster attitudes.

  • cut the hipster comments, stop spreading your hipster hate by saying that people have bad taste in music. tbh, we're all entitled to our own opinion i don't understand how a beautiful song like this could cause so much hate. it's great if you knew this song before the movie but to be completely honest no one gives a flying monkeys shit. stick that in your pipe and schmoke schmoke shmoke it.

  • @Arcunum i dont care about grammar on youtube and obviously u dont know how to spell hahahaha grammar is with an a not an e LOL but seriously i bet u like friday and baby and all those stupid songs oh wait ofcourse u do cuz u r a big baby only big babys like this song and friday and baby see right there baby is a song 4 babies LOL

  • My birthday! (:

  • @1ypercrush Mine too

  • All those songs people discover from being a movie? Thats good, it gives them publicity. Publicity means more profit for them. More profit for them, provides you with new music from an artist you love. You should be damn happy that 500 Days of Summer used her.

  • So hearing a song before everyone else makes you what...better than everyone else? I've never really understood music snobs!! Anyway this song is great and 500 days of summer is great

  • it just breaks my heart..

  • mmm

  • i just realised why my last 2 girlfriends were singers and had curly hair.oops.

  • seriously 2 many down votes u have got 2 be kidding my WHOLE family HATES it and 4 u rad941205 ur a dickwad

  • @gosaints2011premiers You obviously don't know good music or grammer.

  • A part from the fact that Regina is just awesome :o

And that 500 days of summer is a beautiful movie...

Don't you think she looks so hot in that picture *phuh*

  • If you like this you should look up Anna Gammelgard on soundcloud

  • YES and i guess artist hate exposure too right? they live from earth and grass, fuck money.

  • @gosaints2011premiers and what do you consider good music?

  • @gosaints2011premiers why listen to a song to give it a negative comment? Do you have no life or are you just looking for attention? DICKWAD.

  • Comment removed

  • @gosaints2011premiers Obviously you haven't heard Friday.

  • @sovandedrake U wanna bet and yes i hav heard friday atleast its better than this

  • Roses are red, violets are blue...fuck you whore.

  • @Raider1648 Why can't I "thumbs up" this more than once?

  • @Raider1648 what does your comment refer to..?

  • Comment removed

  • @MyNameWasntAvailabl3 In 500 Days of Summer, in which this song was used, the main character, Tom, wrote greeting cards for a living. Then he met Summer. He was in love. She wasn't. She knew she wouldn't ever love him, so she left. After that, Tom fell into a deep depression and couldn't write cheery cards anymore. His boss soon told him that he could no longer write greeting cards because the only one he wrote in that period said "Roses are red, violets are blue, fuck you, whore."

  • @MadDuckInc151 Aah okee! thanks! sounds like a movie i have to see i guess?

  • @MyNameWasntAvailabl3 500 days of summer

  • @Raider1648 dude i died when i seen this comment. hahahahahaha. that scene was the voice for all people out there whose ever truly been (or in his case 'felt') like he's been f*cked over.

500 Days of Summer was the greatest movie ever. A must have for your movie collection.

  • such a nice voice!!

  • This is honestly the only song I like by her, but I admit, she has quite a beautiful voice.

  • Once I heard this song in 500 Days of Summer, I told myself,,, hey I need to know what song this IS!!

  • @Clarishu The point of telling everyone that is because it's a comment section where everyone voices their opinion. There are 442 other comments like that, why don't you just go bitch at them? No, wait you already have.

  • Regina Spektor was already popular way before 500 days of summer.

  • problem?

  • what do you call her genre? dont have any idea.

  • @ivymae14 if im not wrong i think its called anti folk or somethin like that

  • @ivymae14

    Folk rock i guess

  • @ivymae14 alternative

  • At the point in 500 Days of Summer when they play this song I cry, every time.

  • @katiefdt we are two.

  • What a song !! Kinda makes you sad but then that's the whole power of music, it can be strong enough to make you cry but at times powerful enough to motivate you to the core and bring a dead man to life. Who likes summer :P .. I like regina spektor xD

  • 1000th Like!. I feel special. This is such a personal song to me, and I'm sure, to any heart broken man out there.

  • vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

holy fuck!!! where did that car come from?

  • this song makes me so emotional cause i just picture tom running from summer :'(

  • well many people would like this song before 500 days of Summer if they actually knew about it. so i'm awesome too

  • power to he people... we dont want it we want pleasure.... and the tv`s trying to rape us and i guess that they`re succeding... and we're going to these meetings, but we're not doing any meeting... and we think that we are faithful , but we're cheating, cheating, cheating! <3

  • she repeats herself alot:

    It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright

    It's alright, it's alright, it's al-right

    It's alright, it's alright, it's al-right

    It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

    No one's got it all

    No one's got it all

    No one's got it all

  • Why does it matter when you discovered an artist? If you found her because of 500 Days of Summer that's a GOOD thing... believe it or not exposure is actually good for an artist's career. So stop being such a goddamn hipster about it just because you liked her before she got popular.

  • @chiclet2elmer Amen.

  • @chiclet2elmer well said

  • @chiclet2elmer im offended . cos when you discover regina from a movie that is not a good thing ! youre not her true fans !!!!!!

  • yep , you're right at all, moreover we've known a lot of artist by soundtracks...

  • I DIDN'T like Regina Spektor before (500) Days of Summer, and I wish I did. But now that I do, I love her music and I wish someone had told me about her before. I don't think it matters when you liked a singer, it doesn't mean I (or anyone else) like her any less than someone who knew her before it.

  • I've liked Regina way before watching 500 days of summer but that doesn't really matter.. She's a great singer and it was a good movie

  • Fuck You, Summer!!! You bitch!

  • @illene24 for real!

  • I heard this song from 500 Days of Summer. N wot.

  • I thank 500 days of summer for introducing me to a great song xD

  • "And we're going to these meetings but we're not DOING any MEETING."

Gotta love the way she delivers that line. ^^

  • Comment removed

  • is it okay if i found her BY (500) days of summer but shes one of my favorite singers now?? (:

  • @Carlee2812 yes! don't know why everyone's saying just because they heard it before the film is so special...

  • can we not connect this song with 500 Days of Summer? Can we just appreciate the song as itself? thankyou<3

    fuck

  • Music snobs...always wrong, but damn proud of yourselves!

I know people want to feel "special" by claiming they heard an artist before they became famous...well here is some news for you...I GUARANTEE ALL OF YOU that I like bands that YOU have never heard of...you know why? Because it's impossible for everyone to HEAR ALL MUSIC when it comes out...So I saw a movie and heard this song. WOW, makes it soooo less satisfying for me LOL, ever hear of "A Common Goal" What you haven't??? HA!

  • Comment removed

  • You can tell by her lyrics that she may be a Modest Mouse fan...she seems to invoke Isaac Brock's lyrical style.

  • lol @ all the idiots bragging about how they knew a band before some movie. NOBODY CARES. Grow up...

  • She is such a talent, just enjoy listening to her and if you get a chance go and see her perform, she's even better live AND it will change your life! GBR

  • who gives a crap if you heard a song before watching a film or during it, as long as you personally enjoy the song whats the problem?

enjoying music isn't a game with a winner and a loser.

    its a pleasure.

so I dont really see the point in this particular 'bragging right'

  • Regina Spektor is my ideal girl! Oh, my heart aches for someone who looks/acts like Regina!

  • Dude, I haven't even heard of 500 days of summer. I just was searching for a Regina Spektor song on Youtube that I haven't heard a thousand times already

  • @Platypusmer me too haha

  • @Platypusmer

What was the need in telling everyone else about that? We don't care.

  • I really like this song. Sure, I first heard it in 500 Days of Summer, but does it really matter?

  • @lillyandbelle Of course it matters. Now you won't be invited to the coffee spot on 3rd Avenue (NOT Starbucks). Shame too. This week we'll be talking about Dada and the best places to buy obscure beanies.

  • @CyckOne Oh, what a shame. I'll be missing out.

  • There is something about Regina Spektor's music that calms me, I listen to her whenever I'm stressed or in need of some peace. Her music is absorbing and it seems to make my entire day or situation better! Thank you Regina!

  • These comments reek of hipster.

  • actually started liking regina spektor after prince caspian :P

  • i liked this song after seeing 500 days of summer. It was an amazing movie and im proud that i liked it after :)

  • I really wish I liked this song before 500 days of summer....I feel lame.

  • @paperairplanes18 nah the movie just introduced you to a good singer dont feel bad now u know and u can enjoy it xD

  • kay does it matter if we loved this song after 500 days of summmer? all that matters is that its a beautiful song.

    now, ENJOY THE MUSIC.

  • 13 people have no taste in real good music

  • Thumbs up if its good music however you discovered it...

  • i like listening to this song on a bad day and realizing its not such a bad day=]

  • I LOVE IT AFTER (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) BUT I LOVE IT!

  • is it true that no one's got it all?? why??!! and just when your life is going great, suddenly, out of nowhere it turns quite miserable :(

  • @mich25iz agreed mate :(

  • The first time I heard this song (shortly after discovering her), I remember being floored by the exchange at the end... this was LIVE.

  • great sound quality.

it sounded like a mini regina was inside my speakers. :)

  • land here because of (500) days of summer! BEAUTIFUL!!

  • I just hear this song in the 500 days with summer and I'd love that!

  • i abso love this song. this music is weird and wonderful and i love it. thumbs up if you like carla bruni too xx

  • I was ecstatic when I heard this and Us in (500) Days of Summer. I was quite happy she was featured in such a great movie. It was an amazing movie, and her songs just made it even better.

  • Regina Spektor is one of the greatest works of art who makes some of the greatest works of art <3

  • i watched 500 days like last year.i'm still mesmerized by the film up to now...and the soundtrack.it's took me on a musical journey:))

  • every time i hear this i start crying .

  • @HNUFAR I cry when i hear this song too):

  • I love this song in 500 Days Of Summer... Just fits the movie so perfectly... And I love Regina Spektor, her voice is amazing... :)

  • 500 days of Summer is a bloody good film, however I/many of us knew about Regi' long before said film, she IS LEGEND, doubt this at your peril! GBR

  • Amaizing voice!

  • Who the hell are those 13 people who don't know good music? smh... Or maybe they were just fans of Summer :/

I have loved Regina Spektor for a loooong time :)

  • Wish she would come to Jacksonville, FL. But no one does. Regina and Zooey Deschanel are the two best singers out there right now.

  • but why you guys try 500 days of summer like muse with twilight in case of muse twilight is a very bad movie but 500 days of summer is great a fantastic movie why u guys say that its like bad or something

  • @TheSpiderpkz twilight isn't bad :(

  • @McJulia91 please it is bad =(

  • @TheSpiderpkz no, it's one of my favourite movies, because it's a great romance-story. maybe it hasn't a big story and it isn't a typically vampire-movie with vampires who kill hundreds of people......but it's a great love-story and it's not a film for everyone

  • @TheSpiderpkz hah, thats ur opinion friend, twilight ROX

  • i am an awesome person because i liked this song before seeing 500 days of summer... i deserve a medal..

  • @heister33 Who fucking cares? Why are you any better for having been aware of this song's existence before the masses were introduced to it through (500) Days of Summer? I knew who she was before the film, but had never really given her music a good listen until I was exposed to "Hero" as it's featured in the film. That in turn led to me to check out more of her material. Same goes for Carla Bruni. Just because I'd never heard her music before this film doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan.

  • @heister33 Really? Really! That makes you ultra hip, ultra cool? Just because you discovered a song before most doesn't mean a thing. You share more in common with everyone else who also likes this song more than you realize. We all seem to gravitate towards one another one way or another. You nor i are anything but special in our own little way. We cannot control where we are when we hear, see, or experience something personal until WE decided IT means anything at all.

  • @Oboogie89

Irony much? You realize heister33 was satirizing exactly the attidute you described. Lay it on the other most liked comment if you must.
