@k4ba i don't understand why they haven't already. with today's technology and HDTVs they could remake this game frame by frame, keep everything exactly the same as far as mechanics and gameplay, and it would sell ridiculously. Jenova is a calamity that fell to Gaea in a Meteor it tried to destroy the Cetra, but was beaten 2,000 years later Shinra Electric Power Company dug up Jenova and eventually her cells were used by Proffessor Hojo in The "J.E.N.O.V.A Project" these were a series of experiments that created top class SOLDIER 1st class, Soldier was used by Shinra to destroy anyone that got in their way, the best of this SOLDIER was Sephiroth who was better then the rest, he went mad when he found out.....
about the terrible Experiments that made him, He went on to hate Shinra and over time he wanted to destroy the planet, he believed the Human Race had destroyed the last of the Cetra who he believed was his "Mother", Jenova where as ironically it was She who destroyed the Cetra, and so Sephiroth went on believing that he was the last Cetra and he was rightful ruler of the planet and eventually went on to become the Villian you face in the FF7 game, Jenova though was basically Coma-like then.

ff8 and ff9's graphics were superior to 7's. So it wasn't the Playstation's limitations. I honestly though the battle graphics for 7 were amazing, but the overworld sprites looked like deformed Lego characters. :D
this game is absolutely fantastic.. along with zelda oot the two best rpgs ever created in my opinion. i must have raked up about a month of continuous gameplay on these lol.. not funny actually but i dont regret it at all!

It's crazy how amazing these graphics were! I mean, the Playstation was a 32 bit system, and the GBA as well; can you imagine these visuals on a GBA? :P I can't. xP Awesome AMV, BTW. It's one of my favorite Final Fantasy songs.
Out of all the phenomena in Final Fantasy, Jenova and her/its race has always fascinated me the most.
I think they should make the next Final Fantasy take place in outer space, spanning several planets, not just one world, and that the main antagonists should be Jenova's race.
I'm so curious. Where do they come from? What exactly is their first form? All we know is that it's a parasitic alien being that infects planets. I'd like to learn of the backstory! :)
Jenova is so clearly based off of the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P Lovecraft. I like to think that its Jenova is in charge of Sethropth, then you get this whole Lovecraften thing of an alein god trying to use mortals as a way to take control of the world.

8 was my fav for gameplay as far as how the summons work and magic gathered and so forth, I like 12 for the battle system, and I think Zell was a badass

It's a pretty old game. it was the first FF game with 3D graphics I think. It came out in like the 90's.

ff8 and ff9's graphics were superior to 7's. So it wasn't the Playstation's limitations. I honestly though the battle graphics for 7 were amazing, but the overworld sprites looked like deformed Lego characters. :D

this game is absolutely fantastic.. along with zelda oot the two best rpgs ever created in my opinion. i must have raked up about a month of continuous gameplay on these lol.. not funny actually but i dont regret it at all!

FINAL FANTASY VII IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!! sry about that ^^ but this game is really the greatest game EVER. played it through 7 times now lol. and no im not a video game freak^^, I just like that game ^^ nice video though

It's crazy how amazing these graphics were! I mean, the Playstation was a 32 bit system, and the GBA as well; can you imagine these visuals on a GBA? :P I can't. xP Awesome AMV, BTW. It's one of my favorite Final Fantasy songs.

Out of all the phenomena in Final Fantasy, Jenova and her/its race has always fascinated me the most.
I think they should make the next Final Fantasy take place in outer space, spanning several planets, not just one world, and that the main antagonists should be Jenova's race.
I'm so curious. Where do they come from? What exactly is their first form? All we know is that it's a parasitic alien being that infects planets. I'd like to learn of the backstory! :)

Jenova is so clearly based off of the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P Lovecraft. I like to think that its Jenova is in charge of Sethropth, then you get this whole Lovecraften thing of an alein god trying to use mortals as a way to take control of the world.

OMG, I love Lovecraft! You're my hero, lol. Lovecraft is amazing. I love his Cthulhu Mythos. I just got into him though, so I haven't read much.
If you want to play a Lovecraftian game, try out Shadow Hearts, it's amazing. The final Boss is a God-like organism from the M72 nebula.
