I still have my Drift and it doesn't do any of that. I've had it for a year now.

The biggest problem I have is that I use up all my available free space withing 4-5 months and have to sync my contacts and reset the phone. WTF????? there's no way of clearing cache! I called the outsourced tech support 3 times and they give me instructions how to do it, but it's for an updated phone or something because I simply CANNOT do it!!! I have yet to get the contacts to sync either.. which royally pissed me off when I had to manually enter all my numbers...

Anyone have this issue?

I dig mine overall, my first one was glitched a thousand ways til it fell out of my jacket while riding my motorcycle. I still have a few problems but nothing horrible.

there's an easy way to fix that. it's annoying, but all u have to do is delete google maps, and then reinstall it. the reason is because of google map's enormous cache. deleting the program removes it.

ohhhhh, this happened to me and I hated it with a PASSION. Especially when u mistakely press the right key (a shortcut for games) and you end up having to remove the battery and restarting the phone. But i wish i knew that when i still had it, now i have a blackberry with T-mobile.

It's probably an erroneous device. Just exchange it for a new one. It doesn't mean all the Drifts will do that

Electronics aren't perfect; they're far from it. You probably have a dud. All you have to do is replace it. Or, find a workaround.

Mine does the same thing but I deal with it. I never play the games so that part doesn't bug me, but trying to get to the gps is a pain in the ass sometimes.... And my internet has been sucking too

allright people when you have tons of games and aps on the drift it takes a little longet to load the menu sucha as accessing the GPS or Obopay features, loose some of the aps and games you dont actually use and the drift works fine...

when hovering over the apps menu, in the main menu, the right top button "Last" will quickly load the last used app such as google maps with minimal delay, this is the best advice I can give you until I play arround a little more.

i have had a helio for over 2 months now. no problems at all! If your helio is defective and you get the protection program it can be replaced. I agree that CS is terrible, but if you have any larger issues i suggest contacting tech support directly -- very very helpful!

Tech support wasn't real helpful, they get mad at you if what they say doesn't work.

I know but did you try calling. Customer service sucks but the phone is great. I had that problem with my other phone but they exchanged it and the new one works fine.

Any phone can behave like that. They are all small computers and occasionally need re-booting - take battery out - put battery in. Easy fix. duuuuhhhh

Yea, the service is aweful too, they gave me false information on cancelling and now they are charging me a termination fee of $175. All of the customer service reps are retards, they dont kno what they are talking about, and they ask too many questions when you simply want to cancel. T-Mobile is the best ive had, and trust me, ive had many, many service providers through the years.
