Bring back NBA on NBC. you know you want to David Stern. Here's the thing - Costas has always been a straight shooter. Would Costas call out Lebron and Kobe like he has with several players and teams his monologues during halftime of the NFL games? I think he would and I dont think Stern would want to take the risk of that happening to his great marketing chip right now. Also, if the CBA negotiations go too long will the TV partners back out of their deals like the TV partners did with the NHL?
The NFL is still big. The NBA was definitely was the most popular in the 90's. Like hip hop, the NBA has gone down since then. The NHL was also popular until the mid-90's but then went into a rapid decline. MLB has made a solid comeback since the 90's, but is still #2 to the NFL.
The salary cap in the NFL creates for unpredictable seasons, which makes for high ratings. The NBA sucks bc the talent is not there anymore. The NHL jus does not promote the sport like it should.
man u can never replace the 90's, the nfl and nba were the two bets things ever created. Thats wen ppl actually played for the love of the game but nowadays its all about money and if u even injure your damn finger your out for like 3 weeks, wtf bring back the 90's
one more thing dummy if you are allowed to "guard" the ball, how come games aren't 170-169 every night, since the attackers will have their hand out all day shielding away the defenders, there would no more steals, oh i know, how about they push also, since they move away the defenders any time. idiot
dummy u make no sense. you can guard the ball with your off hand AS LONG as you are not deliberately using it to move the defender away from the ball, because they have as much right for the ball as the attacker.
Knicks fans were always upset that they didn't have MJ. Instead, they were stuck with Patrick Ewing and the "no rings" Knicks dynasty of the 90's. And the Knicks were always known for being dirty so frankly Jordan's "left arm" was nothing compared to the crap Riley had his team do. aggressive defense my behind!
since when did it become legal dumbass? thats like giving a moving screen to yourself when you use your arms ILLEGALLY. oh yeah but of course jordan didnt push byron russell to get seperation in the finals right? take jordan out of your mouth alright.
Nice job by Jordan using that left arm ILLEGALLY to shield charlie ward. damn jordan could punch someone in the stomach to get the ball and there still wouldn't be a foul called.
@chinhood. Oh my goodness you think that the play that started at 0:47 is a Pushoff on MJ??? HEck I don;t think MJ even touched Ward there. You must have rules mixed up---in todays NBA they call that a foul since the rules turned pansy. BAck then they let you play a tough man's game. And LOL MJ pushed off on Russell in the 98 FInals??? If that is a foul then BAsketball is ruined. HEck even in todays Pansy rulebook of the NBA that wouldn't be a foul (MJ final shot over made vs Russell).
Those Knicks jerseys were ugly. i miss the old school ones.

@magicoke1 Should be ABC themes since they used different ones before the current one. NBC had one, and that beats ABC/ESPN themes.

NBC and CBS were the BEST networks to cover NBA Basketball. TNT/TBS were/are pretty good, but ABC/ESPN needs to bye-bye.

NFL sucks due to the salary cap.
NBA sucks due to leaving NBC
NHL sucks due to leaving ESPN
