@RedStreak40 Not necessarily; just very inconvenient—the work space would be pretty restricted since they aren't that big, but at the same time, not too small.
@RedStreak40 It really comes down to you to decide. You'll find that the bigger the tablet, the better you feel drawing; downside being it's not very portable and sort of heavy. The smaller the tablet, the more you have to adjust while working on a project, and I've found that I lose interest in drawing after a long time working because of it; however, it's very portable and light weight, very low profile. I'd go bigger if I was to only use the tablet at home and have enough space to set it up.
@RedStreak40 But I'd go smaller if I have a laptop as well, and would like to take it everywhere I go, and use it whenever I'm presented with an opportunity!
man that is amazing stuff. i saw you using some techniques for example the small pebbles was that gradient? im just getting into this digital art thing so can you explain some of your techniques? and keep it up, man thats some amazing stuff.
@Coltranized the thing where you lassoed small areaqs and then turned them to pebbles was that gradient? if so what pattern did you use? cuz when i do it on one half of the drawing all the pebbles end up a different color then the other half. can you explain how you did that? and how did you change the painting from all black and white to that cool colour tone? when i use photo filter i never get the same results that i had in mind
Not sure if you already know, but you can buy new Surface Sheets at the wacom estore to replace over the active area on your tablet. That should take care of your scratch.
You are very talented and I give you cudo's on a very well done work piece. I really like the symbolical use of the reptile as the target. Has anyone else noticed that yet as the post don't show they have. They do have a machine gun that can pump out 1 million rounds in 1 to 2 seconds. It makes my butt pucker thinking of it as you could use it not just to chop down doors but walls as well and you could swap up on the type of ammo. The same with the sonic cannon as it can be set to lethal range.
Thanks, SKeene1956! Its really a scary thought, but we can't do much about it, unfortunately. In this particular piece, I set out to capture the essence of how truly internal a war could get without one even knowing. Where else could that missile come from? :)
That is where the only true war that matters takes place. It is us and we are the enemy. We have to strive to reach a higher level of perception to do right and not allow carnal nature take over. What other noble and worthy thing could we do for ourselves as well as the world. This pollution we have created will require GOD to burn it to really clean our mess. Atlantic and Pacific Garbage dumps for continent to continent or close enough. Plastic degrades and enters food chain. Chemistry kill us
We can try, but the corporations will just continue ramming us with things they hope will sell (if not sit forgotten, or be thrown away carelessly, even if it means harming the environment). No amount of awareness can cure this disease. Especially if it is us who drives it forward. Thats the sad reality. . . we've gotten ourselves this far and now we wait. . . hopeful. . . afraid.
We at some point have to claim personal responsibility on our actions as well as other mass produced products and I don't see that happening in even a small way for people want the illusion of comfort and not see the hidden cost. We have all become selfish. We need to start seeing the relations in all things. Better living through modern chemistry my ass. Oil based products have done in 10 years more pollution in all prior years. I make it a personal pledge to attempt to change.
Its difficult; we haven't tried any such change (to go green or anything) since no one is really capable of doing so unless you are fairly wealthy and willing to fork up tons of money. There aren't many options; at least not ones that you can see without having to do intensive research on. But you are right, we should try to change, even if its minor.
but lets say i have a big computer screen, very big, will it be IMPOSSIBLE to draw using the small size tablet

do you think the size of the tablet matters, is small ok?

That was cool! But is that a jet-turbine on the dinos back?

Its actually a sophisticated launch pad that shots tiny missiles — one every forty seconds — at its target.
