  • "Keep you Government hands off my Medicare" yelled the idiot who got into Sen. Arlen Specter's face at a town hall meeting about healthcare. Fox news loves it. They did not COVER that because of course, Medicare is a COMPLETELY Government run program that is popular and has just a 3% cost.

No, Fox News anchor's smiled because their lies helped protect their corporate friends profits. If Fox watchers ever wake up and actually get angry at liars, they will march on Fox News with their guns.

  • Well, we will see Sarah Palin's reaction when her son WITH A PREEXISTING CONDITION is forced to go off of his parent's health care plan (which covered him) and try to go out himself and get his own health care. He most likely either 1) will be denied or 2) be forced to pay extreme amounts of money. I have a pre-existing condition and am seriously worried about my future.I will at least have until I'm 26, but I'm sure that plan will be scratched off as soon as the republicans take office again...

  • PROFIT , PROFIT, PROFIT,,,DENIED,,,

  • i don't like Obama myself much but Sarah Palin sucks balls. i believe you and Sarah need to get laid and maybe that will make u girls feel good about yourself oh yeah baby....

  • ObamaCare is a collection of failed liberal ideas meant to funnel everyone eventually into single-payer, government-run health care, like, well, Britain and Canada who are desperately trying to reform their health care to be more like ours. They are trying to restore the doctor-patient relationship that has long been the basis of our current health care — the best in the world.

  • ObamaCare is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and SUCKS! Repeal and replace

  • #1 ObamaCare is UNCONSTITUTIONAL - it will be dumped.

#2 The United States has been the WORLD LEADER in Healthcare BREAKTHROUGHS, MEDICINE, RESEARCH, INNOVATIONS, INVENTIONS, CARE, ETC.. ALL DUE TO GOOD OL' CAPITALISM!!!

    SOCIALISM SUCKS!

  • LOL - we've already witnessed Socialist Canadian Death Panel as what happened in the case of Baby Joseph.

If the Government takes over Health Care you have NO PLACE to go when they REFUSE you care.

Government can not run the Post Office, Amtrak, the DMV, etc.. you expect them to run Health Care - LOL

England, Canada, Germany, etc.. are trying to SCRAP their Health Care systems that are bankrupting them!

  • Pre-condition clause? In fact, I think car insurance should be like that too. If I wreck my car, don't have enough coverage, I can add the coverage after the accident and I'm covered. Brilliant idea!

See how long insurance co. stay in business with that law. Then the Gov takes over with Socialist Single Payer plan for every American. Then try to sue the Gov when you're denied coverage.

ObamaCare is like heroin - the first taste is free, then when you're hooked it's too late. REPEAL, REPLACE!

  • @BestPoliticalVideos Dumbass, the whole point of the mandatory acquirement of insurance is to protect the insurance companies precisely from a scenario you just railed on. Get you head checked and stop embarrassing yourself on the Internet.

  • Socialist Health Care DOES NOT work!

  • @BestPoliticalVideos What a come back, cupcake. Then go on your roof and shout, "I want to take away your Medicare and Medicaid," see how many supports you would get.

Ya, single payer programs like... France, which is the number one in cost, accessibility and care among all nations... like Israel, the darling of the radical Reich... like Taiwan, South Korea... or, or, OR... Japan who is insuring all its population with almost 3rd of our costs while we can't even cover 1/6th of our population.

  • Ya, those "Socialist" health care programs...

Get the fuck off the Internet bozo.

  • @ninuxy

Then move to France or any of the other countries that you mentioned if they have us beat in health care - (rolling my eyes) ROTFLMAO

SOCIALIST Health Care DOES NOT WORK!

  • @BestPoliticalVideos Wait a minute bozo. Your ilk keeps harping about our system being "Socialistic," then why are you asking me to move? I thought we are living in a Socialistic system? What happened? Ran out of hysteria?

I tell you what. How about I stay here and kick "you" out? What say you?

So far, It seems like the private health care system has done an abysmal job, convincing the citizens of this country of, not only its lack of superiority, but also its accessibility. Epic fail.

  • And I'm sure all the senior citizens who are orderly serviced can tell the rest of us they have "NO PLACE" to go. Running a single payer insurance is different from health "care," but for a reactionary, uneducated fool, they all are interchangeable.

I had no idea Germany was trying to "SCRAP" its health care system, which if I may say, is doing a great job taking care of its participants. And if the avalanche of misinformation you spew wasn't enough, you go make up facts on the ground.

  • Apparently WorstPoliticalVideos doesn't know about the catastrophic record of the health care insurance industry and their mega-power structure to deny coverage all the time, and leaving the patient at the mercy of his own demise.

"Arbitrate"!!! HAHAHA! Let me see how you can handle a trained dog on the other side of the coverage-denial department when your application is denied. Try it then record your conversation see how she'd bark at you like a junk yard dog. So naive, so programmed.

  • ROTFLMAO -

#1 ObamaCare is UNCONSTITUTIONAL - it will be dumped.

#2 The United States has been the WORLD LEADER in Healthcare BREAKTHROUGHS, MEDICINE, RESEARCH, INNOVATIONS, INVENTIONS, CARE, ETC.. ALL DUE TO GOOD OL' CAPITALISM!!!

SOCIALISM SUCKS! Please, start citing Michael Moore as fact and please tell me Cuba's Health Care system blows the door off America's.

Take another hit on your crackpipe and keep bashing the United States and CAPITALISM!

    Go worship a DICKtator.

  • @BestPoliticalVideos Baseless assertions are your own source of false animation, and it shows.

ALL CAPITAL is a sign of excitability. You have illustrated an ample of that on this thread.

Ya, it has been a world leader whose citizens can even afford the medicine it produces, while the same pharma companies are being negotiated by those "Socialist" countries to reduce the Rx, and we end up paying multiple folds for them.

  • Oh, by the way, half the cost of those drug developments are paid by the government through subsidies and academic researches. You are basically somebody's "Marxist" bitch all along and you didn't know it.

And while you are so desperately trying to paint the real solutions as "Socialism," 50 million Americans go uninsured. Yay to those Socialists who take Medicare and Medicaid then drop to their knees when they are told, we are going to take away those "government" programs.

  • There are great websites available that can help people find and apply for state run programs already in existance. Google COVERAGEFORALL and you'll find my favorite. I've suggested this site to many clients of mine who have had lots of success finding and enrolling in free and close to free plans with Pre-Existing conditions.

  • Unfortunate that Obama did delegate that mandated health care TO the private insurance industry. A few good regulations added but still, we can clearly see that corporate power will either find or MAKE loopholes.

  • Thank you for clearing up some questions I had. As with all potentially life changing changes in government, people need to do their own research and formulate their own opinions. Reading some of the "troll" comments I've come to the conclusion that "bar room" or "dinner table" conversations are held as fact by lazy people who won't take the time to do their own research. Keep at it and don't mind the people who try to take you down.

  • Wrong. For the all but 45-50 million insured now, (except maybe Oregon Medicaid) everything is covered. As costs escalate under "ObamaCare," treatment for certain conditions/ages will be excluded as not cost-effective, particularly "end-of-life" care for seniors. People will die who wouldn't currently, hence "death panel." Feel singled out now? You don't suppose ObamaCare can save money by not covering conditions that people don't have, hmm? THIS IS TOO MUCH POWER FOR GOVERNMENT TO HAVE.

  • @platficker I'm fairly certain you meant the 45-50 million UNinsured. Either way, I don't know what insurance you have, or if you've ever had any serious illnesses, but people with private insurance frequently have private insurance refuse to pay for certain procedures or services, regardless of whether their doctor deems it necessary. My private insurer has refused coverage on procedures, treatment and medication in the past. What you're saying is nonsense that has no connection to reality.

  • @platficker

EXACTLY - the argument is always Private Insurance Companies refuse to pay, etc...

At least you can SUE, ARBITRATE, STILL GET CARE with donated money, etc...

When the Government REFUSES to PAY you have NOWHERE else to go. The Government is the END all of END ALL!!!

    TOO MUCH POWER!

  • @platficker Barbara Wagner's received a rejection letter from the universal care system setup in her state run was crushing. The Oregon woman, whose lung cancer had been in remission, learned the disease had returned and would likely kill her. Her last hope was a $4,000-a-month drug that was prescribed for her, but the rationing board, death panel, refused to pay. What the state run Oregon Health Plan did agree to cover were drugs for a physician-assisted death. Those drugs would cost about $50.

  • blubitch55 and yet, strangly, there you are, sitting on your ass posting here on youtube.

  • *GOOD*!! Someone who totally gets it! If YT still had the stars rating, this would be 5 stars! For now, a thumbs up will have to do! :-)

Interesting the right-wing uses the term "Obamacare" to describe the health care bill--like it makes it sound evil or something--just like 15 yrs ago when they called it "HillaryCare". Well look where "BushCare" and "ReaganCare" got us!

  • Insurance companies don't deny treatment for preexisting conditions, they just don't pay for the treatment. You have to pay for the treatment yourself or if you can't pay for it it is free. You have never been denied treatment, no one is denied treatment. Your 100% wrong. Go take a look a Veterans Administration treatment, long delays in getting treatment. Thats what we are gona get now.

  • @todddoom Glad you brought that up. I worked w/ a guy a year ago who ended up w/ kidney stones. He wanted to avoid VA care because of pre-conceived notions he had of it, so he seen his own private doctor. Private doc said he could have them removed--would wait about a week for actual surgery date ( this is in Portland, OR--not a small, rural town ), and pay about $15-18k ( yes, he has no insurance through his employer. So, he went to the VA--took 8 days, and his bill?

    $65 for pain killers.

  • @todddoom If this way of VA care is how what you people refer to as "Obamacare" is gonna work, I say bring it the fuck on!!!

  • , or denied because of a pre-existing condition. I mean really, tell me, where do you muster so much militancy against helping unfortunate human beings, sick people fighting for their lives, ruined families. I'll answer that: either you are dead-stone-insensitive or you just are so much, so much mad, at this president that you would rather see people die uncared for than see him succeed. It's the second, no matter how much bullshit you talk.

  • This is what will bankrupt this on ALL sides missy. NO insurance company can afford to everyone who has a pre-existing condition - NEITHER WILL THE GOVT! That wouldn't be insurance then would it? Funny how you lib's hated the Govt. a year ago, but now you trust them with something so dear to so many people. Such ignorance I would have never though this country was capable of. Think about it. I pay 200/mth for insurance. If I have cancer, how the hell can you say they MUST take me in?

  • Yes, the ones who deny you insurance based on pre-existing conditions are the current private health insurance industry. Current health reform before congress would ELIMINATE this abuse of claiming people have pre-existing conditions and can't get insurance. Thanks for your video

  • medicare denies twice as many ppl than private healthcare.

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • Nice videos, very informative without all the crap that some of these people post here.

  • obamacare is a FORCED MANDATE!

    What is your problem??

    Are you a stupid person...?

Obamacare FORCES people to pay for Health Care in lieu of FOOD or other meaningful life support items..

    The freak's a fool....

I don't need no community organizer telling me what I can afford, & that he needs my dollars to fix your health problems...It just don't work that way in a free society..

Not to mention you are not getting a penny of mine ,fool.....

    Kill the Bill..

    Nobody wants it.....

  • this is what happens when you dont go to school you end jup like this lady sit on your ass and post youtube videos,

  • I have a master's degree, sweetheart, and I don't think trolling YouTube videos and making asinine comments is a sign of intellectual superiority.

  • I believe you just 'pwned' bluebitch55. A grammatically correct response will always trump an incoherent thought with improper grammar, punctuation and spelling.

  • @heartsleeve

Lose the glasses do the hair add a SMALL touch of make up and you would good looking. You are attractive and intelligent.

    IM SUBSCRIBING.

  • May I ask where you learned to 'spoke' English?

I think you should pursue some remedial studies in grammar. If you want anyone to take your opinions seriously online, you must be able to formulate an argument and construct a coherent sentence.

  • @bluebitch55 Lol...as opposed to trolling from a sock account and not contributing to the actual topic/subject and just attacking the person...brilliant.

  • @bluebitch55 I have a master's degree. Maybe I should still be in school for a PhD, but if there IS a problem with the video I posted, I doubt my lack of education is it.

  • They will not take a moment to investigate what "Obamacare" is because these people are irrational. These people are acting out of their prejudices, instilled by millionaire ideologues who in turn respond to the interests of affected industries, Big Insurance, Big Oil, etc. Their fear of big government is hypocritical, they all enjoy Medicare and Social Security. This is all about opposing Obama, and getting even for losing the election to a Black man, particularly. Sore losers.

  • You guys have to get over this notion that we are mad because he is Black - I know 100's of people who do not like Obama. None of them could care less about his color - I would adore a black, hispanic, or white president - It is his VIEWS we think suck. If we use that logic, then we could say you guys didn't like Bush because you didn't want a white manin office. Such stupidity. How in there hell is it racist to disagree with Obama?

  • @solrac3002 Racism is the prime motivator. Health care is an excuse. Why do I think so? Because Obama's views and the policies he has pursued so far are centrist and yet he is treated by you people as if he were a Socialist, as a foreigner indeed, many of you even deny the fact that he is born in the US, a subliminal way of reinforcing his "otherness". His policies are no different to those of other presidents of both parties; Richard Nixon wanted universal health care, for example.

  • @solrac3002 The "Obamacare" you guys love to talk about is fully run by private insurance, hospitals and personnel. Whatever was private remains private, in fact I hate the fact that the "Medicare for all" option was abandoned, and still further: that a single-payer system was rejected, THAT's what the really intelligent solution would be. So why are you guys so much against providing health care to 30 million more Americans who don't have it or to millions who are rejected by the insurers

  • As a citizen of Scotland and now living in NZ, this video has proven to me that there are Americans such as yourself who have some common sense (not so common though)

I really hope that the right-wingers do not shoot down this proposal to finally bring universal healthcare to your country.

    Fingers crossed!

  • Expecting to be insured for pre-existing conditions for the same cost as people who do not is like expecting that the insurance company would give you fire insurance if your house is on fire.

It is disingenuous to abstract the payer as "the government". If you expect the poor-quality government healthcare, you expect it from your neighbors.

I know the UK system well. It further inculcates a culture of dependency. You are treated as a welfare claimant - ask ANY British person if this is true.

  • YOU ARE CORRECT just dont call it obamacare its called healthcare reform

  • Another lesbo running her mouth...Do some research first chicky before running your mouth.

  • I'm going to take the moniker "lesbo" as a compliment because clearly "lesbo" means an intelligent female who threatens your fragile, conservative worldview by telling the truth. My opinions have been thoroughly researched. If you have some actual arguments you'd like to make, as opposed to name-calling, I'd enjoy demonstrating just how well-researched my opinions are.

  • @dRunKnkenSamuRaI HAHAHA, you're another one that got PWND!! :-)

  • Sec 163: Again, incorrect. This is mainly concerned with the accounts between insurance companies and doctors. However, it could apply to me if i wanted it to. For example, if I want to be able to have my payments automatically deducted from my account, I can do that. If I don't want to do that, then I don't have to. However, I would because I already have all of my utilities and bills automatically deducted for my own convenience.

  • Section 152. This is so incorrect it's laughable. The way the opposition is coming up with this position is that the bill hasn't explicitly stated how citizenship will be verified. Considering any hospital already checks for citizenship as it is and still gives treatment, this is a mute point. The only issue is how exactly citizenship will be verified which is so simple it's almost idiotic to obsess on something that will probably be done at a state level anyhow.

  • In emergency situations, it's actually considered illegal to waste time verifying citizenship, because the delay could put a person's life at further risk or cause death. A stipulation I wholly agree with.

  • If the fed, governments wants to help us with health care thats cool.but dont shove a new long winded loophole filled plan in my face and tell me "we're going to do it anyway"to me its just yet another gov, department with the potental for out of control spending.I might not be taxed right now but Im sure in a few yrs everyone will be.and in alot of ways its discrimination of some type against those who have higher incomes, im not a lawer.but how many levels of discrimination are there?

  • We already have death panels. We call them health insurance companies.

  • account for electronic funds transfers

Sec 201 pg 72 lines 8-14 states the government is creating a health care exchange to bring private plans under government control

I can go on and on with more if you would like. But just what i put down here is bad enough already!!

  • Heartsleeve i respect your opinion, and your right to say it. However, i need to know if you read the bill. I have, and it is an evil bill.

Sec 122 pg. 29 lines 4-16 states that health care will be rationed

Sec 123 pg 30 states that there will be a goverment committee that decides what treatments and benefits you get

Sec 152 pg 50-51 states that health care will be provided to ALL non-us citizens

Sec 163 pg 59 lines 21-24 states that the government will have direct access to your bank

  • If you come to the UK and you get an injury, you get treated by the NHS. A much better health system then the american HMOs and they do not care that you are from another country and you don't spend the next decade trying to pay off loans to cover the treatment. All of those things above won't be much different to what goes on anyway apart from it's run by the government and they won't ask you if you have insurance and leave you waiting while they check it or try to invalidate it in someway.

  • That is to Nightdragon quoting sections of the bill.

You already have death panels in essense, if you get treated the insurance companies will check your insurance and take any action they can to invalidate it so you end out with crippling bills. They will try to deny you treatment. Socialised health care doesn't have these flaws... it works better.

    > BoyKagome

If someone was standing on the side of the bridge and wants to jump are you going to let them, push them or try to stop them?

  • Doomsday..If the UK heath system is so great, than explain to me why it is people are being denied care. People that have cancer, and after offering to pay for medication out of pocket, the NHS decides to withdraw service. And why people get sent to 7 different hospitals because there is no room for just a broken arm, or why women to asks for smear tests and are denied because they are too young, and now have cervical cancer and only 11 months to a year to live.

  • nightdragon1120

The simple response to your statement... the simple one is... THEY AREN'T.

I don't know where you get your sources from but none of this is right. Their are some bad hospitals but what your saying is just wrong, it's falsified.

It's more true of the HMO system of people being sent around hospitals because their insurance companies want them created in their own hospitals that can be over an hour journey away and the NHS never withdraws service that is an out and out lie

  • Sorry messed up a part their

HMO systems where some insurance companies only want their customers treated in their own hospitals. They deny people care in other hospitals even if conditions are potentially life threatening.

The NHS never refuses care and "long waiting lists" are for none serious conditions however I managed to get surgery for simple wisdom tooth removal in under a month of discovering I had a problem with them... a minor dental problem. Don't believe the lies.

  • I want to know, if socialized health care is so great in your country, why there is no room in the hospitals, and people are being denied care because of age ultimatly leading to their death. Also, why is it that your own country is saying the the health care system that you have is in seriouse need of a make over? Hospitals ultimately cause 30-100 deaths a year because of the lack of care. Why would i want that in my country?

  • This is so obvious you have not read the actual bill and you are simply citing second hand misinformation from sites which oppose the bill either because their money is threatened or they are willing to defeat anything that hasn't been produced by their "side."

  • Um. No you are wrong. I did read the bill and I just put everything into laymans terms. Have you read the bill. In section 141 it also states the the government can pull individuals and campanies from their insurance plans and companies and force them onto the government plan. Maybe you should do your research and actually read the bill and not be so afraid of the truth that you dont see because of the obama kool-aid.

  • Sec 201: You are somewhat correct. The health care exchange program is voluntary. Health insurance companies do not have to be involved. However, health insurance companies don't seem to be phased by this at all because they will have access to so many more customers that many of them feel it would benefit them to go along with the government requirements to be part of the exchange. Unless you're a health insurance CEO, this is a good thing.

  • Sec 122. You are incorrect. Health care is rationed now and will always be rationed. I can't get super-deluxe treatment on regular insurance unless I pay them a whole lot of money. The same goes for this plan. However, there is nothing in the bill stating there will be rationing of care in the section you are citing but that there will be a research team which researches different drugs and treatments to determine which ones are the most cost effective.

  • Section 123. Incorrect. This states that there will be a committee of experts and even citizens who will determine what should be included in certain types of plans. The same thing insurance companies do now. For example, I'm not going to buy a plan that gives me access to senior citizen physical therapy. However, I will be interested in a plan that covers ER visits. They can't offer a plan that includes everything or I would be charged for stuff I would never use.

  • I once went to the hospital with a nail in my foot, three weeks later, my health insurance sent me a letter saying they were denying my claim as....

    .... A Pre-existing condition

    I sh!t you not

  • Want to hear a really strange one. My mom was pregnant with my brother and when she had him, The insurance denied her clam saying "It is a work related injury and should be under workman's comp"

    I shit you not

  • While I respect your opinion Heartsleeve, the fact of the matter is Obama said in his own words that "someones desire to live does not factor in" , it was better to give a pain pill instead of prolonging a life needlessly. I'm quoting the man himself, though I could also point out that he takes advice from Van Jones who says he believes Health Care should be rationed and reserved for those age 15-40. Simple fact of the matter here more people come to the US to use our Health Care than any other.

  • heartsleeve...ur right!!

private health insurance is the REAL DEATH PANEL. they don't give full health care services. they only care our money! The CEO of the Unitedhealthgroup named Stephen Hemsley took hundreds of millions of dollars from the people.

Go to bravenewfilms channel here in youtube and type "Fight back against health insurance lies"

    PS: that's a FACT!!

  • Now, people are people, so they will believe whatever politicians tell them to. Then isn't it the duty of those with more power to guide their people instead of deceiving them with lies and phony? I find it disgusting how they can get away with those acts and not feel ashamed of themselves. Decent human beings would not be so coldhearted.

  • The republicans are flat out liars. Time and time again I have seen Palin telling lies to everyone. Even if the reason's because she is so incompetent and can't seem to get her facts straight, it doesn't mean she can spout out nonsense. The whole controversy about death panels was fueled by her and by fox. Why lie to people about something as important as health care? It's immoral, irresponsible and pathetically self centered. If she cared about the American people she wouldn't be doing that.

  • "Why lie to people about something as important as health care?"

Why lie about weapons of mass destruction?

Why lie about torture tactics used?

Why lie about the Appalachain Trail?

Because it's what Republicans do. It's the only thing they're good at anymore, and it is awfully convenient from a political standpoint when you can get away with so many lies because your country consists of so many stupid, ignorant, and arrogant morons. Granted, not all are, but enough sure are.

  • ANSWER IS D!! ALL OF D ABOVE

  • It is against the law for any person to be refused care at any hospital in our country, pre-existing or not, whether you have insurance or not, and whether you can pay or not, whether your're a citizen or not. Why do you think all of the illegal aliens come over the border and go to our hospitals? And tell me how Obama is going to cut Medicare by 200 Billion (his own words) plus add millions more to the Medicaid rolls, without raising middle class taxes?

  • This is demonstrably not true. People can be and are refused treatment at many hospitals. In emergency situations, hospitals are not allowed to run credit checks or verify ability to pay, and patients must be in stable condition before they are allowed to leave. However, this by no means that hospitals have to provide the best treatment or long-term treatment or any other service beyond stabilizing the condition for which they entered the ER. Notably, only 1 in 10 illegals use ERs for treatment.

  • Most illegals do not come to America merely for medical treatment. Most come for overall economic opportunity. I do know of plenty of Americans, though, who travel to Mexico and Canada to receive medical and dental treatment, where it is either inexpensive or free.

The $200 billion cuts are projected by reducing payments to Medicare advantage, developing more generic drugs, and decreasing the fees paid to cardiologists and oncologists, while increasing fees paid to primary care physicians.

  • Additional cuts will come from creating flat fees for hospital stays for seniors.

Also, he won't raise middle class taxes because he will be raising them on people who make over $250,000/year. Last time I checked, that's not middle class.

  • When the Republicans attempted to put in an amendment, to insure that Obamacare would never set up "death panels", they refused! Why! Google the ABC interview: John McCain stands up for Sarah Palin on Death Panels.

Also: Obama QUOTE on Oregon having legalized EUTHANASIA: I think that the people of Oregon did a service for the country in recognizing that as the population gets older we've got to think about issues of end-of-life care....

  • I think the rationale behind refusing to put "death panels" into the legislation is that it's kind of like refusing to put a "We promise not to believe unicorns are real" clause into the legislation. The "death panel" stuff is so much absurd hot air coming from the right, it's not even worth addressing.

And personally I think if an older person CHOOSES euthanasia, particularly in the face of a long, painful terminal illness, that should be their choice, just as it should be your CHOICE to live.

  • You don't get to ignore someone else's choice for their health care just because you don't agree with it. In fact, that's the rationale behind end-of-life care conversations with doctors in general. If you don't think it's your time to go, you can clearly communicate that to your physician.

  • People should inform themselves a little better before posting what they think are facts as opposed to their own twisted opinion of reality. All the information's there. if you wanna close your eyes then good luck with changing your lives for the better. Your opinions mean nothing to me if they're not based on reason. I agree with you, intelligent girl with with those stunning glasses. One thing I have learned from Obama is that his administration highly values ethics, the right thing to do.

  • Just what are the facts?? Obama himself hasnt read the bill...all 1100 pages of it. You expect American citizens to go out and read it?? NO ONE knows what the facts are. Lobbyists wrote the bill. Congress has said they dont have time to read the bill either. Obama values ethics?? You are just a blind sheep.

  • H S, I'm going to disagree with you. Maybe not the one H C plan that is available to the public, there are others. Tom Daschle wrote into his plan that death panel would be part of H C. This bill is not writen yet, it's not finalised. Obama care will kill private insureance kiddo, he's said as much.

  • all of the bills are available to the public....

  • it doesnt matter....Obama and COngress has not read the bill written by lobbyists. People are arguing with Democrats who havent even read the bill.

  • Are you referring to Daschle's book? I think you must be. Daschle's book recommends that we take an approach similar to the UK's NICE, a federal group that decides whether or not it will pay for treatments depending upon how effective treatment is relative to its cost. High-cost, ineffective treatments are often not paid for, or not paid for in full, as a result of their decisions. This is NOT a death panel. Notably, most private insurance companies have similar policies.

  • @Auggie56 guess what? what you call "Obama care" didn't kill the private insurance kiddo. All it did was guarantee another 32+ million folks to their profit. That is the biggest mistake of the bill. Yes, now how "socialist" is this health care bill now? If it were a socialist health care bill, the insurance companies wouldn't have had SQUAT to get anything out of it, and yes, all of them would be forced, by Obama himself, out of business.

  • @portlanddem It's not due to be implemented until 2014. A bit premature on your comment Id say.

  • There are death panels of a sort in the VA.

  • quotes from the bills please....?

  • Obamas idea of an optimal health care system is so wonderful that I think we ought to apply it to auto insurance. How nice would it be for each member of society if I were able to delay purchasing auto insurance until I have a pre-existing accident and then get treated as if I had been insured all along? And criticizing Sarah Palin is SO yesterday...

  • Who in his right mind would purchase health insurance when he is young and healthy if he could instead delay the purchase until he has a disease? This is what you call a moral hazard.

  • A lot of pre-existing conditions are congenital, like mine. Should these people be permanently barred from health insurance because of a condition they were born with?

Besides that, most people who don't have health insurance don't have health insurance because it is expensive...not because they don't think they need it. Anyone can need health insurance unexpectedly. This is demonstrated by the fact that 75% of Americans have some form of health insurance, despite the high cost.

  • I think that taxpayers should pay only for catastrophic insurance & ins for certain diseases one may be born with. Everything else should be left to the private sector. This means that any healthy person who waits until they are sick to purchase health ins should pay a higher price than the rest of us, and if the insurance comp denies coverage completely in such a case then so be it; the taxpayer should not foot the bill. The government is crowding out both the private sector and charities.

  • To clarify, in my first sentence, when I say taxpayers, I mean the government.

  • AMEN

  • A DEATH PANEL WILL DENY YOU OLD PEOPLE CARE BECAUSE THEY COST TOO MUCH!!!!! (at least private insurance comapnies are fair and do it regardless of your age.) (that death panel thing was sarcasm btw)

  • Great explanation. So true!

  • Good job on the video!

  • Right on! 5 stars~!!

The republicans need to WAKE UP.

  • Secondly, if gouv has to cut somewere, were will he cuts firts? On health care like in Quebec. That's "universal" care. And good chance to go in an other place, not enough money, to much taxes.

  • LOL all you little crackers jealous one of your women got love for a black man, she wants that big black dick and you cant stand it LOL

  • Never mind me, i just watched and now i feel like a tool, this chix is right. *Slaps me own face in embarrassment.*

  • What the f-ck i couldn't get past the part where you said "i agree"...a public health care system does not do that, what it does is provide health care to the most in need, the poor, elderly and terminally ill. I came through a public health care system in Australia, i was born with a blockage in the urethra which damaged my kidneys, and i never had any treatment with held...the bonus was i received cheap treatment and drugs, and my parents didn't have to be worried about bankruptcy.

  • If you were born in America you would have received the medical attention you needed. Americans are not dying in the streets. People are treated. I donated my kidney to my nephew who is on medical assistance. He was 7 and he has received the best medical attention money can buy.

  • The key there is "that money can buy". Which is great, if you hvae money. As for your statement about people dying in the streets I would dare you to say that to a homeless person, you know those people who live on the streets. The arguement is not about whether or not the medical care in America is good or bad, its about who has access to and who does not.

  • WTHmatters;

Yes, I think I know about homeless people. Each state has different coverage for people who are indigent. Unfortunately, people who really hurt by not having medical insurance are the working people who do not have medical insurance. My point, we DO NOT NEED OR WANT A NATIONAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. Some changes are good, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Look at the military health care, do you want that? I don't think so.

  • Clearly some of us DO want a national health care system, and some of us very obviously think we need it. Be careful of your liberal use of the word "we."

I feel the same way about the problems in the bill as you do about the idea of national health care: don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

  • What's the problem in USA. You can't have health care and die at 50 years old? Bad technology? And if I want to fuck my girl friend 10 times a day and, oh problem, will have a baby, so I'll can abort with your money, because no responsability? And from your side you have less possibility to have better heath care. No?!?!? May be that's mean have lower cost.

  • Or you could use a condom to prevent pregnancy... thats generally what people do. Seems like a simpler plan if you want to have sex with your girlfriend. Not that i beleive you have one.

  • Good job.

Sarah Palin is one of the evils of the world

  • Have you read the Obama plan?

The plan does have provisions for denying medical insurance.

I have spent ten years in the military. You do not get the same quality of care as the private sector.

You young lady do not know what you are talking about. Read the bill.

  • hey buddy there is no bill to read yet...so please shut your motherfucking conservative mouth...the bill has not been written yet...

  • There's no bill to read yet?? Of course there is! Google it and then get back to me. Research your facts before you talk shit. And secondly of course there are liberal and conservative media; news is biased to favor one side or another. And I'm not conservative. I'm just asking people to justify their claims. Anyone can say anything about this health care proposal, but how do you know who's right? That's why all claims have to be justified.

  • siuperman;

I am not talking as a republican or democrat. I have looked at the bill. A national health care plan scares me.

After spending 10 years in the military and getting "free" medical. I don't want to return to that again. But, I fear a national plan would be even worse. A VA hospital, and a vets second opportunity to die for his/her country.

I imagine a system like the public school. We all pay for insurance but if you have enough money you can get private insurance.

  • ooooooouuuuu!!! fucking spookyyyyyy then go fuck urself motherfucker

  • Provisions for WHO denying medical insurance? Please clarify.

And I am well aware that the military does not get the same quality of care as in the private sector. I come from a military family. However, I know that soldiers and veteran in serious medical or financial need get SOME care when they need it, which is not true in the private sector...to which everyone else is relegated.

  • bow chika bow wow

  • Another problem with that they are now proposing is that it would greatly enhance the profits of the private insurance companies and bankrupt the program. With no pre-existing condition or other denials, every single person with chronic health problems will be on the gov plan and that would make the private companies get youngest healthiest people and their costs would go down and profits up.

  • This is one of the best points against current health care reform, and I agree. BUT, not having a public option will not significantly change the fact that the current legislation will enhance the profits of insurance companies. Universal mandate takes care of that. Believe we should focus on reducing cost of health care in general.

  • I think one of the best things we could do was to reinstate deductibles. Insurance isn't for paying for basic care. If a person gets a cold, they should pay for that themselves. Watch how fast the people who insist on the latest antibiotics when they get a cold suddenly understand that they don't kill viruses. Maybe 500/yr with no deductible for the very poor. They should also open up competition.

  • The most you'll have to deal with is a waiting list. Britan has a waiting list, Canada has a waiting list, but patients do get the help they need WITHOUT MAJOR FINANCIAL LOSS. Privatization of health care will hurt more people in the long run than making it more public. And chances are, the elderly and the people with down syndrome can't afford to get help in a private system anyway. PRESCRIPTIONS AND MEDICAL TREATMENTS ARE EXPENSIVE!!!!

  • Americans have waiting lists, too. How many times have you tried to get into a specialist, only to be told they don't have any free appointments for months?

  • The fact that people are denied care because of pre-existing conditions is quite provable and a justifiable claim. It DOES happen. I don't believe that this is the case for most insured people, but it still occurs and as long as it happens to one person, it is unacceptable.

  • You make too many claims with no subsequent proof or justification. I'm not implying that I don't agree with you, but can you correlate what you say to what is said in the Health Care Bill? Or are you "debunking" all of these conservative myths based on what the liberal media tells you?

  • U must b a fan of FAUX News, who consider all other media are liberal, there is no liberal or conservative media..u piece of shiit

  • This is all stuff you can find in HR3200. And the liberal media hasn't been saying ANYTHING about what's actually in the bill. They've been too busy covering the "deathers."

  • Very well put. People, please spread the word, she hit the nail right on the head here.

  • I fully agree, good video! I believe that any opposition to health care reform on the part of the media and politicians is influenced by health insurance companies. Of course they are going to do whatever they can to protect their profits, and that includes paying off whoever they have to. I'd like to see health insurance companies wiped out, because I believe that when it comes to health, profit should not be an issue.

At the very least, I want to see pre-existing condition clauses GONE!

  • Right, your guarantee that they'll dull out care is akin to the girl claiming she won't have to pay her mortgage or buy gas after the inauguration. I've read the bill and seen the policies they claim don't exist. Barry's comparison of the US postal service to his health care plan says enough as does the fact that he lied about including all Americans in the formation of outlining it on c-span. America is tired of being lied to and THAT is why people are resisting this nonsense.

  • I'm just curious what legislation you read, because the legislation I read was clearly very different.

  • Good video :)

  • death panel pshaa ur all a bunch retards no such thing just people bein rascist

  • Well said, 5 stars!

  • If there was a political party that provided health care and education for the poor, was anti gun-control, for decriminalizing marijuana and prostitution, liberal in terms of freedom of speech (for pornographers as well as news), had a free market ideology and were for a strict control of the border and no-tolerance against criminal immigrants, well, I'd vote for them.

  • What also bothers me is women standing up shouting that they don't want to pay for another womans abortion, and that abortion isn't health care.

Well Abortion is health care when a woman will die if she has the child, abortion is health care when the baby will be born without a brain, abortion is health care. Abortion isn't health care when it is just being used as birth control.

  • well said

i worked for humana for several years. and i cannot begin to tell you how many people on a daily basis i had to deny insurance. anyone who has had an individual health care plan knows the long list of pre-existing conditions you have to answer yes or no to before your approved for coverage.

everyone deserves the right to live. the only way to do that is to find a way for everyone to receive quality health care.

  • Good video. The people protesting the town hall meetings act like their private insurance companies are their best friends when those companies are the ones rationing health care and denying a fellow human being coverage in order to save a few more pieces of green paper.

Sadly, I think the conservative movement isn't really fighting over health care. It's all about stopping progress on this reform to ruin the Dems credibility and win back control in 2010 and 2012.

  • Five stars.

    Well done.

  • Newsflash: All politicians lie; Obama is no different. This country isn't the gem that the media and brainwashed idiots make it out to be, it's a practical slave state.

  • Prove it.

  • just a few days ago this woman said "for the sake of the american soldier, quit making things up." then, she goes on and on about "death panels" (making things up) and now she's calling for civil discourse? it amazes me that there are still people in america who think she would be a great president. this is what happens when you have a third rate education system which is always on the chopping block during tough times.

  • you are a smart girl. well done.

  • euthanasia!!

  • The problem with this message is that it makes sense and is backed with facts. Unfortunately those are 2 things that the Repubs are not concerned with. All they want to do is oppose anything Obama is doing because they are sore losers. It is sad but it is true.

  • you got it right! Please keep doing what you are doing...this misinformation needs to stop...you keep debunking these myths...Go on!

  • lol

  • I too have a couple of pre-existing conditions, I too have had my former insurance companies refuse to pay for my treatments.

I have been laid off from my job and I lost my insurance. Even if I could afford insurance I will be denied due to a back injury I had and my recent bout with skin cancer.

Great video, spread the truth. It is time for America to wize up. This bill will save the people who are in similar situations. Do not think it can't happen to you, trust me it can.

    AMERICA WAKE UP !!!

  • I agree with most of what you say.

However, the so called private health care industry is far from private. Its heavily regulated. One of the most regulated industries. In a truyly free open competetive market anybody can find affordable health care.

  • right now we have HMOs that act as death panels.

  • I hate those liberals always trying to educate me and give free healthcare service it's just evil.
