Someone asked the question that this answer applies to:

The website for the Smule app with fingering for the smule app do not always work on a standard four hole. I have a four hole and some of the smule fingerings do not work at all (Terrible sound). The tabs are workable with a little work, but straight off the site you're going to have to check the work and make edits to make it playable on a real ocarina.

when i tried ocarina smule and when i saw the instructions with your thumbs having to be under the iphone i then realized that i had to do that with the holes on my ocarina.

OK, I just realized this.  I know it's not really about the video, but it sure did help me figure it out.

If you look at the fingering chart, playing the major scale is like counting in binary!

It plays exactly like a 4-hole ocarina, with a few exceptions. It uses several more combinations for additional pitches, so if you're already familiar with the 4 hole, you only have to learn several more combos :)

mmmmmmm... i have a phone, a laptop an i pod so i guess thers no sense in buyng an iphone its practical but really really expensive in my country (mexico) they are selling them for 645 pesos per month that should be about 60 dolars and u have to pay for two years so thats 15480 pesos!!!! that should be around 1500 dolars!!!! way to expensive with that i could by a songbird pendant, a spencer, an stl, a maparam, and the 7 pack from focalink
