It makes me very sad, every time i read or watch pride and prejudice, that those characters never existed. I would of given my left arm to be apart of this series. (House party, although pride and prejudice would be cool too)

Regency era is probably my favorite historical period. Finally, a dating show I might actually enjoy. I think the "House" series are an absolutely fantastic idea. I can't believe I'd never heard of them until now. As an actor, I've always been a bit upset that there weren't reality shows that showcased actors, especially actors that aren't that proficient in singing. I think this series is great for actors because you do essentially play a character for 3 months.

ugh...boring! it's taken a wonderful idea (like 1900 house, colonial house etc) and turned it into a dating reality show? what a waste!

@mei975 You might have taken a closer look. It is about wooing and arranging marriages in upper-class Brittain around 1850. Instead of a documentary it is with real-life emotions around that process to show the effects and constraints people had to 'suffer'.

So, frankly spoken, your comment is quite superficial and shortminded. If one reflects this on you as a person: what a waste to a human, living life by the cover, not by reading the book. Poor soul!

There was a British and American DVD of the series.

I think I've seen the American one.

But of course I could be wrong and am confusing this show with another living history reality show.
