I remember this game like it was yesterday. Hasek gave one of the most incredible goalie performances I've ever seen. That stick measurement call by Colorado was COMPLETE BS and it really showed just how desperate they were at that point.

Coming from an Avs fan: Looking back on this series you realize how much Roy really held the Avs in it. They pretty much had no business winning even 3 of these games if it weren't for his timely saves. Alas, the Game 6 Statue of Liberty gaffe proved to be the entire team's undoing. You could see even before that the wear and tear of 2 seven game series was getting to them. I still believe they would've beaten Carolina if they got past Detroit though...

That's what I loved about Hasek...he didn't give a rip about style points...his only style was keep the puck out by any means necessary. Probably the most flexible goalie ever.

Dominik hasek grant fuhr billy smith ken dryden ect ect ect were all great hall of fame goaltenders who i never seen showboated like this in a game.

Prior to this game scotty bowman said im glad roy never won a gold medal for canada in the olympics because we would never stop hearing about it.

Im glad what happened to him this game it couldnt have happened to a bigger dickhead!

The Avs made the dumbest move after this playoff run by treading away Chris Drury to the Flames. That's why they have never been the same and being the wings fan that I am, it was a great move for the wings!!!!!

Ièm a wings fan, but I respect Avs as being the worthy foes that they are (minus claude lemieux).

I admit, the Drury trade was outright bonehead, as he is one of the best young two way players in the league at the time and the sucessor to the avs leadership.

This was probably Hasek's best game of the playoffs. He was huge.
