those 240z's are nice cars when they came out, i remember racing one to 120mph on the highway with my dads 1971 ford country squire station wagon, i bet the bastard to 120mph from an on ramp cause he was tail gating my ass for 4 miles, so i told my friend if he folowws me on the highway i'm going to blow his fuckin doors off i did to about 120mph, then he just powered past me. if i didnt have a fuckin towing package, i would of smoked him.

I understand this is a stupid thing to do on the street but come on, it's human nature, adrenaline/fear/risk, cause us to evolve as human beings. I was a passenger in a serious high speed crash - should not even be here today. However, i built a fast car afterward and i respect the laws of physics but here and there when the road is open and im confident in my car and driving abilities i do put the foot to the floor - and im sure these guys don't go all out 24/7, so what if they did for the vid

@MikeW259 Uh... not sure I follow. Racing is fine; racing on a track or strip is actually a great way to spend a day. Car building is also fine; shoehorning a big American V8 into a classic Japanese car is pretty cool. However, racing your cool car on a public, busy street in the middle of the day is not cool for what should be pretty obvious reasons. It's just a stupid, irresponsible, selfish thing to do, and any legit racing driver would probably agree.

No...its not responsible...But this vid is actually pretty weak sauce compaired to some of the races ive seen. Personally, I prefer street racing...on 4 relatively clear lane highways, country roads, ect.. Why? Because it costs plenty of coin to drive a v8 50+ miles to the nearest 1/8th mile...and over 100+ miles for a 1/4. Just to show a buddy of mine that my v6 PWNS 350's all day.

BTW...just to throw this out there. I LOVE the Z and I think its an awesome build...I love the old 240 and 260's...really fun car from the looks of it. Just needs more tire. I"m sure the owner would agree...

You are obviously quite ignorant about that Z, or any Z for that matter so I will 'splain it to you barney style.
The Z has a ~650HP supercharged LT1 in it. 240Zs weigh in at about 2500 lbs. That's a 1:4 power to weight ratio...about the same as the R1's, cept it has more tire area for traction.
Also, the R1 wouldn't have destroyed it off the line because if you try to clutch dump launch a crotch rocket like that, it will wheelie right on top of you. STFU
