This was okay guitar playing with sadass vocals. The kind of thing that embodies mediocrity. This is what you record so that you learn what NOT to do and perform better next time. But somehow, much like other videos on this site, it made its way to the light of day with no justification. Just keep practicing next time; you could probably do justice to this song within the decade - maybe.
@ADIDASects -- i wouldnt be too upset that some shitty video i did FOUR YEARS ago got under 4k views,, thats absolutely nothing after all the time its been available on here,.,, and personally, comments like these dont bother me so i dont know what you wanted to accomplish by posting. other than giving me yet another view, and another post on a dead video from ages past.. so thanks.
Please tell me you´re not signed to a record label! You shouldn´t have to deal with a controlling label. Being an indie artist leaves you so much freedom, you should never sign with a label. It´s sad to see musicians with so much talent, but absolutely no freedom, or money. And you´ve got the talent.
well, im not signed to a record label :P so i guess i can tell you that heh., i would love to really 'make it' though., im with a band now in south carolina, (Irritating Julie) you should look up our stuff on here or myspace , id love to hear what you think!
The thing is, you can make it as an indie artist now. Just release your songs on myspace, charge 50 cents per download, or, I believe, you can release songs on the iTunes store. You get all, or at least most of, the money for your sales. Imagine, if one of your band´s songs were downloaded on myspace 1,000,000 times, and you charged just 10 cents per download, that´s $100,000 right there. And myspace is so popular, I think that would be your best bet.
No offense, but if you ever get offered a deal, sign on the line in blood because right now I could go to any bar or pub within walking distance of where i live and the house singer/guitarist will be far more talented. Sorry, just the reality of it.
And sithwithshotgun, what makes you think you're an industry expert? You're obviously not.
I never at any point claimed to be an industry expert. Ever. I have never said that. I´m only passing on the information my singing teacher told me. So no, I am not an industry expert. You are inferring something that I frankly only very vaguely implied. Don´t tell people with that tone of writing that they aren´t something that they never claimed to be. It´ll just piss more people off.
Very nice. Try putting some kick in your voice, so it doesn't end up so washed out. Beautiful way of singing, but mix it up! =) Try hitting at the top of your voice, without screaming. You come across very drowned, and styled up, where the quality in your voice is hidden behind your inflections. Remember Darius, of Hootie? =) Originality, style, and most of all, a voice powerful enough to move his audience. Excellent work. Nice choice of songs, too. Alot of my nostalgic favorites. Peace.
Another PERFECT example of knowing when nuance is best and when power is best - the original singer of this song Mr. Steven Page - that man has one of the most powerful voices out there, but he also knows when to tone it down.
I like your version very much...did you notice you skipped the second verse..."And if you wanna find me i'll be out in the sandbox..." still a nice job! Give ours a listen when you get a chance!
oye! lol~ yes yes, i do know i skipped verses *sigh* haha,. i tend to forget words/chords/entire stanzas often ;) LOL but hey. during a show its all about having fun anyways ^_^ ill definitely take a listen to yours!
sounds fine! maybe you're right, i should post some stuff here. Anyway, i`m woody. this is my msm: gonchi_fierro(you know)hotmail.(com) I own an indie diy record label. if you have some tunes, it'll be my pleasure to produce your demo. Let's keep in touch. Cheers, Woody
heyy very cool!! where did you play the harmonics? *what frets*? you should post a vid of that or something :D thankyou very much btw i really do appreciate it~

Your voice really doesnt fit with the song. No offence, the guitar playing is pretty nice, but its really hard to hit the right sound for BNL.
