Actually, for that particular part of the song, he flips his hand over the fretboard for the ascending triplets. When they're done, he flips his hand back over and it causes him to drop two holds in the process. If you want the FC without dropping the holds, you need to be able to one-hand the triplets without flipping, or tap them.
