@bikermark666 get your facts right, bro. Giants armor is the best, fully upgrade it. You'll see. You can't touch smough and ornsteins, but you can upgrade giants so its better in the long run. Only bad thing is those armors hinder stamina regen. Badly, too. I suggest the Armor of Favor, or even Dark Wraith armor. They are both very good, and don't hinder stamina regen.
Game isn't hard. You only die if you're stupid, impatient, and suck. It's not an unfair system, simply an unforgiving one that rewards practice and the ability to learn and adapt.
@prmorey I died many times, all because I either played too stupidly or failed to learn from earlier mistakes. I just beat the game in three days, and I think it's far from incorrect to state that the game is better describe as unforgiving than anything else. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying that if you die, you'll suck all around. I'm saying that if you die, it's not one's fault but your own. @teeheey yes they are both very good games, and yes those complaining about the bosses just need to hold up their shield, dodge wen needed(meaning wen the shield wont even matter if u use it) and observe the bosses attacks, after ur sure that u kno all attacks u can easily kill them or it

@ltb08uk Bull fucking shit. The difficulty is in NG, NOT NG+. NG+ is no doubt a hard mother fucker but the skill and knowledge gained in the original NG is what lets you skip through it in 3 hours. There's bosses and areas you can completely avoid. But you have to face it; When you're first dropped into this world with no map, no idea what class to choose or item to pick or where to go or what your enemies can do, you will die around a hundred times and spend tens of hours adventuring.
@eagerbeaver53 o well good, heres a tip, u can kill ornstein, then smough, and be able to buy smoughs armor (wich is the best armor in game and is lighter than havels) or kill smough then ornstein and get ornsteins wich is almost half the weight of smoughs and more than half the defence, so if u dont mind walkin slow and take the least damage go wit smoughs and if u wana be able to go quick and take lesser than normal damage go wit ornstein, i like ornsteins the most ;)

We're masochists. And as much I love the Elder Scrolls series(and believe me I do) , it's never satisfied that lust for difficulty and challenge. Not counting Morrowind, where the really dangerous thing was getting stuck between a rock or falling in a hole your low athletics, agility and acrobatics cant get you out of.

Skyrim: Very fun, Immerse action RPG for people who like to get really in depth into a game. Dark Souls: A challenging game, that takes time and patience to do well in. They are both great types of games, but honestly if you want challenge on Skyrim, just turn the difficulty slider all the way to the right... Both are fun games, i loved Demon Souls and I love Dark Souls. However, Skyrim is better if you immersion. Dark Souls doesn't have that on account of the constant deaths.

@TsrisChris I happen to have skyrim, lvl 50 thief/warrior. On master difficulty. Dark souls (New Game+) is harder than Skyrim's Master diff. I'd say Regular DS game is between expert and Master difficulty on Skyrim. They are completely different games, I was just comparing the Difficulty of those games. I like both of them, but Dark souls offer more of a challenge than Skyrim. I was surprised that in Skyrim you can actually chop people's head off...That one, I did not expect.

Demons souls, is a game where you have to learn from experience; you have to think instead of charging in head first. It's hard because it requires strategy, thought and well good character customization. It is hard yes, but it can be fair for those who plan.

i eat sleep and breath TES series ive logged 3 years of my life on that game and i dont understand why people cant expand thier minds and understand that this game is freakin awesome and IS a very tough competitor for skyrim and is amazing! Thumbs up all around, high five Fromsoft, pound it Skyrim! you guys are both great and i hope you deliver more exciting games like this in the future! ia m looking forward to it :D

Skyrim: Very fun, Immerse action RPG for people who like to get really in depth into a game. Dark Souls: A challenging game, that takes time and patience to do well in. They are both great types of games, but honestly if you want challenge on Skyrim, just turn the difficulty slider all the way to the right... Both are fun games, i loved Demon Souls and I love Dark Souls. However, Skyrim is better if you immersion. Dark Souls doesn't have that on account of the constant deaths.

im a gamer and i love dark souls for those nights when you want a proper challenge and that sense of **** yea finally killed that ****er.
Skyrim is on my to buy list as one of the more im looking for a fun chilled out good story driven game with hand holding.
Difficulty wise skyrim doesnt stand close to dark souls, mass market casual RPG makes skyrim a better game for those with anger issues or less gaming experience for me both DS rocks and i think skyrim will as well.

dark souls is a game for people who have so much time they can sit in front of this game and no life it for 6-8hours a day. i work 5days a week 8 hour days don't have the time to waste on a trash game skyrim ftw.

Yet I still managing to play Dark souls, cleaning up my home and so on. dark souls is a game where player have to put EFFORT to beat it. Not time. Two titles are both good. Skyrim is alot easier, you literally dont have to use ur mind to finish the game. You are easily shown yourself as a rage quitter and a whiner, prove me wrong. TRY Dark souls. Skyrim isnt better than dark souls. Skyrim=Casual, Dark souls=Hardcore

@Suplee2 you have obviously never played skyrim, skyrim is actually quite grim in comparison to the others, of course not as grim as Dark Souls, I happen to own both collectors edition of skyrim and Dark Souls, so before you go judging i recommend u buy skyrim yourself, either that or stfu

@TsrisChris I happen to have skyrim, lvl 50 thief/warrior. On master difficulty. Dark souls (New Game+) is harder than Skyrim's Master diff. I'd say Regular DS game is between expert and Master difficulty on Skyrim. They are completely different games, I was just comparing the Difficulty of those games. I like both of them, but Dark souls offer more of a challenge than Skyrim. I was surprised that in Skyrim you can actually chop people's head off...That one, I did not expect.

Demons souls, is a game where you have to learn from experience; you have to think instead of charging in head first. It's hard because it requires strategy, thought and well good character customization. It is hard yes, but it can be fair for those who plan.

@EvilOddAcko If you ever played the first game: Demon's Souls, you'd die alot. In fact death was inevitable, the game was extremely hard.
I imagine this game will be just as hard as the first. Also in this trailer you see the main character die every other clip, thats most likely why its called a thousand deaths.
