The wind is too weak for blades that are that small. The generator wouldn't budge. Not to mention the the shoulder is there for a reason.

I'd like to see these on the sides of the freeway too. The cars are whizzing by on one side at least, so the wind might be half of what it is in the middle? But there's still power to be had!

Good idea, poor design JMO

Have to think about safety issues with the passing vehicles and emergency pull overs. I think this would be great at 10 or 15 feet up.
