This stuff happens. Theres been a man with three mouths, theres bound to be a bug that grows a bit bigger than it should. Although I did see a Mosquito-Bee hybrid like thing in my garage the other day and it was like the size of my palm, cause it had these big spindly legs, but I still cant imagine a bee and a mosquito........you know.....
This just goes too show how much WE DONT KNOW about the place we live! Just goes to show how amazing this planet is. And how some mythical creatures couldve existed! We don't have to look to outer space and the outer galaxies for alien life... just need to look below our feet, land, and seas. There are creatures here that are "alien" to us. So one can only fathom what may have existed thousands of years ago and the things that DO exist today. We are so wrapped in ourselves that we dont SEE!
We saw something very, very, VERY close to this thing in Ottawa, Canada just last summer. We tried to figure out what it was and we sort of partly decided it was tropical!! Very eerie and huge creature!! The one we saw moved in the exact same way, too!! Thanks for this!!
I think bugs with that shape an look, they suck blood while you sleep. I know smaller bugs of that shape tend to suck blood for food. And its neer the mouth, they can detect the carbon you breath out.

That is a Long horn Harlequin beetle, It is essentialy harmless, but scorpions are know for hitching rides on them.
