I agree with Butternife83 about Levitt being a good actor and all. He was amazing in Brick but he is a little too young to play Cobra Commander. That is just my opinion.

This looks like it wil have the same issue as Transformers.

1. No respect, or regard even, for the source material.

2. Takes itself SO seriously even though it is unbelievably unintentionally hilarious.

3. Send in the cliche's! Something that would be fine if they didn't take themselves so seriously as I mentioned above.

4. Miscasting to the MAX.

5. Character DEVELOPMENT anyone?

At least transformers was fun to look at, but I will judge this movie when I see it. But I will not pay to see it

To be honest, I think this movie looks awful.

And, at least with the new trailer, I see nothing apart from the character's NAMES, that shares any similarity with the G.I. Joe I grew up with.

But, apart from that, it looks like a bad movie, mindless, but taking itself seriously. I don't mind the mad miscasting, it is the script.

and AVP sucks it would only work Animated maybe CGI like Clone Wars but R Rated

Predator 2 is one of those movies I love but not because it was a good movie, it was one of thwe first mvies I ever saw and is probably responsible for my unsettling fascination with mass destruction.

Have you seen Josepth Gordon Levitt act in The Lookout? or Manic? or Brick? The guy is a kickass actor. Fanboys need to shut up and give the guy a chance. I think he will rock the shit out of Cobra Commander.

Yeah, that' funny you would say that cuz they were both in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You together. Also, after that movie both actors never stopped doing the bumblegum pop type of movie and went on to do serious work. Seriously, go rent Manic! He is incredible in that film. You will have a hard time thinking it is the same guy in 3rd Rock From the Sun. I hope he does the body acting and the voice. He could totally do it. People were groaning at Heath Ledger doing the Joker that worked out
