Well, I have to disagree because I grew up in the 80's, so the classic stuff is well classic. But my system has always been you can only compare albums to their era: 1. Iron Maiden -Killers, Era 2. Beast through Seventh Son; Era 3 No Prayer - Fear; Era 4 X -XI; Era 5 (Comeback) Brave - AMOLAD; Era 6 Frontier - ...

Each era is apples and oranges to other eras. Different fans, different culture, different motivations, different band.

Loved 1984, but once I read BNW, I knew what the end was more likely to end up looking like. It's like we're 90% of the way there already, and it only took six decades, not six centuries. They really captured the pathos of the book in this song! I get choked up every time I hear it, it reminds me so much of the novel.
