It's too bad she didn't ask him if he supported ending Medicare as a government program. He would have put on quite a show in trying to avoid saying yes. He does want to end Medicare, there's a great YouTube video in which he all but says so.

I think he answered the question great. You can't estimate how many people are going to buy Health Insurance if it got more affordable. He says "we'll bring down the cost" not "we'll force xx,000,000 people to be on it."

And for the record. I love Obama's Health Care plan. I love it when the government takes my tax dollars and forces everybody on the plan, and if you don't pay you get punished. It's how the world should be. I want Food tax too.

It isn't socialist to provide more choice at a cheaper price. It would be socialist if Obama's government decided to purchase the private health insurance industry or the health care business were run by the government, and there's nothing in any bill before congress proposing anything remotely resembling socialism. The clinton years. We ran a surplus and taxes were low. That's the thing, government spending without taxing is borrowing. The borrowing started during Bush years as a result of the massive spending increases coupled with the massive tax cuts. That's why I prefer a tax and spend liberal over a borrow and spend conservative. Sure, Obama's doing a lot of borrowing too but it's kind of necessary to deal with the severe economic downturn we're in along with the massive debt and deficits.

Inflation is at one of it's lowest points in history. This reform has been backed by AMA and AARP. There's nothing here that should cause consternation from corporations, as even Wal-Mart supports it. To have corporations claim things like that is due to selfishness and not any concrete reason. I used to support Congressman Paul until I found out he was a theocrat, and I don't take kindly to religion trying to take my government over. I know our dollar is being devalued! It's because we ended up borrowing over $5 TRILLION over Bush's two terms. The Fed dropped the interest rate at the behest of Bush & company, because, like tax cuts, Republicans view low interest rates as one of the only things that can spur our economy, i.e. Reaganomics.
