@jaymi216 yea but arent all the priest of R'hllor saying that the man with one black eye and 6 arms is the Other and if you read closely Bloodraven has only one black eye and 6 weirwood branches growing out of him. Oh and there is also a part where he tells bran that if he wants to be a greenseer he must embrace the darkness. P.S. he is controlling an Other when Bran first encounter him out of the wall
@Thorr30 What about Aegon Targaryen, Rhaegar's son from Elia Martell? What about Stannis Baratheon, Robert's brother? In the end, it won't matter who has the better claim, what will matter is who will be best equipped to deal with the Others, who are coming. at the end of the day, neither the dragons of Daenerys nor the god of light, R'hlorr, or even the bravery of Jon Snow (even if he's Azor Ahai reborn), that won't matter. Only the Winged Wolf, Bran Stark, will be ready. he's the true king.
@jaymi216 the series is a song of ice and fire, that kind of foreshadows that fire and ice will clash, the dragons will help fight the others, bran is a cripple. he may be a green seer, but he cant fight them alone, danerys dragons will help
@Shreddur666 a cripple who can fly... so far, Bloodraven has told him that he'll most definitely fly, and he might not ever walk again, but there's still a chance though. also, remember the Winter's supposed to be devastating, spurning anywhere from ten to forty years, more than enough time for Bran to grow up and be a hero. by the time spring comes, a whole lot of people will be dead, but Bran and Rickon will be alive. building Winterfell.
I thought Rob and the North should have joined forces with Stanis, and supported him as King. After all, Stanis has the most legitimate claim, really.
I´ve always liked young Robb the best, he reminds me some of shakespearian characters. Renly would make fine king, but in a different time. Stannis is the man, uh. And who the fuck cares about Greyjoy? ... Jesus, that picture from Red wedding is pretty hardcore. "Please, let him go..."
It's Joffrey Baratheon! His name was Joffrey Baratheon! xD
He was a bastard, but for all intents and purposes he spend his whole life as a Baratheon (just influenced and raised poorly by his bitch mother Cersei)
@cherubagent544 Well he called it like it is Joffrey dosen't have a drop of baratheon blood in him and the house baratheon joined either Stannis or Renly so Joffrey "Lannister" is more true.
@DrBlackworth *spoilers* Not really true, There were three Baratheon armies in the war, one stark army, one greyjoy army, and techincally no Lannister armies. There was no official Lannister claim to the throne at any point... because they are sneaky like that
@cherubagent544 There were lannister armies the lannisters were the ONLY house that supported Joffrey. Technically there were three baratheon armies but truly none of the baratheon houses supported joffrey
@DrBlackworth *spoilers* Well, depending on how far you read the Tyrells did too. I am basing this entirely off of the codex at the back of the book, where it lists the armies as being baratheon of kings
Which is Joffrey's army. He was never once known as Joffrey Lannister, only after his coronation and by his enemies
@DrBlackworth They never actually fought for him, just marched about incredibly slowly, so of course they count. It's Westeros, allegiances are not carved in stone. At best, they are scribbled on butter.
@cherubagent544 good point so the tyrells could change allegance anytime the lannisters loyalty to joffrey was firmly planted as was the Norths and the riverlands were completely loyal to Robb exept for of course a handfull of treacherous houses the Freys and The Boltons. so again unless the allegance of the houses are firlmy planted i don't count them as true allies
@DrBlackworthWell *spoilers* the count of firm allies -and their loyal bannermen-: The north had Starks and Tully's, The Iron Islands had only Greyjoy, The Baratheons of the Narrow Sea had Stannis, the Florents, and all R'hhllor lovers, The Baratheons of Highgarden had Baratheon forces and Tyrell forces until Renly died, the Baratheons of Kings Landing had only Lannister but a defensible city, and then Arryn and Martell did nothing. So really with only the true allies counted North should of won
@cherubagent544 Agreed they might of won if it hadn't been for the basterd freys and boltons if they hadn't of betrayed Robb there is a good chance the North and the Riverlands would of kick joffrey in the ass.
@DrBlackworth Man I can't wait to see how the last book ends. I hope it is not a simple "Jaime wins" ending or anything, I want it to be complex so it's harder to spoil for someone else online. a 'snape kills dumbledore' asoiaf ending would be awful :P
@cherubagent544 you mixed them up a bit... The North and the Riverlands declared Robb Stark their king. The Westerlands and Crownlands followed Joffrey Baratheon (who really is a Lannister), the Reach and the Stormlands backed Renly Baratheon, until he died. the Reach (ruled by House Tyrell) went over to Joffrey Baratheon's side. Dragonstone and most of the Stormlands (after Renly's death) went to Stannis Baratheon. Dorne (under the Martells) had no dog in the war. the Vale was neutral as well.
@jaymi216I am pretty positive that's what I said? I read over my thing at it looks the same only you used the proper titles and stuff for places I can't always remember properly. Genuinelly not sure which part I got wrong, but yeah, yours is correct!
@Shreddur666 sure, but it'll be a fool's errand even if he gets to sit on the throne, Aegon Targaryen won't last long. the struggle for power, the game of thrones, that's all entertaining and a little bit more than being a distraction. the story will be determined by whether or not the Others can be defeated, and so far, only Bran Stark and Jojen Reed, and the Wildings from beyond the Wall (maybe even the Night's Watch) recognize the danger the realm is facing, the world is facing.
Actually, only 3 of the 5 kings sought to sit the Iron Throne. Two (Robb and Balon) only sought to sit their own thrones: as The King in the North and the Seastone Chair.
@bluechao And Renly died before Balon rebelled. But 'The War Of The Five Kings' sounds catchier than 'The War Of The Four Kings But Then One Died And Then Another Fourth Guy Tried To Claim The Throne But Two Of Them Wanted Independence When The Other Three Wanted The Iron Throne'.
Robb Stark was my favorite King. He woudl've made a great one, had his young urges not get the better of him. If only he married one of the Freys, he would be the King of the North.
At least Joffrey died, hated the bastard. Only one I like now is Stannis. Cause he has the best claim to the throne.
@Whitewalls19 "best claim to the throne"? Are you shitting me? His claim is that his brother was the previous king, sure, but his brother's claim was conquest. Can he seriously begrudge anyone else who wants to conquer the throne. I like Dany's claim more. Her family ruled more or less stably for generations. If she can reclaim the throne, and it looks like she can, then her conquest will be much more justified than Robert Baratheon's.
@Whitewalls19 Robb needed 10 more years to mature-fact is NED would have never supported Robbs claim. Ned suported Stannis and never would have made himself KIng of the north under any circumstances.
Hi. Nice video. I am a big admirer of George R R Martin. I only wonders if their is a book about the war preceding the events in "A Game of Thrones". The rebellion against the Mad King and the Crown Prince Rhaegar. Wich ended in the blood-drenched beaches of the Trident. Anyone know if he wrote a book about that subject?
To bad. But perhaps he will make one more trilogy after he is finished with his current Masterpiece. I really like his writing, its bloody, raw and intriguing.
The reason he doesn't have one is that there are many mysteries about what happened back then that he has yet to reveal to the readers. He will probably write one after he EVER finishes this series.
king robb of the north and king renly of the south should have their kids already, and form a new emperor house, just like i'd been planned for sansa and joff
even if the dragons came, they'd probably get killed, cuz by then the land would be stable
Actually this video is kind of wrong. Robert Stark never wanted the Iron Throne. The north and the river lands where fighting to secede from the seven kingdoms and form a new sovereign kingdom with Robert as king of the north.
Renly and Joffrey suck, who gives a shit about greyjoy, Robb is dead.... Stannis is alright but he's a jerk. WHO'S LEFT TO ROOT FOR!!!!!!?????? (I'm leaving out Daenerys I never liked her)

Robb and Ballon had no intention to sit on the Iron throne.
And Joffrey is, technically, a Baratheon still. Nobody came with enough evidence to prove otherwise.
