@92ridethelightning92 I am a UC fan, but I am a realist. I am not sold on Butch Jones yet. I saw no improvement in this team from week 1 to week 12. That says to me either the team didn't trust Jones and didn't buy into his system or that Jones does not have the ability to coach players up. Dantonio and Kelly had this team of 2 star recruits competing with teams that had 4 and 5 star guys.

Collaros is a clone of Dan LeFevour and should have had tremendous success in Jones' system. Despite both being spread teams, Jones and Kelly run two totally different systems. Kelly run like a run and shoot spread where the WR can basically do what they want while Jones runs more of a West Coast Offense Spread. Very different. Maybe the players couldn't grasp it in one year

It could very easily happen, however I won't be making a prediction until I see this team play. I wish this game was our 3rd game instead of our 2nd. Its hard to gauge how good a team is against a FBS team.

@92ridethelightning92 I am a UC fan, but I am a realist. I am not sold on Butch Jones yet. I saw no improvement in this team from week 1 to week 12. That says to me either the team didn't trust Jones and didn't buy into his system or that Jones does not have the ability to coach players up. Dantonio and Kelly had this team of 2 star recruits competing with teams that had 4 and 5 star guys.

He's done a helluva job,given the mess he inherited,IMHO.
btw You wanna bring up your 2-3 star players....We didn't exactly have ALL the top recruits in country playing for us last year.
It was still 70% freshman(most being 3 and some 4 stars) against VETERAN-stacked SEC teams.
We didn't exactly have it easy last year,ya know?

@92ridethelightning92 we had our first 5 star recruit transfer from USC, he played one series, was injured and out for his whole career lol. Jones is a pretty good recruiter though... he got 2 4 star recruits already and one that should have been 4 stars.
I honestly thought that Dooley would go to UGA and carry on his father's legacy. Do you think if they fire Richt that he would leave UT for that job? I doubt it, but V. Dooley is a god there.

Especially since UGA is in the same DIVISION as us and there's the whole thing about him returning this program to respectability and him establishing the VOL FOR LIFE program.

@92ridethelightning92 I am not sure Jones can do that, but it could also be the players didn't buy in last year. Collaros is a clone of Dan LeFevour and should have had tremendous success in Jones' system. Despite both being spread teams, Jones and Kelly run two totally different systems. Kelly run like a run and shoot spread where the WR can basically do what they want while Jones runs more of a West Coast Offense Spread. Very different. Maybe the players couldn't grasp it in one year

@92ridethelightning92 That is something I like. I don't think Kelly would have ever won a big game here. He was out coached in every big game they played. Jones wasn't, but they played horrible against teams they should have beat. That is why I am not saying "Oh UC will beat you guys by 30 points". I have no idea if this team will be better. They are capable of scoring on anyone. Remember they had the best offense in the BE even when they were 4 and 8.

I enjoy talking football more than talking trash really. I mean honestly, how many ways can you say my team can beat your team before you get bored? I am coming to the game though. Its been a while since I have been in an SEC stadium and I wanted my wife to experience that.
If we beat UT then that will be a huge win for this program, but if we lose, I am not worried about it. Our easiest road to a BCS bowl game is in winning the BE. If Kelly was smart he would have stayed here.

I have been a season ticket holder. I even went to Falcon's youth camp in 1980 where I spent 3 days with the team and got to know guys like Steve Bartkowski, William Andrews and Lynn Cain. Kelly can't recruit for shit and left us with bare cupboards when he left which is why we went 4-8 last year. So, don't whine to me about coaches and ADs. UC did what it did with 2 and 3 star recruits. You guys have the luxury of 4 and even some 5 star recruits.

I am a Falcons fan (Petrino, Vick, Etc.), a UGA alum (I am sure you are aware of their recent woes) and a UC alum (Dantonio left after saying he wouldn't, Kelly knew he was leaving and so didn't bother to recruit at all even though he promised the team and fans he wasn't going to leave), so yeah I know what it is to be fucked over.

Their coach had promised them he wasn't leaving, told them they were family and that money didn't mean anything to him, and then he bolted before the biggest game in program history. He wouldn't even stay to coach one game. They were coached by the current coach of the University of f'n Buffalo. They were also facing the most dominate player in the last decade in his last game. No fan thought we had a shot to win that game
