I just saw the video, and what he actually said that if the congress not only audited but were "making judgments about our policy decisions" then that would be a "takeover" of the Fed by Congress and "WOULD be highly destructive to the stability of the economy". He said "would", not "could". Yeah, he's clearly all-knowing about the economy.

Bernanke has learned the same fear mongering tactics that Congress uses everyday. Sigh.

Ive a solution to the whole fed problem: Stop paying fed income taxes. They cant arrest you if they dont have money to pay the people to come arrest you and they sure as shit arent going to do it themselves. awesome vid.
