OMG this sounds rather awful to be honest :D is this a High School band or what? This is full of mistakes. I do respect the effort and even the will to play this masterpiece on a symphonic level. I'm just not too sure with the execution of this intention...
Well, the melody for Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" (1983) is a very well known tune that's been sampled many times across the world since the 80s. It's the kind of tune we've all heard but just didn't know where it originated from... until YouTube and Wikipedia came along.
... I am sure that one day these pieces will be played at Opera theaters, with thousands attending, ... and at last be recognized as genuine pieces of art.
The music is beautiful. Recording quality is dissapointing though. But I don't care so much about the quality of the recording; I imagine what emotion it would bring in me to hear this live!
We <3 you Rob :)

The International Karate theme music was indeed inspired by Ryuichi Sakamoto's soundtrack for Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence.

@Jagged85 I just heard a remake of that song and went "O SHIT I know that from somewhere!"
After about 5 minutes of google, wiki gave me the answer: Playing International Karate 15 years ago on my brothers Commodore 64 :D
