Poking has been part of facebook from the beginning. Its a way of saying hi when you dont know what else to say. I actually find if un to poke back and fourth with my friends.

I look at it this way, I have a website/business and a blog, I create videos to connect to new people, share stuff that someone may find helpful and to drive traffic to my website/blog sharing info, I use facebook to maintain my connections with friends and develop a more 'personal' connection with people I meet on other networks (continued)

@6400az (continued) I use google+ to connect to professionals and develop new friendships that couldn't be orchastrated using facebook's 2 degree of separation algorithm, twitter as an RSS for content and to connect to people in the entertainment industry/PR professionals, linkedin for strictly business /networking connections. Youtube offers a partnership program (where you can get paid). I don't get paid enough to buy a sandwich, but I know a lot of people that make over 100k a year.

@6400az (continued) the benefit of video - isn't just the partnership, it's the ability to share content on the second largest search engine in the world - it drives way more traffic/leads to whatever you want to promote - for example, I help youtube artists brand themselves, I've worked with Ed Bassmaster and Jenna Marbles. I get at least 50 leads a week for branding on here, 10 from google+, maybe 5 a week on facebook, none on twitter.
