i've seen bright eyes 6 times and the Austin City Limits (ACL) show (the one they did for the TV program on PBS) was the best of all five (all five were great). It obviously has special meaning for me but I actually saw them twice before this with my dad. :) My dad is awesome haha. :) anyway thanks for this and did someone say you can get the entire concert through pirate bay? i will check that out :) p.s. Check out "Monsters of Folk," Conor and Mike of Bright Eyes, Jim James and M. Ward's band
I was there. Austin is my city. 2004, I was 13, had my first boyfriend, this was our 1st date. Indescribable. Austin City Limits is a good show, they let Bright Eyes feel at home, the workers do well. Bright Eyes is beyond words- almost magical. We went to what's called "tune-up" the day before at the studio and got to meet Conor, Mike and Jim James (Jim wasn't in this song he was in others-the 3 are now in "Monsters of Folk"). All were very sweet to us star-struck kids. Thanks for this so much
@mancheromanchero yes he is really really really talented and good, he doesn't get half the credit he deserves. don't get me wrong i LOVE Conor- im absolutely certain conor wishes mike got more credit too, i got to meet conor, mike, and jim james day before this concert in 2004, all were really nice. mike and conor have been great friends for about 14 years, and are now in "Monsters of Folk" along with Jim James with whom they've been friends for I think 11 years and also with M. Ward. All good.
I would like to know how he doesn't just start crying during his performances? I get tears streaming the first couple seconds of just listening. He needs to realize how amazing his music really is.
@ninjakz2 a musician is never aware of their good or bad they actually are. In fact, if Conor is anything like me, then he's a perfectionist who is never happen with his work

It was this performance on Austin City Limits that got me hooked on Bright Eyes.
This song always brought tears to my eyes.
