1) FDR was definitely president during the great depression, which lasted much of the way through the 30s- he was just president towards the end of it, from 1933 onwards.

Sweet corn is what people eat. Field corn is what's made into ethanol (and animal feed, corn oil, syrup, starch, etc.) Even with government-subsidized demand for field corn, the majority of it still goes for animal feed. If demand were market-driven instead of mandated, I don't think the discussion would be the same.

i don't know whether the FDR thing is a lie, i'm not educated in American history. Two things i can argue with here:
1) FDR was definitely president during the great depression, which lasted much of the way through the 30s- he was just president towards the end of it, from 1933 onwards.
2) The television was invented around 1926 by John Baird.
So fair enough if Joe Biden got his facts wrong or was lying or whatever, but if you're going to criticise someone's inaccuracy, get your facts right.

By restoring faith in the economy. By not bailing out companies that will bankrupt anyway. By not organising a government hold-up. By not raising taxes on everybody (energy-tax). It's simple, you just have to apply more regulations on the financial markets, not socialise the entire company. Making a trillion dollar debt really isn't going to solve anything. It'll just increase the power of the government because it has huge debt so taxes will remain high for the future generations.

Love your work, big fan -- just want to point out a couple of things about "food vs. fuel." The issue is the government subsidies, not that we're "turning food into fuel." Sweet corn is what people eat. Field corn is what's made into ethanol (and animal feed, corn oil, syrup, starch, etc.) Even with government-subsidized demand for field corn, the majority of it still goes for animal feed. If demand were market-driven instead of mandated, I don't think the discussion would be the same.

actually, he wasn't president at the beginning of the depression, that's what he's reffering to. the comment (of biden's) was that f.d.r. went on t.v. and told everyone to calm down. what really happened was he began his 'fireside chats' (broadcast on radio). because while t.v. had been invented, it was very expensive and was not yet in many homes. f.d.r. bcame pres. when the U.S. was 4 years into the 'great depression'. i'm still a big fan too.

First off, I have yet to come across ANY serious evidence that she is in fact mentally handicapped, or even socially handicapped. (a verbal slip at the 45th interview in a day is barely evidence)
Secondly, she lives out conservative ideals more than most politicans. Also, participating in an extreme sport (arial wolf hunting) is just plain cool.
