PLEASE can we have a return to traditional animation practices. cgi is so deadening and leaves the charectors flat and expressionless. these type of films are killing real animation. awful

I felt that the camera was a little too static, and didn't really help to emphasis moments in the film, for instance, when he is running through the forest from the creatures, a little camera shaking would have helped to emphasis the terror.

The music is epic, but the characters are very flat and lack proper dramatic expression. The audience has no reason to empathize with the main character, and therefor is unable to gather proper emotional investment. The physics are VERY soft - distractingly so. Great piece as a 'first attempt' from a student, but 'worlds best'? Disagree.

@sknygrydg07 You are right about the faces and physics. There are still countless mistakes. The facial animations are way to flat. All and all I think the team did a good job given the time limit. Wish I spent more time on the animation and less on certain other areas. The school entered it into the festival and I would like to thank them, but the medal does not mean position, it means quality. There are other films that also got gold in the same category student short film.
