  • got an extra ghost note man

  • you had the same problem I used to have, after he lifts the hi hat in the groove, just keep going with the hi hat shuffle, dont add a pause after it, it gives it a stopped sound, fix that, then your good :)

  • How did you get the track wthout the drums

  • That was...incredible. Wow

  • wow 5 stars! oh no YouTube doesnt have ratings anymore... :/

  • Try "Sweet potato Pie" by James Taylor + Ray Charles, so similar drum lick to this and Another Way To Die.

  • Nice Job man!

  • sounds of summer '08... fuck yeah

  • Nice job

  • nice job dude!

  • Very nice cover of a very difficult song.

  • dude i Really hate to critique you on your fine impression But, dont stop the beat on your hi hat right after you open/close the hi hat. Also when you go to the ride, dont forget to do the ghost notes. At the end he goes back to the hi hats too!

  • your good

  • A little to much snare drum ring....but good overall job

  • soo god

  • I only have two words for you MillerTimeMonkey...Nailed it!

  • *PING!*

  • Excellent job.

  • I have the actual song playing on my itunes and this play in the same timing (Which took a while)

Its well worth the time to make its exact because its sound EXACTLY like the song with enhanced drums

  • Holy fuck

  • Good work!

  • Nice Job even with ad-lib fills during the calypso "dance" prior to the guitar solo. I would never knock anyone who added to Bohnam's riff...ever. Tremendous Job! I loved watching the cars blaze by on the interstate outside your window! Thanks!

  • Nice job!!

  • Nice job. Ever thought about covering "In My Time Of Dying"

  • i think thats how bonzo did it

  • nice fucking snare, what is that a Ludwig or a Yamaha?

  • hottie!!!

  • really amazing! great job

  • i love this beat its so amazing and so fun after u learn it

  • Yeah im currently learning that track on the drums and its something!

the hi hat part is the hardest to keep the beat will everything!

    good job man!

  • the snare sounds kinda like a timbale, which rlly enhances the sound...this is absolutely amazing for one year

  • Dude, how old are you? You're a white teenager with some soul/groove! Nice job. Keep it up.

  • This is, by far, the best way to learn stamina. Play your favorite songs on headphones. I learned to play drums this way, no lessons.

  • @ledamate

dude, me too! it also makes you more creative and loosen up.

  • @ledamate you speak the truth man, i learned guitar that way :P

  • @ledamate Same I also learned from myself... but youtube tip videos helped me for this song... haha

  • well you do need some lessons i feel for 1) technique and 2) different music styles that your ipod or you might never play on you own. But i do agree, jamming to your ipod will teach you how to feel the beat. Good cover Millertimemonkey, now just find a band and learn to grove with other people.@ledamate

  • @ledamate same here, and now i play drums in my school orchestra, tough i first played guitar.

  • Yessir

  • very nice job

  • u nailed this one!

  • Well played sir!! excellent!

  • the drums in this song are awsome. i was listening to just the drums for it and u can easily here the song playing in ur head. idk if im making anysense

  • Nice job indeed. Thanks for sharing.

  • great job man, keep it up, sounds awesome

  • Damn fine job sir!! Can you do something with that snare drum though please.

  • whats your main cymbal

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful!

  • Holy shit that is scary!! As soon as I played this video this same song came on the radio O.o Anyways nice drum cover!!!!!!!! 5* all the way!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheSubdivisions what the hell

wat station do you listen to

all they play on the radio now is that bieber crap

  • @PMOCAPALDI there's a dial on most radios that allows you to change the station thats playing, so what i usually do is put my finger on that dial and twist it to turn of the pop station, then i keep twisting it until a classic rock station comes up.

  • @PMOCAPALDI Q102/102.3 biatch! but I live in northern oklahoma where no one cares about bieber and all other mainstream cwap.

  • @SynsonicsFreak haha i live in cali

    mainstream capital of the usa

  • @TheSubdivisions

The odds of hearing this song on the radio are like 1 in 3

  • @kuklinskills Not my radio station. It's like a 1 in 200 chance of playing here.

  • @kuklinskills dude what radio station do you listen too? please tell me it sounds fucking awesome!

  • @TheSubdivisions lol thats pretty damn awesome lmfao!

  • good job, nice sounding snare

  • anyone got this on paper? the tabs, a link or something would be awsome.

great video! best drum beat ever

  • its good but the groove from "Roseanna" by Toto is kick ass

  • basically the same groove just sped up

  • yes, similar, but toto's has different bass drum pattern, both killer grooves

  • Indeed.

  • Toto's drummer has said he wanted to do a song with a beat like Fool In The Rain in tribute to Bonham

  • its actually the "purdie shuffle", inspired by bernard purdie. 1/2 time shuffle

  • Yup. Though Jeff Porcaro actually said he wanted to do a song with a beat like Fool In The Rain. Hence 'Rosanna'!

  • you said it for me!!

  • nice work little fellow!

  • dang man...how long did this take you to learn? one of the best i've seen...i wish i could play this

  • Very nice work.

  • wow...good drumcover!

  • thats some beast skills right there

  • were you ever in a marching band?

  • looks like he could still be in high school. but how does that have anything to do with this video?

  • Really good cover!

  • great job man...

do I hear cover band? you got that part pat....

  • your awsome man keep it up.

  • dude i cant get over this, you played it perfectly. great job

  • Ya. Definitely the best fool in the rain cover i've seen on this site. Nice job bro.

  • Excellent. You use tons of accent. Tons of ghost notes. All sorts of wonderful things going on here in this video. The left side of your body works well. Almost all drummers only really use the right side of their body. I have some 35,000 utube video views and you are maybe the best drummer, at least in the very top five or so, I have heard on utube. Excellent. Thank you, thank you very much.

  • insane cover. keep it up

  • its also called the purdie shuffle and the porcaro shuffle

    just so you know

  • GREAT JOB!

  • nice:) i went to my friends house and he could play it too. its such a cool shuffle

  • great job!!!!

  • that is a friggin beat and a half.

  • Nice cover! The snare ring is a little annoying, but your toms are tuned amazingly!

  • your snare rings to much

  • You have no doubt? You are just 100% sure? What if he likes it that way? Can you play drums or are you just knowing things?

    I like it that way!

  • Says who?

  • do u read music or did u find a tab? if its a tab please tell me where i can find it

  • during the samba part, the accents are on timbales it sounds like (Wampler) Really nice job man! Drums sound good too. I like the cowbell improve on the Samba. Thank yo for doing the shuffle and not just keeping eigth notes on the hi hat like I have seen lots of people do. That's what makes the groove. I hate when people do that!

  • Great job! Spot on.

  • Haha, why'd you tag Foo Fighters?

  • Man do i love that beat

  • Great cover. You have that shuffle beat down.

  • Awsome man!

  • nicely done those ghost notes are tough

  • good job man, half time shuffle is a bitch

  • Wow thats fricking awesome dude. Fool in the rain is my face led zep song. I love the drum rolls right before the guitar solo.

  • It's so classic and tasteful!!!

  • it's like so coool

  • u went to that lame ass sounds of summer yamaha camp? good vid though

  • ha, yes i did.

    thanks.

  • I agree. I only went to those camps to get to know instructors that could possible give a good word for some DCI cores.

  • There is no way you've only been playing a year! Wow! You got that shuffle down really well. Great job man.

  • yeah!!!

  • I heard this song driving home from work and decided I wanted to see a drum cover. You were the first that came up. Nice job! Not being a drummer myself though, I have to ask... from like 3:50 to 3:53 it doesn't look like you are playing what Bonzo is playing. Is that all in the bass drums and I just can't see it?

  • he's playing everything on the snare. The main difference is that bonzo adds a few of the accents in on the toms.

  • No, Bonham does not have any accents on the tom. All of the ghost notes and accents are on the snare.

  • i'm pretty sure the sound changes pitches. during the samba the accents are on the & of 3 and 4.

  • I always loved the drumbeat to this song, right from the moment I first heard it, it really stood out.

  • Yep nice control and I totally understand the eyes closed approach! Awesome song - Love Jimmys lead break with the octave pedal going on -nice fat sound. Nice interpretation thru the latino bridge by the way.

  • nice accents!

  • Really Good!

  • I gotta have more cowbell baby!!

  • woooow ur cool

  • I gotta fevah!

  • great job man

  • that song has a very sophisticated combination of hi-hat opening/closing. perfect timing man great vid.

  • Good Job man. Bonzo Would Be Proud.

  • yea. good thing bohnam was the person who played for zeppelin. but I guess bonzo could be proud.

  • ahahahaha

  • What? John Bonham's nickname is Bonzo. It sounded like you thought they were two different people

  • haha seriously????

    bonzo = john bohnam

  • u retard??????? u retard??????

  • poser! go watch tokio hotel vids!

  • Led Zeppelion Not Dead...

    XD Bonzo

  • it's a difficult song good playing...

    XD Bonzo

  • move that 13x9 rack-tom over to the left, in place of the smaller one...

(i.e. you should learn to play with only one rack-tom)

  • He can set up his kit the way he's comfortable with it.

You know, because it's his kit.

  • why should he limit himself to one rack-tom? almost all prodrummers have a minimum of three toms if they only have one rack tom they usually have two floor toms

  • Any difference....

  • he can play how ever he wants? lol

  • I thought you cranked this out really well. Great job.

  • walang kwenta!!!

  • i agree with your comment in more info this beat isnt that hard (i can play it) but it does sound really good

  • this is awesome man...I have a set and tried to do this song but i'm not that good yet.

  • Nice job man

  • your drumming to this song is great

perfect roll by the way that was awesome

If you keep it up, you will defenitly go somewhere with your drumming

  • hey armistace i herd you paid justin to let you suck his dick, now thats fucking gay

  • fucking bitches and there comments, where your vids

  • this sounds gay, but im really proud of you for choosing this song. I thought (from watching your other vids) you hd such amazing timing and accuracy that you should go for a more risky song, this is perfect. Gotta love that shuffle beat Purdie-Style, and you got the fills pretty much down.

    Nice video man.

  • nice job dude BOHNAM STARTED IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your adding an extra ghost note or 2, but sounds great. keep it up

  • yeah hes addin a little Purdie feel in there. sounds good.

  • wow ur good

  • Great job; you nailed it! ...and your drums sound awesome. You couldn't have picked a better song to show your drumming talent.

  • I just watched Steve Smith completely torture John Bonham's riffs.... thank you for playing them correctly and having a very nice feel for the song.

    Steve Smith = FAIL

    MillerTimeMonkey = MAJOR WIN!

  • Lmao, is there actually competition for this shit now?

  • fucking awesome

  • i dont know why, but... i love the sound of your snare drum!!

  • Hey BTW, the fill everyone is talkin about at 3:50... Its an overdub folks, go back and listen to the record. So... Dude you nailed it.

  • agreed...nice playing man..

  • Its a cover... Anyone who understands the basic definition of cover would know it SHOULDN'T be the same as the studio...

I mean cmon, Zeppelin themselves didn't even play it live the same they did in the studio.

  • ...they never played it live lulz

  • Uhhh yea they did. They played it only twice live, and Plant played it numerous times on his Solo tour.

  • Yeah, I know he played it on his solo tour, would you mind sending a live Zeppelin one my way?

  • I feel like you should be swinging on the ride, but i could be wrong

  • god you look sick of the song.

    god.

  • oh man you did miss it at 3:50, and you were doing just great too! That happens to be my favorite fill of the entire song, I was looking forwart to hearing you play it after that wonderful shuffle you did! You need a Do over bro. Peace.

  • anybody know if the its an accent on 1 2 3 4 or is it a normal hit on 1 2 3 4.

  • so much better than the bazy beats one
